3. To investigate the Support of its own IT companies.
Literature Review
(Kalathil and Boas 2001, Deibert 2003) in there study the writers in the today literature although
use complex technology and so many governments had made norms to control the access but
also the content.
Foerstel (1998) in the study show that all the thing are controlled by the government like
television, radio, press and the fax. The dispersed form of communication is difficult to control.
The government that feels the information is attracted can get that information.
(as cited 10 in Hewitt, 2012), in his study show that Sina Weibo, one of the best SNS in China,
has altered the way of online communication that it becomes more direct and transparent. The
Weibo users can quickly send the messages and images what they see. Through internet
communication, local people can easily debate sensitive issues.
(MacKinnon, 2007) in his study show that The main reason for most internet laws and
regulations is to conquer information, which is regarded as helping to undermine state power,
weaken national unity, and harm national honor and interests
Analysis
If any social networking site wants to successfully operate in China, that website has to follow
all it rules and regulation only then it can run its operation. For example, Bing is one of the
search engines which is successfully working in China with no issues, Google is also working
well in China from 2010. (King, G et al, 2013)

RESEARCH PAPER 6
Conclusions
From this research, we can conclude that many social site networking companies do not follow
the rule and norms of that country that is why they were censored by the censor board
authorities. And Chinese people also have no problem with the blocking of social sites, and they
continue by using the Chinese version of their social site.
The purpose of this research project was to increase a deeper understanding that why Chinese
government censored some international social networking sites (SNS) and in what way ways
rule and norms affect the way SNS systems are used in China.
