INTRODUCTION
Child labour is defined as the exploitation of children through any form of work that deprives
children of their childhood and this makes the loss of their schooling and this process becomes
very harmful for the children physically, mentally, morally and socially.
This report will cover two parts, the first part will cover academics skill reflection that is
necessary to be successful in the university. the reflection will be based on personal experiences
and cause that want to achieve to be successful student. another part of this report has been
discussed the important issue of supply chain management child laboring that is growing day by
day. it has been discussed about what are the issues and also in the end of this report has been
provided recommendation to solve this issue and it can be stopped to involved child laboring in
the supply chain management.
Part A: Academic Skills refection
Academic skills are the skills that are required for the effective student in the organisation
and these skills are also helps me in the future goals. These skills help to develop the competitive
student in the university and help to understand and learn more effectively (Post, Visser, and
Buis, 2017). The academic skills that developed by me at my university are:
Communication skills
I build my communication skills that are required to interact and communicate with the
teachers, staffs, professors, classmates, and friends. To understand the things that are taught in
the university the effective communication skills are to be required. Having the communication
skills I can express my ideas and thoughts effectively in the university and having the written
communication skills helps to write the thoughts or answers efficiently that helps in the
examination.
Time management
The time management skills is necessary to be a efficient student, having this skills helps
to manage the schedules that includes timely in the class, study, actively participate on activities,
completed work on time and can manage the time to spend with the friends. Having a student in
the university part time job is also to be done and to balance between the job and the studies the
time management skills is to be necessary. With the proper execution of work on time helps to be
an efficient student and the employee as well.

Stress management
Stress management skills are to be developed so that I can manage my work without
facing any stress. The stress came with the burden of work and don’t be able to manage it
properly for that stress management skills is necessary. Stress can be managed with the regular
exercise, good nutrition, time management, meditation. I build up my stress management skill
that helps me at my university to work effectively when there is lot of pressure to complete the
work and have a competition in the studies to be the efficient student and score more max in the
examination.
Study skills
Having the best study skills helps to understand and learn the things in a better way
(Hardjati, and Febrianita, 2019). I build up my study skills in a way to understand the way to
read the textbooks, take proper notes, use of the extra books for the proper and the deep learning
of the topics that will help me in the better learning of the topic and get more successful in the
classroom. Having this skill helps to learn the deep learning of the topics and understands it well.
Presentation skills
The presentation skills are required in the university to present myself during the delivery
of the presentation or the particular topic, debate or speech. The effective presentation skill helps
to understand the way to present oneself in the formal presentation. The etiquette, dressing,
postures all are to be learned with the interpersonal skills development.
Interpersonal skills
Interpersonal skills are to be developed so that it helps me at my university to be an
efficient student. The interpersonal skills help me to developed my self confidence, understand
the body language that is appropriate in the university, team work, conflict resolution etc. From
the interpersonal skills development helps me to get success in the university more effectively.
SMART Goals
Improve my written communication skills in the 6 months.
Build up interpersonal skills in the span of 10 months.
Learn to manage the stress with the meditation and the regular exercise in a 3
month (Aryuntini, Astuti, and Yuliana, 2018).
Improve the time management skills in the 2 month.
Learn the presentation skills in the span of 5 month.

