Executive Summary
There are a number of different religions in the world itself. It is man’s curiosity to
know about the religion which exist in the Earth. It is this curiosity which made me visit the
church to know about the Christian beliefs and the ceremonies, being a Muslim myself.
This report will tell about my experiences in the church itself and the various ways I
found the religion of Christianity differing from that of the religion of Islam itself.

Part – 1
Introduction
We all know that that there are a number of religions in the world itself. However, the
major religions in the world are considered to be that of Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and
Christianity itself. I being from a Muslim family myself, had decided to visit a church for the
first time in my life itself. The Church which I decided to visit is Notre Dame Cathedral
Basilica, which is said to be located in the Ottawa Ontario. As the church is not far from the
place where I live, it was not difficult for me to reach the church itself, which is considered to
be one of the most beautiful churches in the country of Canada itself. This report will talk
about my experiences in understanding a religion which I am not a follower of and also trying
to understanding the values and the ideals that the religion imparts among the followers of the
religion itself.
Discussion
The day that I decided to visit the services at the church is on a Sunday, which is
considered to be a day of the mass. Before visiting the place however, I was apprehensive
about the experiences which I thought I would come across in that place itself. This is
because of the fact that me being form the Musli family itself, had never seen the religious
processions which takes place in the other countries itself. I was afraid whether I would be
allowed entry as I am from a different religion itself. I was also apprehensive about the fact
whether I would like the religious processing which was taking place in the church at that
time. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that not only was I accepted inside the
church with open arms by the people of the church themselves, I was also made a part of the
religious proceedings which was taking place inside the church itself. The service which was
happening inside the church was a typical Sunday for the people of the area.

I was surprised to find out the various ways the religious activities were taking pace
inside the church for the people pf the church itself. There were hymns beings sung and
scriptures being read. Moreover, I found the atmosphere to be pleasant inside the church
itself.
When I think about the basic features of the concepts of Christianity itself, I feel the
divine concepts that the religion of Christianity itself is the fact that it deals with the concepts
of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit itself. These three are also considered to be the
three parts of the divine Godhead. Another divine feature is the belief that the Christians are
of the opinion that there is only one God and the created the heaven and the Earth itself.
These are all the various divine concepts which are associated with the religion of
Christianity itself. I believe that in the religion of Christianity itself, the people perceive the
religiousness of God in three different ways. These are memory, soul, instinct and
intelligence itself. All these factors help the Christians to perceive the divine concepts of
religion itself.
I must say that there is a lot to be learnt from the religion of Christianity as I had
observed from the services itself. First is the fact the belief in one God which is similar to
thatr of Islam. Second, the fact that there is the feeling of peace which radiates in a church
itself, which I also found to be very pleasing itself. These are all the things which I myself
have learnt from the services inside the church itself. There are also things which I learnt
form the religion which could not be learnt by the individuals from the textbooks itself. These
incudes the various ways the religious ceremonies which are being conducted in the church
and the wats in which the Pope and the religious leaders coordinate the various happenings
which takes place inside the Church itself. I feel that all of these lessons could not be learned
from the textbooks itself.

I certainly believe that there were a number of differences which one can find in the
religion of Christianity and Islam itself. The first is the theological and the cultural
differences between the religions itself. Islam believes Isa (Jesus) to be a messenger of God,
unlike Christianity, which believes Jesus to be the Son of God himself. The scriptures and
the way in which the religious ceremonies are conducted is also said to be different between
the tewop religions. In these ways, I can say that the theologies and the cultures of the
religion of Islam and that of Christianity are separate from each other between both the
religions itself. I also had spoken with several of the people who had informed me that they
are regular visitors in the church itself. I asked them the questions regarding their reasons for
believing in Christianity and what are their opinions about other religions itself. I got the
answer that they believe every religion is equal and that there is only one God who looks
after all his followers.
Based on my knowledge of the religion of Christianity itself, I found that these beliefs
are similar to the ones in which I myself believe in. I did not have any personal biases before
coming to the religious institution for the first time itself. This is because I am also a believer
in the existence of one God in the universe itself. That is why, I am of the opinion that the
beliefs which I found to be present in the religion of Christianity is said to be similar to the
beliefs which I have regarding God itself.
Conclusion
Thus, it can be said that I had learned a lot about the beliefs and the practices of
Christianity from my visits to the Church itself.
Part -2
There are a number of similarities and differences between the religions of
Christianity, Judaism and Islam itself. The main similarity between these religions is the fact

that all of these religions have the belief in the presence of one God itself. They are of the
opinion that God is one and he created the Heaven and Earth itself. Similarly, the differences
between the religion is the books or the scriptures they each follow. While Christianity
follows the Bible, Islam follows the Quran and Judaism follows Tanakh which is similar to
The Old Testament itself. All these forms the major similarities and differences between the
religions itself.
It is indeed true that the followers of the religion of Christianity, Islam and Judaism
are said to be the children of Abraham. This can be proved by the concept of the Abrahamic
Relations which is said to be present in all the three religions itself. Moreover, all these
religions have the greatest number of adherents which also proves this fact itself. In the
similar manner, this can also be considered to be false because of the fact that each of these
religions have Gods which are said to be different form each other. While Christianity
follows Jesus Christ, whom they consider to be the Son of God Himself, Islam is the worship
of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad while the religion of Judaism is concerned with the
teachings of Yahweh, who is considered to be the God in the religion itself. Hence, it can be
said that the while some suggest the followers of Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all
children of Abraham, others oppose the opinion themselves.
