INTRODUCTION
Child care can give the positive influence on children's development process. It gives
valuable education and social experiences to children's. Present report will help to know more
about child care services such as it will be explaining action that must be taken by parents or
carer to protect child from harm, abuse or neglect. Theories that influences child development or
strategies to overcome from integrated barriers.

4.1 Describing the action plan or policies procedures to reduce child negligence, abuse and harm
UK considered that child abuse is unacceptable in any circumstances and takes its duty of
care seriously and will aim at all times to provide the safest possible programs to children.
Safeguarding policy
This is the first action should person take when they observed any harmful situation near
the baby. Safeguarding is the first action plan for child protection that relates to the action taken
to promote the welfare of children from harm (Brendtro, 2017). This term also taking procedure
to protect impairment of children health and development. Safeguarding policy or a action plan

helps to promote the welfare of the children and young people in our care. UK defines this term
to protect children from maltreatment (Safeguarding children and young people. 2018). It also
helps to preventing impairment of children health or development.
Child Protection procedures
This is the another action plan taken by an individual or group in order to protest the
child abuse or any violence. Emergency protection order (EPO) is an order from the court that
allows the child to be removed from home if they feel any imminent danger (Havnes and
Mogstad, 2015).
Police powers of protection
This is the another significant action that people could adapt to protect child from
harmful substance. For example: If in hospital people observed that there some issue with child
or from any part they get harm from some things. So that, Police helps and give protection to
child without references to a court only in the emergency situations where a delay in an EPO
may put a child risk. Police can help to take strict action for protecting Nursing babies life.
Strategy discussions and meetings
Nursing staff can also arrange meeting with seniors in order to keep up into the activities
which is going wrong. There are concerns that a child may be at risk of some significance harm.
CSC will talk to partner agencies about the child. CSC can investigate the procedure or plan.

1.5 Explaining the influence theories of play and development on assessment ?
Child development theory are very distinct towards the child grooming process. There are
some theories that helps children to learn or to develop new process theories and goals.
Attachment theory
Attachment theory helps to define the connection between mother and her child.
Additionally, this theory generate by impactful factors of results from parental disputes,
separations etc (Lamb, eds., 2014). The concept behind Attachment theory is starts before birth
of a child when mother attached with child emotionally or mentally. That process of work
attached mother with the child that helps to child developing. This theory of attachment will help
while completing the process of child caring. This theory would help to protect children at the

end of the assessment and also increased the understanding between mother and child. At the end
of the task, there will be shown good signs and positive outcomes.
Cognitive theory
Piaget's (1936) theory of cognitive development explains that how a child constructs a
mental model of the world. Children cognitive theory is the series of stages in which information
from experiences is helpful to understand. It helps to improve children cognitive skills such as
sensori -motor (children age between 24 months) and pre operational (ages 2-6 years) periods.
This theory of child development contributes a simple but ingenious tests to reveal
different cognitive abilities. Piaget thinks that comparatively children are merely less competent
thinkers than adults. According to Piaget children are born with a very basic mental structure on
which all future learning are based. This theory helps to develop the cognitive abilities between
the children. With the help of cognitive theory, at the end of the assessment it would help to re
disclose the positive outcomes and developing skills in between children.
Applied behaviour Analysis
Applied behaviour analysis helps to understood by observing the relationships of
behaviour the environment that helps to understand the observing relationship (Singer, 2017).
this theory helps to understand the feelings of child and how they need to be get care or required
other things as well.
2.4 Describing the roles and responsibilities of all those involved in implementing a plan?
Roles and responsibilities of workers
 Responsibility of staff members is to ensure smooth operation of the day running of the
centre in accordance to the policies and procedures. Which is very necessary while
implementing a child care plan.
 Assist staff to ensure daily activities that help in implementation process while cite the
planned activities.
 Make positive interaction with children that helps to managing with children while
implementing a study.
 Ensure clean and healthy needs for children that helps to ensure better implementing
strategies and goals.
Role of Child safety Officer
 Undertaking the safety precautions while plan has been run

 Applying proper legislations and policies while handling the plan activities.
 Working with collaborating with foster and kinship careers.
Role of Room Manager
 Implementing quality and standards
 Managing the departments ongoing program of quality improvement.
Role of parents
 Parents needs to encourage children self esteem and confidence level
 Parents role is to understand child feelings and pain. That helps to make some more steps
in implementation of plan and goals.
 Parents should also need to tell about their child activities to care taker, it helps to add
some more information while preparing the child care plan.

2.3 Explain how to overcome barriers to integrated working with parents and or carer ?
Successful parenting relationship is very much necessary to ensure child development
process to gain positive developing facts (Vandell, Burchinal and Pierce, 2016). This is crucial in
developing age of children. There are some ways to get over from integrated barriers working
with parents and carer.
Home communications tags : this approach helps to make aware to parent about the all updates
of child. Such as when they feed last, when were the get last medicine and all.
There are so many barriers involved for a child such as assessment risk, this risk involved
in a family, social care staff may fall back on moral judgements. There are so many other
barriers involved such as uncertainty and ignorance. Besides, other barriers are lack of follow up
on new hire paperwork and complaints. In order to come over from this barrier. Child care
instructor needs to adopt effective HR training, cleared stated CP policies in interview.

Parent questionnaires: this must be kept in child's bag for the continence time for parents. It
helps to get over the barrier of parental attitudes and knowledge regarding how to take care of
child.

more about child. This helps to overcome the barrier of time limitations due to which they cannot
give time to their children.
Home learning : make optional home learning needs that helps to create suggestions new ideas.
Adopt the best policies for Hiring effective staff: Policies must be clear and explicit open lines
of communication process.
3.3 Analyse the principles and values that underpin parental and or carer involvement in a child's
learning and development ?
Underpinning Principles
Child centred : Child must be getting all development needs which needed to be
important. Such as parents needs to observe child, helps him to listen etc. children should feel
special (Vandell, Burchinal and Pierce, 2016). Parents or staff members are always needs to give
proper protection to child.
Rooted in child development : Workers or parents should needs to understand child
from depth which is based on child behaviour nature etc. For that, staff members needs to
observe, listen with child to make them comfortable with the environment.
Holistic in Approach : this principle defines that workers must be know about child
family, parents, caregivers. Apart from that, Staff also needs to understand or aware about the
children allergies, their interest or disinterest etc.
Parents play a most crucial role in children developing process. They need to understand
their child needs and feelings to know him better. Create positive environment between parents
and child
EYFS: Early years' foundation stage, typically abbreviated to to EYFS, is a UK
government statutory body framework that sets out welfare and development goals for childre.
They strict action from the behalf of children and take care of needs of them as well. Any
unwanted or illegal activity is not been possible under the act of EYFS.
