1. Children and Families and Labour
Child labour is addressed as one of the most heinous crimes by the governments of
various nations worldwide, however simultaneously practised by the citizens of the nation
without any care. Working for the household chores or in the farm is not even considered as
child labour, although it can affect any child immensely in terms of both mental and physical
health. The exploitation of a particular child by working for the household he or she belongs
to can be measured if the work itself jeopardises the health and safety morals of the child
leading to chronic or other types of diseases (Ahmed et al. 2017). If the working conditions
exposes the child to worse experiences that will affect the mental health of the child, it will
exploit the childhood period of the concerned worker.
If the child is involved in family business where he or she needs to take up load of
delivery or clean dishes and perform other laborious tasks, laws need to be made by the
government that will enforce the parents to consider the child’s health as a matter of priority.
The family of the children working as labourers should also provide the basic education to
the child even if they have to work. The family should ask for better wages from the
government in aspect of child labour such that the children can continue with their studies
besides serving for the family and meeting their financial needs.
2. Participation of Children in Labour Decisions: Situation B
The child labour law prohibits the laborious working of any child under hazardous
conditions and ensures their safety at the first place. However, in the given scenario, the law
should not prohibit the Child B to deviate from her decision because the choice made by the
child will go in her favour and ensure a better future scope to her. In the mentioned scenario,
the concerned Child B is talented enough for creativity and is equally intelligent of her age.

3VARIOUS ASPECTS OF CHILD LABOUR
She is not only a great student who loves to read and practise mathematical problems but also
stands first in the class.
However, she is unfortunate enough to belong to a poor family and suffers from
financial crisis. Furthermore, the infrastructure of the school is too worse to provide her with
standard education where she ends up learning nothing. Thus, her decision to travel to her
uncle’s place to learn business is a good way out to change the atmosphere she belongs right
now. Besides learning business, she can earn money that will help her to continue with
education on her own (Nguyen 2017). She might also get help from her uncle regarding her
studying purpose and get admitted to a school for education and continue with business side-
by-side. Thereby, the child law should not prohibit the Child B to move to another city and
start a business.
