Brain develops very fast in utero and an infant born with all required nerve cells that it have
forever. Brain sees rapid growth in its third trimester although after birth all nerve cells
required to perform basic functions like walk, talk and learning must formed in neural
connections (Miller, Huppi, & Mallard, 2016).
Question 2- Provide the six sub-stages of sensorimotor intelligence, infant memory, and
language development.
First stage of cognitive development theory is sensorimotor stage, after than it is divided into
six sub stages as discussed below (Miller, Huppi, & Mallard, 2016);

Question 3- Describe each stage of language development during infancy.
The way or stage that allows a child to express his feelings to others by the expression of
signals or language is the language development stage. Language developed in a child before
birth, a fetus in a mother womb begins hear the speeches and voice coming outside of the
mother’s figure and they are familiar to their mother’s communication (Stern, 2018).
Question 4- Discuss the potential impacts of attachment on child’s psychosocial
development.

Attachment is the initial bond develops in the child and its parent; all scenario of the bond
revolves around the attachment. Attachments are helpful to control the negative emotions and
stressful situation in the childhood and it is the very first stage to build the secure bond of
childhood (Stern, 2018).
Question 5- Define and provide an example of separation anxiety.
Initially it is a natural feeling that children feel insecure and anxious when parent go far from
them this is a normal separation anxiety but it can result in separation anxiety disorder if the
child remain far for a long time from the primary caregiver. SAD facing child behave normal
but face emotional challenges inside with the fear of separation from their beloved.
For example a child suffering from SAD always refuse to go out form the house for any
activity , he feel safe when his beloved are around him (Paulus, Backes, Sander, Weber, &
von Gontard, 2015).
