diseases, I feel it is importantto known whether all of the children are comfortable for an outdoor activity.
Consultation with the children while planning activities are important to take their consent and decisions
regarding their comfort towards the activity.

a) What information are you allowed to collect under the legislation about children/families in your
care?
According to the education and care service national law act 2010, some of the information that I am
allowed to collect includes details regarding the emergency contact, details of the authorized person
who will collect the child, the address, the telephone number, the occupational details of the
parents together with the age, health status and the types of vaccination they have received till
date.
b) What procedures must you follow to protect the information you have collected.
I must ensure all the security of the gathered data to preserve the right for the protection of the
personal data under the clause of the confidentiality. Documentation of the data in password
protected data bases together with the ensuring of the all the protection from the data leakages are
some of the major factors that I need to look upon.
