The Business Problem
An Enterprise named ChemExec is continuously declining its revenue and profits in the business
of pharmacy due to the chaos and cumbersome procedure to handle the software shortcomings
that the company is currently using. The different tasks of the business like entering the orders of
the prescriptions for patients, billing of the orders and the procedure of managing all record
became complex. Moreover, the process of Private Health Care Fund reimbursement procedure
also becomes a complex procedure. So to overcome this entire problem this software solution is
created in collaboration of the two companies.
A statement of purpose
The main objective to build this software is to appropriately handle the tasks that are performed
manually with more accuracy and replacing the obsolete software that the company was using
which is now incapable to manage all the records and billing functionalities. This solution will
provide an appropriate solution to all the problems that the enterprise is facing including the
unwieldy database and the complex management of funds and reimbursements policies also.
The Benefits
The benefit of the software which is developed by the company MelPolSys and ChemExec will
expect to provide a big help to the company in order to increase its revenue by managing all the
activities that are performing currently manually. As the management team is investing time in
creating a solution for increasing the revenue and reducing the cost of the business so this
software is the ultimate solution for the business increment in revenue and reduction in the cost.
Overall the software solution is expected to provide the profit to the company which was lost in
past few years as well as to increase the efficiency of working in the company to minimize the
cost and increment in the revenue of the company.
System Capabilities
The software which will be developed in joint with both the organizations, MelPolSys and
ChemExec will be capable of entering the orders that the customer has ordered on the telephone,
all the billing system will be done properly and with accuracy as well as all procedures of the
management of the inventory which are currently managed manually will be able to upgrade and
managed by the software and that too by proper accuracy and more precisely. The database
which is currently used by the company has become complex to manage so this solution will
provide easy access and make the management easier and least complex.
Exclusions
The solution provided for the company will not include the tracking system of the order means if
the customer order any prescription then an expected delivery date will be sent to the customer
but the customer cannot get the information of the current status of the prescription. Just the
expected delivery date can be seen by the customer. The solution currently does not have online
payment options, customer needs to pay cash after the delivery of the order. The only total
amount that user need to pay will be displayed in the option of payment.

FUNCTIONALITY
The software solution which is created in order
to increase the revenue of the organization will
provide different functionalities such as online
management of the billing systems,
management of the inventories of the orders,
control of prices in repaying and refunding,
keep the data stored of all the funds and
reimbursement of the organization.
USABILITY The software will take the order, show the list
of all inventories, will display the total amount
of the order which a user needs to pay, and the
web application is properly interacting with the
user by navigations and arrows that are
provided on the application. The user can view
all the details about the order and the billing of
the ordered prescription as well. The user can
get the expected delivery date of the order.
RELIABILITY The software is reliable and the software can be
accessed anytime and from anywhere. All the
functions that are provided in the software are
giving accurate results to the users and provide
immediate result without wasting time. The
recoverability time of the system is least in case
the system get shut down due to any failure of
the internal system like electricity shutdown or
server problems. So the solution provided is
quite reliable and efficient.
PERFORMANCE The performance of the system is high and
provides correct information which the user
wants and searching for. The response time of

the system is also accurate and takes minimum
time to display the asked results, therefore, the
performance of the system is proving to be
satisfactory for the user. Moreover, the time
consuming for starting up the software is least
and in case any system failure occurs then the
recoverable time is also minimum.
SUPPORTABILITY The software solution is easy to install and after
all the testing of the software, all the bugs and
errors are noticed and removed. The software
can run on any windows including Windows 7,
10 and other all. The software is scalable and
configured appropriately. The maintenance of
the software is done on a regular basis and all
the bugs and viruses are kept removing from it
which maintains the quality of the software.

The Use case Diagram of the solution is given below:
The Use Case diagram of the following scenario is explained here in which there are five
different actors are created namely, customer, Admin, Marketing Manager, Finance Manager and
one member of the pharmacy. All these actors will play different roles in the provided solution.
The customer needs to login first by adding the credentials and then the customer will select the
suitable prescription which is required. Then the added orders will collectively form an inventory
that will be added into the wish list of the solution provided. Now the role of the pharmacy
member is to add the new prescription if available so that customer can have more options to
select. The customer after selecting the final orders or prescription, it will move to the payment
options where the total payable amount will be shown to the customer in order to pay. Another
role of the customer is to request for the reimbursement if the customer has taken or signed up
for any medical policy which is provided by the Medical and private health care companies that
are collaborated with the ChemExec organization.
The actor pharmacy member is also responsible to check the inventory if in case any prescription
selected by the customer is not available. Finance manager actor will check the medical costs if
the user has taken any policy and if any reimbursement needs to provide to the customer. Also, it

will check for the payments and orders of all customers. Admin actor will check the whole
working of the provided solution by checking the login credentials, it manages the inventory of
the customers, and the entry of every customer in the database will also be managed by this
actor. Admin is the most important actor who will manage most of the software and if any
system failure or error occurs when the responsibility will completely on the admin who need to
check the issue and resolve it or if there is any serious issue which will take some time to resolve
than the admin will inform every other actor also.
All these actors are interconnected with each other in order to make the solution successful, the
marketing and promoting of this collaborative software solution will be done by the marketing
manager of the company which is chosen on a mutual decision of both the companies that are
collaborated. After every action of the customer, the company staff and actor will perform their
tasks and manages all the needs and orders which are done by dividing different tasks to different
actors of the companies. The actors perform their individual task and manage their respective
tasks so that customer does not face any problems and the overall revenue by promoting the
software can be increased and the company aids some profits that were lost and gradually fall out
in the previous few years. So in every way, this solution will provide an opportunity to reduce
the cost of the company and increase the profit for the company.
Therefore, this whole solution is expected to provide benefit to the company in an increment in
the revenue of the organization as well as to increase the efficiency.
