2d) 3.Communication plan
As a child care provider, you soon discover that developing positive relationships with
parents is critical to providing the best care possible to their children. Here are 3 key steps to
follow when having difficult conversations with parents. Parents and children are a two-for-one
deal: Developing positive relationships with parents is critical to providing the best care possible
to their children. However sometimes you already have a relationship with the child’s parents—
they may be related to you, live in your neighbourhood, or be friends or acquaintances. This can
be a real benefit since you might already share an open, trusting relationship with the parents.
But this familiarity can also raise some challenges when you are caring for their children.
2d) 4. Evaluation process
The educators of the child care set up should be evaluated to increase the efficiency level
and to provide better quality of service day by day.

they carried out on a weekly basis.
3. Observations – the supervisor observes the staff member at work, noting his/her strengths and
weaknesses, based on certain selected criteria.
4. Checking attendance and punctuality
Monitoring the educators is important to evaluate the service provided by them The
monitoring process should include the following:
1. Observing and assessing children’s progress through observing, listening to and discussing,
and collecting children’s work.
2. Observing and assessing child care providers and other staff against their roles and
responsibilities.
3. Observing and assessing parental involvement in supporting the developmental process of
their children.
Part 2: Enable organisations to meet legal requirements, give direction for effective

Day care teachers incorporate learning opportunities using a child's natural inclination to
play. Therefore, these teachers must create and implement activities and lesson plans that
simultaneously engage and educate children. In addition to teaching, these day care workers
often must provide diverse basic care needs, including supplying proper nutrition, performing
cleaning duties and dealing with behavioural issues. They also are occasionally tasked with
speaking with parents to discuss a child's educational development. Working at a day care is both
mentally and physically demanding, and aspiring day care teachers should be prepared for the
sometimes rigorous requirements of this position.
