Introduction
The objective of this report is to identify and recognise importance of different observation
and assessment tolls used in the early child education and development stage by teachers.
Early stage of childhood majorly it is stated from 2 to 5 years, a primary teacher play
significant role to educate and develop a child and these assessment tools helps them to make
the learning funny and easy with great involvement. Two assessment tools selected to discuss
in this report are; Story Telling and Photography Observation assessment tools. Deep analysis
of these tools will include its theoretical basis, ethical implications, and effect over the
learning and development.
Observation or assessment tool
Teaching method in the present time are developing more than sitting an place and
delivering the lectures, many new concepts of learning as mother teachers, story-telling,
pictography and involvement in the play and learn activities are changing the education
scenarios. Based on the psychological concept some assessment tools base educations as fun
because child has no capacity to read but visual arts and involvement help him to understand
and learn the new things. These two selected assessment tools have many significant impacts
over the teachers and students both, because getting in bind is essential for a teacher to
deliver learning’s practices.
Story Telling
It is not a new concept of teaching infect it the most used and oldest source of communication
used by the parents, grandparents to teach a child good morals and ethical practices. This
practice is based on the concepts to create imaginative ideas and develop thinking capacities

in children. In addiction story telling deliver decision making strategies in a child to decide
what was good or bad in the story.

creativity ideas of children by making an outline in their mind, it use many tricks to identify
how the student is learning and in what direction he is getting the learning.
Appropriateness
Story narration and delivering to student with involvement of all essential steps is profitable,
although it has narrow mind development but application of imaginary questions and active
involvement can result better to the listener and teller both.

Storytelling has been around as long as humanity. It is a linking idea among two individual. It
provides sense, framework, and indulgent in a creation that is repeatedly full with anarchy
and chaos. Because of this, teachers must use stories if they expect to range their students.
Every part of a story deliver something good and moral to listener, because teachers includes
good and bad characters and deliver sentence to support good character as important. It
allows listener to think upon what end is suitable this develop their ethical impression in real
life as well.

Identification of the performance techniques to relate it with the plot, use effective facial
expression and volume tone to attract the listeners. Effective body language and actions to
make the child attractive towards the story can help early educators make a bond of effective

As a educational tool, the use of photography is common in early babyhood education.
Teachers have integrated photography in early childhood classrooms to support in recording
education and to donate to the calculation of child growth results, and educator teachers have
also used taking pictures to demonstrate the development to other stakeholders as well.
Pictures and photos are digital source to deliver the education to student y making them to
visualise the things and develop their thinking accordingly (Robin, 2016).

and teachers can evaluate their understanding by defining the pictures.

Children have no ability to learn alphabets but visual representation of alphabets with

According to Friedman, digital cameras and pictures have become important concept in
developing the educational development programs. These digital pictures develop potentiality
to acquire visual literacy, it increases visual, cultural, and technological background in which
pictures, and visual images are a dominant factor in defining basic perceptions such as reality,
identity, time, space, and relationships (Friedman, 2016).
Implication by teachers
Use of attractive pictures and digital photographical in teaching and learning can help
teachers to make effective bonding and connection with the students. Children from 2-5 years
have developing innovative ideas and learning capabilities hence teachers can use pictures to
connect children with their culture, other diversified culture and aspect.
Conclusion
This report is based on analysis of effective assessment tools useful in teaching and early
education development programmes. This report concludes that many assessment tools are
effective as storytelling and digital pictures, to demonstrate the learning to the children.
These sources with effective observation help to make effective contribution of teachers and
parents to develop child learning and development at the early educational development
stage.
