addition, well ness is a trend in it that is Japanese concept. It focuses on tech and social policy.
the approach is called as Ikigai that is life long pursuit of finding true purpose, minimising of
spiritual value. Besides that, there are certain principles as well which is followed in well being.
They are eaten healthy like intake of sugar and green food. Another is sleeping enough appro 8-
10 hours to rest body. The principle followed is managing stress in effective way. It led to
keeping stress free mind. With these principles it becomes easy to maintain well being of
children. The main thing that focus on wellness is energy that is given to children. It enables in
boosting their confidence and maintaining their fitness. However, if well being of children is not
proper than it highly affect on their physical and mental health in adult stage. So, the focus is on
how to ensure fitness of children in society and for long term (Fogarty, Woolhouse, and

it allows in maintaining their well being. It has been evaluated that there are several issues which
are occurring in maintaining well being of children. Due to that issues it is difficult to maintain
wellness and also it is affecting on society lifestyle as well. However, there are some sociological
issues as well in it. It is found that main issue which prevail within society is bullying. there are
many children who face this issue. it highly affect on their mental health. In addition, another
issue is rise in cases of divorce. this impact on children mind set and entire family structure.
Usually, in most cases childhood is affected in it as they are not able to live with parents. they
experience a completely new thing in life which impact on their well being (Hindmarsh, 2017).
Moreover, it is stated that another social issue is poverty due to which wellness is affected.
Children are not able to get basic health care facilities that affect on their mental and physical
health. So, these issues are emerging that is highly making negative impact on well being of
them. there is need to take proper measures in it so that wellness of children is ensured. the
measuring well-being is important because all children deserve to be happy with how their lives
are going
It is found that there are various concepts of well being that are applied. the concept depends
on type of group that is taken. However, each concept varies from one another on basis of its
suitability and features. the main purpose of this concept is to evaluate health needs of people
and fulfil it. Also, it is useful in ensuring their well being. basically, main concept is happiness of
person. it state what are emotion and how individual feel in life.
Likewise, in well being of children as well there are various concepts followed. It is defined
as below :
Multifaceted concept of well being – it is also known as subjective model of wellness where all
things such as life satisfaction, is measured. the model is based on happiness. it measures
behaviour of people. there are some components of well being such as
Positive and negative affect - it is based on experience of people in their life. thus, when
emotions are negative with respond to stimuli then it is negative (Koch, Laursen, and Krøyer,
2017).
life satisfaction- this is another component in it as it reflects people ongoing evaluation of their
life. it may be either good or bad. usually, individuals can examine the conditions in their lives,
weigh the importance of these conditions, and then evaluate their lives on a scale ranging from
dissatisfied to satisfied.

domain satisfaction – it refers to person evaluation of particular domain in their life. in this it is
found that people who are happy in their life weight domain at high level than those who are not
happy with it. so, domain satisfaction scores do not simply reflect the component parts of a life
satisfaction judgment, and they can provide unique information about a person’s overall well
being.
thus, this model is highly used in earlier time when there are no criteria in measuring well
being of people. so, there was change in things and then other data was obtained from it. it gave
detailed info about aspect of life of people in particular aspect. on basis of that it was easy find
out whether ones life is going well or not.
Ecological model of well being – this model focus on analysing children family relation,
community and context. It also includes policies formed by government and systems. the model
was developed by Bronfenbrenner (Morrison, Coiro, and Blumenthaf, 2018). He stated that
person development is affected due to its surrounding environment. they are categorised into 5
that are defined as below (Brofenbrenner’s ecological system theory, 2019)
micro system- this is close to a person in which he or she is having a direct contact with. It
includes home, school, family, etc. the persons which are included in it are peers, parents, and
others. It highly impact on well being of children as they are bi directional. it means that reaction
given in this will affect on behaviour of children. hence, it highly influences on well being.
mesosystem- it consists of interactions between the different parts of a person's microsystem.
The mesosystem is where a person's individual microsystems do not function independently, but
are interconnected and assert influence upon one another (Zwi, , Mares and Silove, 2018). These
interactions have an indirect impact on the individual. for instance- parents and teacher are
example of it.
exosystem- in this it is included those persons who are not an active participant but also have an
affect in children well being. the decision are included as well which has to be bear on person in
which there is no participation of it. for example – promotion in job of a parent will impact on
well being of child. it can be analyse that there is no involvement of children in it but still
wellness is affected.
macrosystem- in this there are all those elements presented which is related to culture. this highly
impact on child well being as he is surrounded in it. they include values, ethics, norms etc, which
needs to be followed. the macro system state that how other system will have affect on well

being. so, there is indirect influence on child as there is no direct contact on them (Neilsen-
Hewett, C. and Bussey, 2017).
chronosystem – it is outermost element in it which influence on well being of children. the
elements presented in it are death of loves ones which can impact on children.
this concept is not relevant as it does not include biological factors which are most crucial
in it. so, its influence on well being on children is high as compared to environment factors.
Strategies to enhance well being of children
It is important to improve well being of children. For this it required to make several
improvement in strategies or methods. there are several principles and trends which has occurred
in well being of children. Apart from it, there is need to take more initiative so that wellness of
children is enhanced. There are different strategies and initiative which can be taken in it. Also,
wellness can be promoted in easier way in children. thus, they are as follows :
Social and emotional learning – this is common strategy which is followed in well being of
children. It says that by providing children emotional and social care and learning their well
being is improved. in this parents can how them how to make friends, interact with others, etc. It
will have a long term impact on their behaviour. Moreover, this will enable in enhancing their
skills and academic development as well. the learning environment provided to them must be
supportive (Zarobe, and Bungay, 2017).
Mental health consult- It is an initiative that is taken by considering as priority of children. it will
help in analysing child behaviour and improving it. thus, issues affecting child behaviour can be
identified and solved. With that teachers and families can be given guidance on how to improve
child behaviour. In this mental health consultant can be useful a they will provide suggestion and
strategies for it.
Promoting mental health- This initiative can be take in which mental health among children is
promoted. it will be useful for parents to get info on how children mental health can be
enhanced. besides, what concerns needs to be considered, how to build strong relationship etc. It
will be easy for parents to engage with children and analyse their behaviour. In this way mental
health promotion is done and on basis of it care is given to children (Peters, Handley, and
Perkins, 2019).
thus, these all are certain initiatives and strategy which can be used in enhancing well
being of children. With that it becomes easy to analyse behaviour of them and then accordingly

providing care to them. The factors are identified and eliminated through proper measures. it will
enable in ensuring that individual happiness is maintained and their health needs are fulfilled. the
main purpose of this concept is to evaluate health needs of people and fulfil it. Also, it is useful
in ensuring their well being.

conditions and many other factors. there are many trends which has emerged in well being such
as focus shift from sleep to circadian health, j well ness etc. Also, several principles are followed
in it like eating healthy and green food, sleeping enough and many others. Children are highly
prone to well being as it is initial stage of life. The 2 concepts of well being are Brofenbrenner’s
ecological system theory and Multifaceted concept of well being. it states that there is high
influence on wellness of children due to environment factors. they can be parents, teachers,
peers, etc. who are involved with children well being. Moreover, there are different strategies
and initiatives that can be taken to improve well being of children like Social and emotional
