CHOSEN PEOPLE: A CALL
TO PROCLAIM

INTRODUCTION
 Human beings have a responsibility
to obey the commandments of God.
 They are required to indulge in the
kind of actions which are likely to
cause benefit to the society and the
world.
 The Bible itself says “Love thy
Neighbour as Thyself”.
 However, human beings in the
present times are completely ignoring
this and focusing on the attainment of
selfish desires or needs

CALLED TO PROCLAIM
 This sermon is a Call to the Believers to
Proclaim the love of God.
 The Believers are required to do so through the
relationships that they share with others and
also the work that they perform.
 Believers should follow the idea propounded in
Jeremiah 15:16-21 wherein it had been said that
“I will save you from the hands of the wicked
and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel”.
 The actions that they perform or the
relationships that they build are not just limited
to themselves but also affect the world as well.
 Thus, human beings need to follow the
commandments of God and try to spread His
light through them.

RELATIONSHIPS
 The relationships that you establish
should be modelled on the ideas of the
Bible
 It should focus on spreading the Light of
God or His message as Psalm 78 says
“My people, hear my teaching listen to
the words of my mouth”.
 This is likely to help in the creation of a
better world which would be in proximity
to the one actually perceived by God.
 Human beings should try “To know
Christ and to make Him known” within
the different relationships that you have.

WORK
 Bible says “Go into all the world and preach the
gospel to all creation”.
 Through the work that the human beings perform,
they need to improve the condition of the lesser
fortunate people of the world.
 For example, they need to focus on the idea of
Matthew 28:16-20 wherein it is said “teaching them
to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the
age”.
 Furthermore, the work that they perform is going to
form a major part of their lives and thus they need to
model it on the teachings or the preaching of the
Lord.
 More importantly, for the work that the individuals
perform they should try to follow Isaiah 1:17
wherein it is said “Defend the oppressed”.

SERVICE TO GOD AND
SOCIETY
 As per Romans 8:38,39, “neither death
nor life, neither angels nor demons…will
be able to separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
 The actions of the human beings should
be designed to not only serve God but
also the greater society in which they
reside as well.
 For the effective attainment of this end,
the individuals need to follow the idea
propounded in Micah 6:8 wherein it is
said that “To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God”.

CHALLENGES
 A major challenge for the attainment of
this end arises because the services which
the individuals are just limited to the
Christians itself.
 Christ Himself never discriminated His
followers on the basis of their religion,
culture or social background.
 Thus, it becomes important that His
followers also do the same.
 His followers through their work or
relationships should seek to provide
maximum benefit to the maximum
number of people.

CONCLUSION
 Human beings should look to follow
the preaching or the commandments of
God within their work or relationships.
 This is important not only for the
purpose of spreading the light of God
but also for the improvement of the
condition of the lesser fortunate people
as well.
 Human beings need to rise above
cultural, religious or social differences
for the work that they perform or the
relationships that they build.
