physical amenities for their children and forget to be available for social and psychological

participation of the child so as to develop self confidence. When parents fail to get involved in
the education of the child, the child is able to learn from what he observes. According to C.
Cooley, people learn by imitation and it is through this process that individuals gain a sense of
identity (Bowman, N., Banks, J. and Westerman, D., 2016. Pp. 335) Parents must therefore show
a good example to their children through a participative learning experience.
