Project 1
Visual art and construction
1. A variety of developmentally proper visual, musical and other sensory stimuli to deliver
children
There are different types of development appropriate visual, musical and other sensory
stimuli which can be provided to children with respect to experience art and beauty. Creativity
draws which is considered in the doing as it helps children in feeling beauty (Taylor and Blaise,
2014). It is not always in the finished product but drawing something different by own assist in
feeling happy. Further, making rhymes also play the significant role in respect to rendering
experiences related to the art and beauty. It is essential to make children feel, hear or do
something new which help in improving their thinking and imagination..
2. Suitable materials that children might use to produce visual art pieces
In order to create visual art pieces, there are many appropriate materials which children
might use like colour, shape and form, pattern, paper, paint brush etc. Through the help of paper
and paint, they can easily draw something new which is moving in their mind (Yilmaz, 2016).
They can represent their thinking in the form of drawing as maybe it is not properly drawn. But it
helps in encouraging them to develop their thinking and try to make it visible. With the use of
colour, they can understand the importance of colour in their life and selection of their favourite
colour which can be done at the time of buying dress of their favourite colour.
3. Answer to the child’s interest in new colours as they spontaneously mix three colours
A child shows interest in colours at the time when it mixes three of the colour is good. It
shows that child is interested in making new colour with the help of other colours which shows
their thinking and creativity. Their interest can be responded through helping them in making
different colours and encouraging them for this practice through appreciating them. Further, their
way of making colour can be presented in front of others which help in making them happy for
their works.
4. An instance of an appealing, inspiring and safe knowledge for individual children
Example for inviting, stimulating and safe experiences for the group of children and
individual children which help in involving them in visual is which can incorporate the use of
natural material. I can provide them clay and book can be provided to children and tell them to
use clay for making different patterns which are inside the book. Further, I can set time for

completing this activity. This will help in involving them in visual art because working with clay
enable children to make their ideas visible in three dimensions. It is important that clay must be
soft so that children can easily use it for creative art..
5. Behaviour and the consequence it might have on the child
If colleague snaps at the child for their small mistake then it shows inappropriate and
aggressive behaviour of colleague toward the children. As it should be avoided at the time of
providing care to children and they must be treated with love and affection. For a simple mistake,
if child is getting beaten or scold then it creates negative image of colleague in their mind.
Further, this can also create fear in children and they may be unable to carry out their work in an
effective manner due to fear.
6 Essential to supply so that children are able to use their own unique ideas
For encouraging children to create a picture of fantasy house in which they would like to
live, it is important to provide them things which can be used for showing their creativity in
respect to show fantasy houses (Cahnmann-Taylor and Siegesmund, 2017). For this purpose, it is
important to provide them appropriate objects such as clay, colours, pencil, paper, cotton buds
etc. Clay can be used for modelling purpose and colour can be used to fill their imagination
drawing with their favourite colours. With the help of all these, it becomes easy for children to
use their own ideas and create something innovative.
7 An example of a discussion that might have with children when inspiring them to talk.
In order to communicate with children for encouraging them to talk about their creations and
their creative work, different communication skill can be used. For keeping children involved in
conversation, a care provider can encourage them to share their fantasy imaginations. Along with
this, care provider can also share own views which motivate children answer why they draw such
type of paintings. Question can be asked from children while appreciating their paintings or other
creativity.

8 Significant to show children masks and other formations.
At the time when children made a mask of the animal which they are learning about, it is
important to display it and their other creations. By doing this, it motivates child itself and
other children to learn more about animals and create their mask (Flood, Heath, and Lapp,
2015). It makes them feel valuable and they think that their creation is liked by others
which motivate them to do it more. Further, it is important to show the importance of
children mask either they are attractive or not.9 Explaining the masks made by a child is
not mainly skilful or attractive
At the time to displaying the mask, if it is not particularly skilful or attractive then care
provider can do some creativity in it with the help of children to make it attractive. Sometimes, it
happens that children are unable to create attractive thing as they want to create but because of
lack of material, they cannot. It is important to display the mask which is not attractive by adding
some features in it. Further, mask can be changed and children should be encouraged to draw a
mask which is easier for them so that it can be displayed.
Dramatic and imaginative play
1. Describing play areas, both indoors and outdoors, which provide children with opportunities
There are some indoor and outdoor play areas which can be provided to children so that
they can enjoy dramatic and imaginative plays. In indoor, the room can be considered where
there are different types of colors which are attached to the moving bodies. There can be indirect
light shadow and cool dark corners (Gude, 2013). Apart from this, the outdoor area can be
hanging the basket with of trailing green plants, angel hair and dried grasses chirping of birds
etc. this all provide opportunities to children for enjoying dramatic plays.
2 Suitable experiences to arouse children’s participation in dramatic and imaginative activities
There is an appropriate experience to stimulate children’s involvement in dramatic and
imaginative activities. Space for construction such block for building and woodwork block
building which can left arrange etc. Further, environment can be arranged into learning centres or
play spaces so that huge area can be made available to children for their collaborative work.
There is lots of space required so that children can set their dramatic play and different types of
imaginative activities. Further, different creative things can be provided to children which they
can use in their plays.

