INTRODUCTION
Transition and occurrence of the significant events helps the company to meet the
suitable requirements of the children's in the care house (Ehrensaft, 2016). Various policies and
procedures are been taken into consideration to get its better understanding.
1.1 Piaget's theory explained the changes in local thinking of children and teenage.
This theory helps to develop the thinking level of children. According to this theory
children proceed through four stages, these stages are based on growth and experiences. This
theory has main aim to guide children with the help of this theory learner interact with their
environment and they integrate new knowledge and information into existing knowledge. This
theory states that children are active learners they can gain knowledge from their environment.
Vygotsky's theory: this theory mainly focuses on the role of culture and social
interactions. According to this theory children can develop their thinking and knowledge through
the communication with adults (Fitzpatrick, Williams and Coyne, 2016). According to this
theory of cognitive development parents should allow the children to play because through the
play they can develop their communication.
1.2 impact of transition and significant evenest of children's life
Basically transition are changes that can affect children and young people's development
in positive and negative manner. Changes can be physically, emotionally, personal, predictable
or unpredictable and can occur for long and short period. Every children will go through the
transition this is because life is full of changes. Some changes motivate the child like birth of
younger sibling etc whereas some transition depressed the child for example, moving away from
home. (Fletcher, Kay-Lambkin and Leigh, 2017). Emotional disaster of children and young
people may cause changes in their behaviour it is because mostly children and young are not able
to share their feelings to other. Parents can see these changes in their children's behaviour, body
language etc. some time children are able to share their feelings through the poems, writing a
story etc.
The transition process may consists of the various changes or the significant events,
which are the factors that can affect the individual children physically, mentally and emotionally,
such as:

Moving from house: the children's may be emotionally attached to their old house. Thus,
when they change the house, they may feel insure and need to cope up with this transition
or change. This changes will help in affecting the various EYFS areas such as
communication or personal behaviour as the child would be reluctant to communicate
with anyone and there may be some drastic changes while undergoing these transitions.
In this case the individual requires to have a stable relationship with others in order to
cope up with the stress caused due to the transition. The parents have to look after the
effective management of the changing of the house and must regularly talk to the child
about it, in order to promote a better emotional growth and well being. Various measures
like playing activities and handling story books to build the easy relationship with child
and comfort them during the changes.
Birth of a sibling: The birth of the younger sibling may give rise to the insecurity among
the young children's in regard to the parental love and the resources. Hence, this factor is
required to be maintained by the parents in a better way. The insecurity that is been
caused must be removed. Also, they must look after the change in the behaviour of the
child to effectively manage the EYFS and have the stable relationship with the child in
order to avoid any sort of conflict or difference. The parents have to see through that the
elder child is ready to accept the younger sibling in the family. Besides this, they can
allow them to play with the siblings to develop a very deep bonding with each other.
Moving through nursery and starting the school: During the starting of the school, the
young children's may face the problem regarding the better communication, living away
from their parents and making new friends. The teachers and the parents must see
through it that the child is able to adopt the new changes that it will be facing at the
school or nursery and sort out any sort of issue by establishing the better and stable
relationship with the children's and helping them in their EYFS. The teachers and parents
must look after that the children's are comfortable adopting the new environment for a
sustainable and good physical, mental and emotional development of childrens.
Divorcing of the parents: The conflicts that arise between the parents and the divorce
will lay a very negative emotional impact on the kids or young children and may lead to
the depression. During such event's, the children's underwent through the various

emotional setbacks. Thus, they may have a change in the behaviour. In order to meet their
emotional requirements at EYFS, the counsellors must try to build a better and stable
relationship with the children's. In such cases, the family and friends or the counsellor's
must ook after the effective handling of the stress among the child, which can impact its
physical mental and emotional health.
Loss of a close one: The children or the young teens may be emotionally attached to
some family member, friends or even pets, making them emotionally broke when they
lose them. The person will be in an emotional trauma due to this. In such conditions, the
family, friends and other close ones should console them and have a better
communication and relationship in order to bring back the emotional stability of the
children's and avoid any negative impact on EYFS of the child. To handle such
conditions, the other family members must console the child and provide them with the
proper emotional support to over come the pain and agony to lose a loved one.
Staying away from home: Staying away from the home, parents and close ones will also
lay a major negative impact on the mentality and emotional well being of the kids or the
young children's. The rise of the loneliness and the insecurity that is been caused due to
staying away from home. These must be handled in order to avoid any impact on the
personal behaviour of the child in his EYFS. The parents or the close ones must be in
regular contact with the child to avoid and overcome the feeling of being alone. Besides
this, the care takers can help in providing an emotional and mental support to the child to
overcome the stress.
Thus, this are the factors which can affect the well being of the child or a young person as
they become emotionally or psychologically insecure and seek for a moral support. Thus, in such
cases or situation, they need a positive relationship with a close one, maybe it is the parents,
teachers, siblings, or friends, who help them to cater and cope up with these changes and support
them to come out from their insecurities and tensions. This will also help them to evolve as a
better person and manage their stress and anxiety.
The various areas of EYFS is as follows:
Communication and language: This is very necessary to understand the needs and
demands of the children's and help them in their better development during EYFS.

Physical, mental and social development: This should be properly considered in EYFS
in order to gain a better share of the various ideas that are been taken into the
consideration for their overall development.
Literacy: The proper education and the literacy must be given to the children's in their
EYFS in order to maintain a better growth and development of the children's.
1.3 importance of stable relationship
Stable and good relationship is very important for the children and young people during
the transition it is because due to changes some times children are not feeling good and they are
not able to share their feelings and problems with their parents. At that time, it is parents
responsibilities to maintain a good and healthy relationship with their children. Strong and
respectful relationship between children and parents lay the foundation of positive changes.
Through the stable relationship parents will be able to understand the issues and problems of
their children and they can be provide more care to their children (Hepburn, Cohen and
Guttmann, 2015). Some time in young age due to sudden changes in the physics children are not
able to share their feelings. At that time some changes occur in their nature and behaviour.
Parents should not avoid that situations they have responsibilities to manage relationship with
them.
1.4 Importance of children development resilience
When children show healthy development in spite of adversity, it is called resilience.
Resilience needs proper care from parents and regular communication as well as children's own
personal resources (O'Connor, A., 2017). It is very important for children development because
resilient children are able to increase their personal skills and can be able to use those skills at the
complex situations. Resilience in children can be developed by providing the support and
material resources. This will help children to manage their emotions, keep track of rules etc.
1.5 policies and procedures related to transition.
As a childcare practitioner, I can opt for the transition process by the communication. The
transition process is very necessary to have a better hold on the operations of the company. This
will help me to understand and explain to the children's about the feeling and the concerns that
are been taken for them (Hepburn, Cohen and Guttmann, 2015). Besides this, I can express my