Arguments for and against the use of child labour in supply chains
Child labour is defined as the exploitation of children through any form of work that
deprives children of their childhood and this makes the loss of their schooling and this process
becomes very harmful for the children physically, mentally, morally and socially. Child labour is
the most harmful and demotivated process which is followed by the people and making children
work for the benefit of their work to be done (Thévenon and et.al., 2019). Child labour is usually
seen in the factories and places where the children are doing illegal work. The work which these
children do is the downfall for the society and this affects the society on large scale.
In supply chains, the child labour performs at homes, at small workshops this child labour in
which children work at the homes of people. Child labour also work at factories which is the
most widespread factor as the society forces the child labourers to work for them and through
they earn a little more for their living. Child labour practices also affects the economies of scale
and the economy in total as the children are unable to take the basic education instead they are
made to work at the factories and homes of other people. This is the major drawback of the
society against which the fight is being continued until it’s stopped at the greater extent.
Arguments for the use of child labour in supply chain are described as follows –
Not all child work is child labour as it denotes that the children who are working in other
homes or at places, there is the factor which is regarded as being positive for the work
which makes them learn new things and through this they are able to make initiative
towards what they are working for and what they are doing (Dubey and et.al., 2017).
Under the right employment conditions, the children are able to work more independently
and they are able to learn what has been provided to them such as the part – time or
casual work or children assisting the family business. This helps them acknowledging the
part that they are able to make initiatives which are taken by them independently.
Along with this the other argument in favour of child labour is children are able to
manage their work – life balance and how are able to learn on-the-job skills and this
prepares them for being an adult (Croom and et.al., 2018).

Furthermore, the use of child labour in supply helps in getting to work along with the
work and they are comfortably doing to encourage and learn something new each time.
This is the main thing which the child learns and this is the in thing which helps them in
analyzing their key skills and capabilities as to what and how to perform the work.
Thus, these are the arguments which are the main key reason as hwy there should be child labour
practice (Koh and et.al., 2017). This helps them learn various new things and provides them
opportunities which is measured by the scale that they are able to make their own money. This
also helps the children in ensuring that they are able to grab new opportunities of work from the
external environment and this enables them to take advantage of work which is done in the form
of what is known as the most effective way of learning and this helps them recognizing their
strengths effectively.
Arguments against the use of child labour in supply chain are described as follows –
Child labour perpetuates cycle of poverty. This is the main thing which is defined as the
major disadvantage and through this, the children are unable to make their lives better in
terms of acquiring education and keeping themselves engaged in quality based activities
and this increases poverty on large scale (Sodhi and et.al., 2019).
There is high prevalence of child labour in the supply chain which should not be the case.
Hence this is the point which adds in against to the arguments of children working in the
supply chain within any business or at other home.
Due to child labour practice in the supply chain, it devalues the education system and the
children are not able to study or acquire education as their right. This is the major
drawback for them and the society (Abdurakhmanova and et.al., 2019). Therefore, the
child labour practice should be not done and this factor should be eliminated as this will
increase unemployment and the future of the children will be hampered.
Thus, these are the major points which discourages that child labour in supply chain should not
be practiced. This ensures that all the factors are against child labour practice and should not be
practiced for the sake of children being exploited. Because in this process of child labour which
is being practised many children who are lesser in age are exploited and are forced to do the
work either willing or non – willingly (Croom and et.al., 2018). Therefore, this should not be the
system which the society should accept and there should be voice raised against such practices so

that more awareness is generated against such practices in the society and the economy is also
improved by making positive ways for the child’s future effectively and efficiently.
Therefore, both the points for and against the use of child labour in the supply chain helps
in analyzing the condition through which children are going through. This should be the major
concern for the society majorly.
RECOMMENDATION
It is necessary for the government to take some strict action toward the companies who are
promoting child labour and making them forced to work for a long hours. And without having a
proper salary. it is necessary for the government to come up with the new policies and
procedures that can create pressure on the companies too stop making work small child in their
supply chain management. it is necessary for the company should also understand their
responsibility toward the society, they should look for the people who can work are eligible to
work in the supply chain and they should not involve child in this work cause it is not kind of
work that can be done by the child. Companies are forcing them to work for a long hours that is
affecting their health and it stood be stopped and they should look for welfare of the people and
stop making the child work in their supply chain.
CONCLUSION
As per the report has been cover two parts, the first part will cover academics skill reflection that
is necessary to be successful in the university. the reflection will be based on personal
experiences and cause that want to achieve to be successful student. another part of this report
has been discussed the important issue of supply chain management child laboring that is