3 An instance of an inviting, inspiring and safe experience for individual children
It is important to nurture on creativity so that in turn, it can support the children. There are
different ways which can be used in respect to motivate creativity (Tickle, 2014). This includes
providing inviting space, being positive, appreciating children work etc. It shows that if children
are continuously appreciated for their work, then it leads to motivate them for carrying out their
imaginative experience. Further, it also helps in thinking more imaginative and implementing it
practically.
4. What should be done when become tired from enquiries requested by children’s
A group of children is engaged in the group-activity firefighting and one of the
children continuously ask questions related to the firefighting in such situation care
provider need to answer the questions. Very less group play situation occurs and at that
time when children ask the continuous question then it shows interest in the plays. It is
important for the care provider to find out what intrigues them and developed the interest
in them. Through responding to their questions, it helps in developing knowledge of
children.
5. Role playing: a significant method to learn
Role playing is an important technique of learning because it helps in naturally making
something else’s. Role play aids in stimulating their social development, imagination, listening
etc. With this method, children can learn different skills and gain knowledge as it helps in
developing understanding of team work (Cheng and Tsai, 2014). To teach children this
technique, class can be prepared in which problem is defined and clear instruction to children can
be given. Further, they can be encouraged through appreciating them for their role.
Music and movement
1. How set up the atmosphere in a way that encourages children’s participation
To set the environment so that children can be encouraged to take participation in the appropriate
music and movement experience. In the room, recorded music can be played so that children can
make some movement in their body on the music. Further, different activities can be set on
music which encourage children to move on music and win the activity as it helps in learning
new things. Apart from this, soft luring tones or the crisp clear sound of the chime bars can be
played for creating different environment.

2 How to formulate strategies to encourage the development of this child’s individual
A five-year-old shows interest in playing piano in the corner, then it is important to formulate
strategies to encourage the development of this child. For this purpose, communicating with
children related to the importance of practicing piano can encourage them (Taylor and Blaise,
2014). Give children something looks forward to after playing pianos such as ice-cream or other
favorite desserts. Let children left free to play it instead of forcing to practice it so that children
can learn through playing. Try to make it routine of their daily activities so that they do not avoid
practicing piano.
4. An example of a situation where a program is designed to respond to children’s interests
Program that can be designed in respect to respond the children interest as they taken
participant in music and movement. For instance, if the children are dancing on the mat and soon
they started clapping or stamping their feet with the rhythm of the music then musical instrument
can be get for the children which can be played along with music (Kraehe and Acuff, 2013).
Apart from this focus can be put on rhythm and assist children in understanding it.
5 Appropriate attitudes and interaction that you should model to encourage children’s input
Appropriate attitudes and interaction which is required for motivating children to in music and
movement experiences. It is important to communicate with children in a positive manner and
tell them importance of music and movement so that understand it use it in an effective manner.
Further children input should be appreciating so that they try to make movement on different
rhythm. Proper interaction need to be done without scolding children so that they can learn new
things and avoid making mistakes
6 Stimulating, developmentally suitable and inclusive music and movement experiences for
children
Movement activities assist in development of the physical development of children that
provide support in fine motor skills such as balancing. Stuffed animal sing and tapping their feet
to the rhythm of nursery rhymes help in their development (Yilmaz, 2016). For 2 to 3 month
child there can be lullabies and songs in the different location at the same time daily’s. Further
placing a musical mobiles above the child with colourful piece which move as a mobile rotate
help in creating the focus point of children and motivate stretching.

7. How you would get musical instrument to take ownership and responsibility for that
instrument
A musical instrument which children might use such as piano and violin is appropriate
instrument. In respect to take ownership and responsibility for this instrument is to make sure
that children use it to play for a particular period of time in a day (Sipe, 2015). Along with this it
is essential to make sure that children first learn under the guidance of care taker so that any
harm do not occur. Further it should not be kept unsafely as it can be broken by children.
8. A method use to evaluate a child’s participation in and reactions to planned
A method which can be used for evaluating the child participation in and reaction to
planned is as follows. If child move its body with music then it show its participation. Along
with this if child make different types of faces on music or try to speak something then it shows
that they are interested in listening music (Cahnmann-Taylor and Siegesmund, 2017). Therefore,
through observing children regularly at the time of playing music it become easy to evaluate
their interest.
9 What teachers use the evaluations for
For the teacher evaluation, it is required to have reference standard and systematic
evaluation criteria for allowing the proper assessment of performance for making it (Flood,
JHeath, and Lapp, 2015). The teacher has some need for feedback and the evaluation procedure
is prepared for meeting those needs. Further to improve teacher evaluation effectiveness it leads
to focus on choosing procedures for the select objectives. For instance, summative and formative
process, internal and external process. However, teacher process is mostly internal to the school
and it has the advantage of giving the ownership of the evaluation process.

