INTRODUCTION
Racism is the discrimination which is based on racer and colour of the person and
through this various liabilities are imposed on the person. They have to face various
circumstances and criminal activities to stable their living in this world. This same situation
happens in the case of Murray and Penny. These things happen when Murray is 7 years old and
penny is 10 and their brother Trevor (11) is also facing such issues. The whole study round
around the case of palm Island where this concept is affected and many individuals are facing
such things.
MAIN BODY
Racism – How Does Racism explain what happened?
As matter related to social inequality and social discrimination in relation to caste, sex,
colour, religion. Racism is the major concept which affect the discrimination of person on the
bases of races and colours (Why is Racism a Problem, 2019). As in this concept the
differentiation is made in respect of inferiors and superior and according the crime is committed
by that person. According to various ideology they distinguish racism into various group which
are related to social behaviour and their capability and knowledge to raise in this world. This
concept raise from the 19th century that person are distinguished on the bases of races and
colours (Forrest, Lean and Dunn, 2016). Many laws are imposed to protect the interest of
individual and rights to live freely without any discrimination. Sometimes the racism are based
on the concept of country distinguished as well (Hickey, 2016). As every individual have
fundamental rights in respect of political, social, economics and cultural to live freely and take
advantages which are not against the rule of law.
In case of Murray and Penny they all lived in joint family with their brother and sisters.
They are resided in cairns with their mother and step father. Just to have a proper care of us the
Queensland State children's department sent us to an orphanage which are situated at townsville
and they transferred us by train (Bastos, Harnois, and Paradies, 2018). This separation destroys
their childhood innocence and together which they earn at their childhood days and also love and
care which together is more than their smooth livelihood. Murray remembers some amazing
memoires if their mother when they visited to meet him at their schools which after stopped them
so that their mother attitude didn't affect their life.

As their small member in the family Olive who is just five or six weeks small are foster
by someone. As the news split that he died but after the report says that he is still alive and the
foster parents changes their name. After adopting Olive, Judy was also adopted by the foster
parents. But due to dark colour Murray and Penny are not adopted by anyone in that case they
also sent to Palm Island as that happens with Trevor which is sent in respect of bringing trouble
in orphanage (Jonason, 2015). Palm island is famous for some criminal activity which every
individual have to face while reaching there. Same happens with Murray and Penny there are
treated like a criminal and they are regularly beaten by that head and they have been locked in
the cell for several days.
As Torres Strait Islanders people are the indigenous people and there are significant gaps
in relation to education, heath and population and they prove it distinct from the Aboriginal
people. This is the matter which arises the dispute related to racism (Ruhanen, and Whitford,
2018). To prove their guilt the colours and eyes are the evidence are enough to be distorted from
the others. The racism is the criminal activity and they are punishable under the courts of
Australian. Children faces such cruel activity from the childhood days which results in making
bad memories and lack of trust among the people (Kosny, Santos, and Reid, 2017). As many
people adopts such children which looks fairs and smart but their identity and capability didn't
distinguish their behaviour and nature in society. After facing such cruel behaviour they all
capable to go out from that palace which result in having the mental and physical heath effect.
Murray and Trevor both are under the Psychiatric care and Trevor commit suicide many times
(Lentin, 2016). At the age of doing something for country they are under mental stroma. But this
give strength to them to fulfill their dream which Trevor did to buy first a new home and after
that recover their livelihood and be a successful Australian dream person.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that this type of discrimination such as racism
which is based on colour affects the childhood memories of the children. This present the
thinking of the people and their way to look in society. This type of activity is illegal in the eyes
of law and such person who found to commit such offence are punishable under the courts.
Every individual had the capability to live their life without any discrimination.
