Introduction
The Christian 12 Step Organization is a charitable organization and it is a non-profit
organization. Recent studies have shown the fact that they are running the correspondence
programs that would help the poor people in the society a lot. They help all the people to get over
their grief moments in lives and get well from addiction (Christian12step.org, 2020). This would
definitely help them to identify the real reason why those people came to certain point in their
lives. They believe the ill fate of the human beings can be transformed by the grace of God.
God’s universal love and merciful approach will assist these poor and innocent people to get
over all the challenges
Mission Statement
“We exist to give hope in Christ, show love through support, and encourage change through
Bible-based recovery from substance abuse, emotional strongholds, and codependency.”

Organization Structure
The organizational structure of the organization is very important to note. The
organization follows the centralized hierarchical structure and it is one of the most popular
structures in the organizational behavior. The functions of the organizations can be carried out in
the best manner through this structure (Christian12step.org, 2020). The managers and
supervisors can work within a smooth flow of communication as all the information would be
passed on from layer to layer (Marrs, 2014). The groups of employees or teams are formed with
minimal number of members and they are assigned to their supervisors so they can take care of

suffering people and make them go through the healing process through God’s mercy and love
(Schweitzer, 2014)
There are nine board members within the organization including the President, Vice
President, Treasurer and Secretary (Buxton, 2014). There is one Student Services Coordinator in
the organization whose responsibility is to provide important information for the counseling of
the students in various regions (Christian12step.org, 2020). There is one office manager who
looks after all the day to day operations of the company. There is one Director of Programs who
sets all the programs and plans for the future and the only Executive Director approves the plans
or suggests the policies that could be taken further (Hall Jr, 2017).
Decision making process
Decision making practices are indeed very crucial for the overall development of the
organizations. The decision making processes are mainly based on the leadership styles of the
managers. They follow the democratic leadership style because there is no such pressure for
raising profits through their actions (Christian12step.org, 2020). The Executive Director of the
organization will not take all the decisions by his own since he discusses all the matters with his
subordinates. He plans for the day to day programs and thinks about the ways how recovery
coaching programs could be initiated. This depends on the need and he follows his duties very
sincerely too (Buxton, 2014). The Board of Directors are also effective in taking decisions in
various ways. They take all the financial decisions that go up beyond $500 (Christian12step.org,
2020). Apart from that, they think about the ways new staffs can be recruited or changed. They
decide about different policy changes also.

Human Resource practices
The human resource practices are indeed very crucial for the success of the organization.
It must be remembered that this organization is going through the transition period so it will take
time to get the best outcomes. The founder of this organization was Mr. Ray Geisel. He founded
this company 30 years ago. However, the current Executive Director and his wife along with the
Student Services Coordinator joined the organization as staff when the founder had retired
around 17 years ago (Christian12step.org, 2020). This organization provides all sorts of
correctional facilities to suffering poor people across the nation. From 2015 onwards, the
company is in need of one part time and one full time staff who will look after other major
operations of the company. They hired a part time Executive Director of Programs in the year
2015 (Schweitzer, 2014) On the other hand, they went on to recruit one part time staff member
in 2019 to focus more on providing correctional facilities to everyone in their homes.
The annual budget of the company is well under $250,000 (Christian12step.org, 2020).
So, it is quite clear that they are a small not for profit organization. The only problem that is
faced here in this scenario is the fact that employees are not properly compensated for the actions
they commit (Buxton, 2014). These services are very crucial and associate with the lives of
human beings. This is why the company provides them with paid sick leaves and paid vacation
times. The decisions of recruiting employees depend on the approval of the Board of Directors
(Giles, 2017).
Social responsibilities
The social responsibilities are honestly very high for the organization because serve in a
sphere that caters to the correctional facilities of human beings and provides them with best

counseling (Garzon, Lewis Hall & Ripley, 2014). They help all the men and women to stay
healthy and break free from addiction of different sorts. They continue with this effort as they
want to see all the members of community to be happy and achieve success in their lives. As this
is a prison ministry, they encourage all the people in the community to find solace in the name of
God. They inspire all the people to love Jesus and follow all His messages. Their programs have
been quite successful in all the 50 states (Powlison, 2017). When men and women are released
from correctional homes, they will participate in different programs in churches around their
areas.
Conclusion
In the concluding section of the paper, it can be said that Christian 12 Step Organization
has been very much important for the social services. Though they are a nonprofit organization,
they have served the society by helping all men and women to get over from the addiction in
their lives. Through the counseling work, people will be able to live with a better lifestyle. This
is how they will be able to serve the society with their noble intentions of serving affected and
struggling people.
