ROLE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
The environment of a child is composed of the physical aspects (play
materials and items in the household) and the social aspects (parental
interaction, family size).
These two aspects provide psychological stimulation that is necessary
for the development of cognitive skills.
During the first year of a child’s life, a lot of changes take place in the
development of a child (Landale, Oropesa, Noah, & Hillemeier, 2016).
It is therefore important to provide the appropriate environment.