objectives along with the purpose. Community service company are composed of people who re
divers in different ways such as age, lifestyle, gender, family structure etcs.
While starting a new community service organization main objective are to provide
effective services to an appropriate and sensitive to age, gender, culture and disability’s. Along
with this to provide quality life to people who suffer from disability or poor people.
There are some professional and ethical standard which company must follow are demonstrated
below:
 To place the integrity of the profession and the interest of clients above the own interest.
 A social worker need to respect the intrinsic worth of the person and to serve professional
relation with them.
 An employee should protect the confidentiality of all the information which is
professionally acquired (Reamer, 2013).
 It is important for employees to treat all the services user equally instead of doing any
type of discrimination.
 It is a responsibility of each worker to report if the find any suspicious people in the
organization or misconduct committed by company employees.
 In the organization their should be a complaints and dispute procedure and occupational
health and safety procedure.
 It is important for employees to follow ethics of duty of care toward the clients.
Apart from this it is important for the community services to focus on employee’s safety and
provide them safe working environment. Employees information should be kept confidential so
that no one can misuse its.
Before constructing and professional development plan it is important to measure the gap for
the position which is essential to determine such as skills and knowledge required for the work
and the standard which is require by the workplace (Cooper and Lesser, 2014). Therefore skills
need to develop in respect to meet these standards

It is important to make sure that employees working within the organization continuously
need to upgrade their skills. This can be done through regularly monitoring employees work and
by taking feedback from them (Kadushin and Harkness, 2014). Through evaluating the work of
employees, it makes easy in identifying their weak skills and further area of development.
Further it is important to continuously upgrade skills of employees so that they can work more
effectively and efficiently. In the organization there are many new technologies and new way of
working implemented for this purpose it is important to upgrade their skills so that they can work
accordingly. Further in respect to identify the developmental needs of employees feedback can
be taken from them regarding their work which help in understanding their development needs.
To encourage employees so that they reflect upon their working practices. Reflecting the
day to day work activities is an important part of continuous improvement for the community
services employees (Rubin and Babbie, 2016). At the time when an employee feel that it knows
everything and it do not need to learn or develop own skills more, chances are their will have
become stale in practices and in own professional development. It is important for employees to
constantly learn or open to different ways of doing things as it help in understanding various
perspective of others of client to who we are workings
Skills and learning needs of employees
There are many employees at the community service organization whom communication
skill is weak and it is important to improve it. To communicate with different types of clients
who are from different culture and their language is different can become one of the barrier in
their work (DuBois and Miley, 2013). Further, time management skills of employees is require
to be improved so that they can manage their all work on time. It is important for workers to
understand the importance of time and work by making a list of important work. Apart from this
employee’s decision-making skill is effective as because they can easily make decision without
getting confused.

At the time of working as a supervisor in a community service organization for sometime
there are different sets of policy of recognizing diversity personal, individual and cultural which
is identified. At present the workforce is comprised of a number of people from different cultural
with the different range of background experience and skills. Along with this, inclusivity policies
are supported by the current workforce and there is less conflict occur. It is because employees
who work their receive cross cultural training which assist them to accept the workforce diversity
and fulfill the diverse needs of the clients to whom they provide care. While working in a
community sector I developed my understanding relate to various aspects that are as follows
The ways in which diversity can impact on work and work relationships
Diversity is the presence of people from a different range of background and with
different traits and culture. Further, there is the difference in physical abilities, religion, ethnic
origin etc. which can be stated some possible contributor of diversity. Diversity can impact the
work in different ways such as communication, adaptability etc. In diversity, people are from
different cultures and their language is different from each other in such a condition then it
becomes tough for employees to understand the language of the different client which can impact
the work. Further miscommunication can also enforce existing stereotypes about minorities.
Apart from this different background people has different views and ideas which can lead to
creating the chance of conflict in the workplace. Therefore, it can be stated that language
problem can become issues and affect the relationship between workers and clients. At the
organization conflict take place within the employees if they do not respect cultural and diversity
or other. Along with this disrespect for different cultural people lead to affect the way of working
and if any type of discrimination done then it leads to impact productivity. Understanding and
respecting each other culture is an important factor with respect to creating strong relationship
between employees and workers. Sometimes it becomes difficult for the staff member to provide
services to different background client as it because their way of getting treatment may be
different. Therefore it can create the barrier in while delivering service to different background
people. The benefits of diversity at workplace
Workforce diversity help in increasing productivity at the workplace and help in gaining
competitive advantages. It is because employees can offer different types of solution to client
because of new ideas and process which are provided by different cultural employees. Along
