Answer 1: There are several hygiene activities that need to followed by the child care centre,
managing good hygiene in child care is very significant so that it can prevent cross infection
between different child. Proper hand wash should be there, it is very effective way by which
infection can be reduced, proper maintenance of the child heath care, personal care of the child
and serving good food. They maintain good personal habits such as covering the mouth and nose
when the person is sneezing and coughing and washing the hand when they are touching the
contaminated surface and matter. Hand must be wash before eating the food, after using toilet,
after playing in the playground etc. Use of gloves when they are treating bloody nose and
wounds of child and when they are cleaning blood or body fluid spills. Other than that
environmental hygiene is also must which includes cleanliness and housekeeping of the facilities
and premises such as toilers, classroom, eating area and playground. With that food hygiene is
also must such as proper kitchen facilities, wash hand before eating keeping finger nails clean
and short etc.
Answer 2: It is very significant for the child care organisation to take care of safety measure so
that they can not harm any child. Child's skin and health is very sensitive which need to be
protected properly. If any small harm is made to child that may case huge problems, so
procedure should be taken to protect them. The procedure which is followed by the child care
centre is keep away from the dangerous products and keep that products at safe places where
child can not approach. Do not explore child to the sprays and furnes, do not permit smoking and
consumption of alcohol in child care centre. Display simple warning signs which shows safety.
Carry out daily safety checks so that they hazard can be removed, appropriate play tools for the
child. Regular audits of the building, proper maintenance of the report that are related to hazard.
Keep electrical cards away from the child etc.

from the different hazards. The activities and procedures include proper immunisation to the
staff members and children to take care from infectious disease, proper policies to exclude
animals and sick people, serve proper facilities for hand washing disposing of waste and
cleaning of body. Proper facilities for the infection control such as good personal hygiene, safe
work practices, proper management of toys, play equipment and play clothing. Serve proper

procedure and policies, proper training to the staff in order to use and understand the infection
control procedures. Proper and effective supervision to everyone in order to ensure that all the
people in centre is following all the policies and procedure for infection and hazard control,

Answer 4: there are several foods which need to be given to the children which serve nutrition
and vitamins to them. It is very significant to serve that food which helps them to grow with
proper nutrition. The food which is given to child of age group from 0 to 4 are mother milk,
orange vegetable, grain products, fruit juice etc. the good which is provided to age from 4 to 12
are bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, fruits and vegetables, milk and dairy products etc. There are
several ways by which parents can ensure and prevent from the food poisoning that are proper
storing of food to that temperature which does not spoil the food, checking the food that it is
healthy or not before cooking it, proper cooking techniques with that proper mixture of spices
should be there, keeping the fridge below 5C, keeping the food cold which prevent from food
poisoning and respect manufacturing and expiry dates of packed products.
Answer 5: choice of proper toys for the different age group is very important. It is very great
deal for the child care centre to find the different needs and interest of different child age group
and then select the toys. The toys for 0 to 12 months child are rattles and squeaky toys, teethers,
discovery play mats, musical and chime toys, books with simple pictures of familiar things, non-
breakable mirrors etc. The toys for 1 to 2 years pounding and stacking, floating water, toys to
push and pull, simple toys to pretend, such as cooking tools, blocks – foam, plastic, cloth, or
cardboard etc. Toys for 2 to 6 years balls of various sizes, stuffed animals, simple puzzles, finger
paints, climbing equipment, sand and water toys, large crayons and large sheets of paper, simple
dolls, toys for bathing and feeding dolls, construction sets, wooden blocks, bristle blocks, sports
equipment, sketch pads etc.
Answer 6: There are several indoors as well as outdoor games, these all need to take care so that
child can be prevent from injury and disease while playing. When child are playing outdoor
games they are never leaved alone outside, they are taught that how to play games on street, they
help when the toys of child are roll into street or driveway, check outdoor play area constantly
such as removal of rubbish, tool, lawn equipment, animal feces etc. whenever child play indoor

games, they check that toys are cleaned properly, they teach them how to play with that toys in
proper way, proper supervision by the staff of child care centre. The indoor should be designed
properly so that it have enough space so that child can play safely.
Answer 7: It is very big issue when the child is sick, they need special treatment. The centre first
analyse the cause that why the child have suffering from any sickness, after that they give some
treatment which helps the child to reduce and remove their problem. After that they analyse the
child on regular basis that how the child is getting recovered from the problem and what time it
will take to get recovered. Further, they take of child to prevent them for the further disease by
preventing from several causes. Child care services are also required to inform their state or
territory health authority if a child at the service has a notifiable disease. A notifiable disease is
an infectious disease that must be reported to health authorities if it is contracted by a child
attending child care.
Answer 8: There are several measures that need to be taken care where there is some emergency
problems arises in the child care centre. Different emergency problems that are fire and bomb
threats, these problems need to be taken care so that it do not harm any people in the centre. The
centre have make different signs and boards for the fire exit which guide the person to take exit
when there is some fire of bomb attack arrives. Other than that the centre have providing training
to the staff and other people so that they can take care of the customers from these emergency.
When these problems arises, staff should indicate all the person who are available to the building
so that they can take immediate exit. All the emergency exit should be properly opened.
Answer 9: Adult supervision is a key factor in providing safe environments for
children. Supervision, together with other risk minimisation
strategies, can prevent or reduce the severity of injury to children. Children must be adequately
supervised at
all times that they are being educated and cared for both at the
service and on excursions. The education and care service must
prioritise regular assessment of their supervision practices in order
to increase educator’s awareness of their duty of care and to

continuously improve supervision procedures. When the child is working with the group of
people or enjoying with the group, it is very important for the supervisor to supervise that
children. Supervision ratios can sometimes be difficult to judge because the person try to
supervise at his optimum level. Staff of the centre are supervising them at 100% level.
Answer 10 There are several short outing are organised by the child care centre where child are
taken out in order to have enjoyment and entertainment. From that, they learn different skills as
well as they learn how to take care of themselves. Other than that staff of the centre need to take
care of child so that child are not being harmed by the any hazards which are placed outside.
Generally there are several things in outdoor which have great impact over the heath of child, so
the staff need to train them to how they need to take care from different issues. When child are
playing outside, they need proper supervision from their parents and staff of the centre.
Answer 11: Anaphylaxis is the serious allergic reaction that is rapid in onset and that may cause
death. This may cause due to itchy rash, throat or tongue swelling, shortness of breath, vomiting
or light-headedness, and low blood pressure. The causes of this disease is insect bites and stings,
foods, and medications. The primary treatment of this disease is epinephrine injection into a
muscle, intravenous fluids, and positioning the person. In the world average 2% of people is
facing this disease. Different strategies are being taken by the centre for the Anaphylaxis patient
that are preventing from the different causes and using epinephrine injection.
Answer 12: The administrative includes the different obligation and the duty of he care takers in
the child care centre and their parents in order to keep child away from the different hazards,
chemicals etc. Proper policies and procedures should made by the centre which need to be sticky
followed by the all the people who are related to centre in order to prevent from different heath
problems and disease.The polices is made on the basis of information which is made in the
written format and being signed by the authority of the child generally from their parents. Or in
the case of an emergency should a parent or person named in the enrolment form cannot be
reasonably contacted a medical practitioner will be contacted and either written or verbal
instructions will be followed.
