1. Four children were observed for the assessment comprising of 3 years old, Taya who
is shy and that acts as the barrier. Khade is a 3-year-old boy having behavioural issue
like hitting and biting, as he is a loner because his parents are going through divorce.

children, encourages interaction between the children, and enhances group discussions
among them 1. For taya, drawing, book reading, rhymes are designed that encourage her
communication skills through verbal communication. This helps to overcome her shyness that
acts as barrier interacting with others. Story telling would also help her to collaborate with
others, create her own ideas, and share her experiences2.
For Khade, interaction is important. Due to lack of communication, he is unable to
interact, as he is a loner and frustrated as his parents are undergoing divorce. Slow paced
activities and games like telephone, identify the object help to enhance communication skills and
divert him from showing aggressive behaviour.
In the same way, physical environment is required for Andrew and Allsys. For them,
modification of the physical environment is important that arranges soccer, yoga and dancing
sessions that help to build their physical development and social skills while interacting with
others. Reading, rhyming and storytelling help to provide a literacy rich environment that
appreciates their home language as well as Standard Australian English when they experiment
with animal and bird picture books, images and puzzles 3.
Language and science are the two learning centres that are required to be evaluated and
monitored for the five days. When the four focused children were engaged in play based learning
and outdoor games, there is language development, communication skill enhancement and
physical and social development. When the children were engaged in storytelling and picture
