TASK 3
five (5) insights of the data
It is been found that this analysis of such data which describes a brief information about
the event which provides the evidences of crime happened. Data will be obtained by considering
various criminal records in police station. The data provided by the analysis tool have provided
much information about the occurrence of an event. Watson analytics have provided large source
to judge the situation of the crime that was arrived (Christie, 2016). There are five insights which
can be concluded after obtaining the brief explanation of the data. Such insights are as follows:
1. This report have provided that there are more than ninety-nine thousand which are
properly reported and it had also revealed that there are 32 types of primary cases which
are frequently arrived within a specific period. This information has been gathered few
points such as most often occurred crimes and those crimes which are rarely happened.
The gathered information is also helpful in providing that least reported cases are human
trafficking and other narcotic violation which are subjected as common primary types of
cases.
2. It was found that theft and criminal damages are the top most occurred cases which are
almost 22533 in numbers (Williams, Burnap and Sloan, 2017). There are only 4 years of
data which is recorded although the outcome was occurred as large files of pending cases
of crimes.
3. It can be also observed that large criminal activities takes place generally in the month of
August. Huge number of crimes were recorded in this month. Large criminal cases are
recorded in year 2014 at Chicago which were approx 34412 in totality (Cohen and
Felson, 2016). In this country, the Largest number of crimes happened in august which
were recorded as around 9443. These records had covered 23 districts of criminal data
which is responsible for large criminal activities in the area.
4. It is also been concluded that there are 369 crimes which were emerged as domestic cases
. And most of the crimes were found at STREET 7044 which is the prime location where
the crime is occurred frequently. The report had also provided the records of location
description which is responsible for large number of crime occurred areas.

5. There are 24830 case are of those types in which police had arrested criminals whereas
there are also large reported cases involved where no such arrest warrant of criminals was
arrived. This dataset had also described that at-least 11 crimes in a last year which were
observed as less number of crimes within a particular district.

business intelligence are considerably effective solutions which can be helpful in
preventing the occurrence of frequent crimes. BI provides the solution of many reported cases.
Business intelligence are mainly used to support the crime management by applying the enforced
law and action to manage crimes (Eck and Weisburd, 2015). These types of reporting solutions
and law enforcement practices help the police to get the appropriate information about the
particular crimes. Therefore , this helps in investigating the main evidences of criminal activities.
It will help officers to control those kinds of criminal activities it could be made possible with
the correct implementation of BI reporting solutions. There are many preventions which are used
by police officers to avoid or restrict those crimes in the future. Business intelligence also help in
providing the tools which will be helpful for crime investigation officers to identify the criminal
before the crime is being happened.
It is basically a analytical tool which helps police officers in fighting with the crimes and
this dataset is also used to analyse the information about the main criminal event. Business
analytical report ensures the effective management of criminal practices. There are following
points which describes about the contribution of law towards minimising the criminal records in
country.
 This has provided more reliable information about the occurrence of a specific
event (LaFree, 2018). Enforcement of law have relied on the intelligent source of
data and this helps police in identifying the threats.
 This law was enforced in the year 1995 and this have improved the conditions by
predicting the information about the arrivals of crimes.
 Business intelligence not only contributing towards the prevention of criminal
practices but it also helps in making the world crime-friendly.

Year on year crimes
These are those crimes which are reported on a yearly basis. After the enforcement of business
intelligence laws it was found that application of BI have contributed towards the decreased
number of crimes. As it w2as recorded that there are more crimes occurred in year 2014 and now
since 2016 it have decreased rapidly.
primary data crimes
Primary types of crimes includes battery, theft, kidnapping cases and many more which have
taken great place in the world of crime. So these kind of cases are also prevented with the
establishment of BI reporting solution. For instance there are less number of kidnapping and
intimidation cases are recorded after BI implementation.

District wise crimes
These are those type of cases which are occurred at different districts of chicago. These cases are
also controlled to great extent. The Least crimes are recorded in the dataset after the application
of an analytical business tool.
