used by his parents is harsh and extreme.
As per given study, it has been examined that John and his wife Sarah do not have experienced to

alcohol and Sue suffers from depression. The children are regularly left unattended or
unsupervised. A report has been made by a neighbour that Phoenix often comes to the door
with Hurley asking for food.
According to the given study, It has found that Jake & his Partner sue have two children. But in
case of Jake, he was abuses alcohol and Sue suffer from depression. These kind of situation are
directly affected the mental and physical health of both children. Because it may be affecting a
negative impression where children are regularly left unattended or unsupervised. In personal
experience, if many parents are not completely aware about the children protection. The negative
habits of parents will influence children to do perform unnecessary activities (Forber-Pratt, Wang &

children. On the basis of given study, it also identified that phoenix & Hurley comes to door of his
neighbour and asking for food. This kind of situation has represented the careless of his/her

Imogen (4mths) attends the service 4 days per week. She has been absent for two weeks and
when she returns she presents with severe nappy rash which appears to be untreated.

Tayla has no family support. Tayla tells the educator that Imogen cries a lot and she ‘can’t shut
her up’
a. List the type/s of abuse (physical/emotional/behavioural/etc.) that are evident in this scenario.

disappears. It turn white or dark purple or red blotches. Sometimes, it could be very serious
problem. in that case, it should require to contact with health care provider immediately to rule out
with more serious medical situation or condition. Here are consideration of different factors

family. She is single mother and unemployment. That’s why, It is not difficult to fulfil all essential
requirement for owned and her child. As per analysis, The relation to concern about child and
providing the better support in their care or facilities. Initially, A children should require a proper
care so as needed to enhance or improve the facilities. But this cannot possible without any

financial supports.
Scenario B: Faidh
Faidh (3yrs) was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age 2.5 years. He has limited language;
engages in self-harming behaviour by hitting his head or pulling his hair when upset; he will only eat
certain foods; and he sleeps for only 2-3 hours each night. His mother, Wafa, is struggling to cope as she
has three other children (13mths, 5yrs and 7yrs). Wafa’s husband does not help with Faidh as he says
child care is ‘women’s work’. Wafa’s parents tell her that Faidh should be placed in a children’s home as
he brings shame to the family. Today Faidh presents with purple bruising on his face, back of legs and
wrists. When asked about the bruises, Wafa tells the educator that Faidh hurt himself when jumping off
the bunk bed.
a. List the type/s of abuse (physical/emotional/behavioural/etc.) that are evident in this scenario.
On the basis of given study, it has found that Faidh was diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder.

In given Scenario, The document in relation to concern about child because a faidh suffering from
Autism Spectrum Disorder at age 2.5 years. That’s why, It is mainly focused on their rude
behavioural towards brother or sister. The parents of Faidh was so much stressed because they
are hitting his head pulling hair. There is so much possibilities to harm themselves.

Scenario C: George
George (4yrs, 7mths) is normally a happy, outgoing child. Since returning from three weeks visiting cousins in
NZ, George has been withdrawn and cries easily. When the educator talks to his father about his change in
behaviour he reports that George said he didn’t like being at his cousins because they were mean to him. He
said that he and his wife hadn’t been able to get any further information from George and they were also
concerned about him, particularly as his cousin Matt had a similar change in behaviour after he was abused
by a close friend.
One afternoon educator Ella is sitting with George sharing some books about families. George tells the
educator that in the night time his cousin’s Alex (13 years) and Matt (15years) ‘kept pulling his pyjama
pants down and trying to touch his doodle’ and he didn’t like it. Ella responded: ‘Oh that sounds very
scary George. Did you tell your mum or dad?’
George replies: ‘No ‘cause they said I would get into trouble off their dad for telling fibs.’

Maru: Part I
Maru (4.8yrs) is large for his age – he is tall and carries extra weight. Maru can be quite bossy
with the other children and will use his size to intimidate others. He finds it difficult to share and
if he wants something another child is using he will simply take it without asking.
Maru is one of four children - he has two older brothers (7yrs and 9yrs and a younger sister
(18mths). The family also includes his Samoan parents - father, Lagi, mother, Tali, and Lagi’s two
younger brothers (aged in their early 20’s).
Maru loves to play football with his brothers which often result in bruises of various colours on
his shins and knees. Today educator Dong notices that Maru also has elongated purple bruises
on the back of his legs as well as what looks like finger print bruising on his lower arm.
Dong asks Maru about his bruises. ‘I can see some bruises on the back of your legs and on
your arm Maru. How did you get them?’
Maru replies: ‘My dad hit me with the strap because I was naughty!’
Maru does not appear to be distressed by his punishment. He is very ‘matter of fact’ about it
and does not appear to be fearful of his father. Dong is shocked. Mum and dad appear very
loving and caring. Lagi often helps out on work bees. Dong has seen him with the children and

will be very heavy handed and cause the family unnecessary distress. After all, Dong reasons,
Maru can be very difficult and demanding, maybe Lagi just lost his temper on this one occasion
and it won’t happen again. Dong wonders if he should just have a quiet word with Lagi.
