1IS IT REALISTIC TO RAISE THE CHILD IN THE GENDER FREE ENVIRONMENT?
Culture is historically conscious about the gender of the child. It is the decision of the
courageous parents who wants to raise their children without conforming to the unquestionable
norms of the society. According to the scholars, biology does have a lot of influence in
determining the nature of the boy or a girl; however it is not the exclusive factor (YouTube,
2019). On one hand it is giving a message to the world as well as the child that gender is
something to be hidden and making the notion of gender problematic, on the other it is leaving a
message that gender is something “raw” and it has to be there (TIME.com, 2019). Hence, it is
contradictory and dichotomous at the same time (YouTube, 2019). However, it is to be said with
conviction that it is completely realistic to raise the child in a gender free environment because
everything will ultimately depend on the parent’s socialization and every individual starting from
a child to an adult should have the right and choice to accept, not accept and completely reject
the idea of “gender”.
