Introduction
Most of the chocolates taste same but it is consumers' preferences which makes few
chocolates preferred over the others due to personal reasons. Since inception in 1930,
Snickers became one of the best-selling candy bars, filled with peanuts, nougat, and caramel
and coated with milk chocolate to give consumers the best treats. Invented in 1967, Twix, is
another Mars Limited product which is more like a cookie containing short bead-like product
covered on caramel and chocolate. While both the products company receives earnings due to
qualified purchases made by consumers, this paper hypothesis that snickers are healthier and
tastier which makes it more preferred by consumers as compared to Twix.

While analysing consumers' preferences it is significant to analyze global choices to
determine which chocolate beats others in charts. Looking upon the above figure, it is clear
that snickers beat Twix in the US and UK markets. A survey made by Stockdale (2012) finds

that Snicker is the most popular chocolate in the US with more than 400 million bars sold in
several stores throughout the country. This brings around $424 million in sales for the
company making around 15 million Snickers produce each day. Twix, on the other hand, is
only a few people's choices in America who have come from the UK. It is considered as sixth
popular candy and third most popular in the Mars family. The same survey found that Twix
sold less than 400 million bars and remained eight most popular among consumers. The
difference was seen in the sales figure and popularity which reveals that Snickers
undoubtedly leads the chocolate market and consumers' hearts.
Comparing health factors
When it comes to choosing between health and taste, most people prefer making a
choice that has both the elements in it. It can be assumed that chocolates contain good
antioxidants and minerals besides being wonderfully nostalgic that makes people enjoy a
chocolate treat occasionally as compared to traditional sweets. Even dieticians claim that
intaking healthy chocolate over other sweets can prove a better option. This has made
Abesamis (2019) claim Snickers to be 100% safer. The author argues that Snickers is one
healthiest option in sweets as it contains very less saturated fat i.e. 23% as compared to the
other 10 chocolate brands analysed in the survey. Looking upon the price factor, it seemed
high than the others therefore, if one wants to enjoy a snicker bar, he/she will have to pay a
little higher for it. Twix was ranked second considering saturated fat which is 30% besides 22
grams of sugar in it. Putting succinctly, while making a choice between sweets, people will
consider health matters first and then the price factor which makes most of the people choose
Snickers over the others.

Conclusion
When it comes to chocolate, there is no great reason people will prefer one over the
other but, when it comes to personal and health preferences Snickers seems to dominate the
chocolate industry. After identifying and analyzing data regarding consumers' preference for
chocolates available in the market, this paper found that customers like to buy Snickers the
most among other chocolates due to health and taste factors which show that Snickers is more
preferable than Twix.
