Part 2
Proposed Methodology
Research Approach- Research approach is concerned with plan and procedure for research.
This involves steps from broad assumptions to detailed method of Data Collection analysis and
interpretation. There are mainly three types of research approaches that include deduction
induction and abduction research approach (Mohajan, 2018). For the purpose of this research
Abductive research approach will be used. In this research approach known premises are used to
generate a testable conclusion. This involves data collection to explore phenomenon and this
research approach leads to theory generation or modification.
Research Philosophy- Research philosophy is concerned with source and nature and
development of knowledge in research. Research philosophy is also concerned with belief about
the ways in which data about a phenomenon in research should be collected analysed and
used. There are different types of research philosophy in which interpretivism research
philosophy will be used for this research. Interpretivism research philosophy includes size of
sample and undertakes in-depth research. In this nature of research is qualitative.
Document Page
Sampling- For this research stratified sampling will be considered. In this technique of sampling
overall population is firstly divided into subgroups who share similar characteristic. For the
purpose of this research population will be divided on the basis of age and gender (Dźwigoł and
Dźwigoł-Barosz, 2018). Population will include those who attend Christmas market and also
those who are attraction at Christmas market. For selecting attraction simple random sampling
will be used. The reason behind stratified sampling is to ensure that every kind of population can
have participation in research which help in identifying different angles of research. This means
that through this researcher will be able to understand motivation, behaviour and expectations of
people from different age and gender for attending Christmas market. In this 15 people from
population of people who attend Christmas market will be selected and along with this five
people from those who are attraction at Christmas market will be selected for research.
Data collection- Data collection involves primary and secondary sources for collecting data.
Primary sources for data collection include those places from where data has never been
collected earlier. Secondary data collection includes collecting data from books journals and
articles by whom research has been conducted earlier (Basias and Pollalis, 2018). For this
research primary as well as secondary data sources will be used for data collection. Primary data
collection will be done through Interview method. Interview method helps in collecting and an
understanding data in detail.
Research Method- Method of research involves different ways through which research can be
conducted. For this research method for research that will be considered for research includes
Interview. Interview involves detailed conversation about topic for which research is being
conducted with respondent.
Data Analysis- Data analysis is concerned with analysis of data to understand meaning of data
and to draw conclusion and result of research on the basis of data collected. There are several
ways in which data can be collected and for this research data analysis method will be qualitative
analysis. Approach of data analysis includes answering questions like why, what and how
(Dodds and Hess, 2020). This research is qualitative research and this is a approach of data
analysis is also qualitative which leads to in depth understanding of data and also help in drawing
appropriate conclusion for research.

Potential limitations
This research methodology has been developed considering aim and objectives of
research. This methodology helps in achieving goals of research effectively, however there are
certain objectives associated with research methodology and these are-
Time consuming- This is one of the limitation of this research in which Interview is highly time
consuming for research. This means that conducting interview with around 20 people requires
time and efforts for researcher, which increases length and complexity of research.
Attitude of respondents- This is also one of the very important limitation of this research in
which attitude of respondent plays very important role in overall success of research. This means
that when respondents have positive attitude then only they will contribute effectively in research
(Dźwigoł and Dźwigoł-Barosz, 2018). In random sampling everyone in population have equal
probability of becoming respondent and this is why attitude and perception of respondents is
highly unpredictable.
Complicated- This is also a limitation in which qualitative research requires effective and sound
understanding of researcher. This means that in qualitative research data interpretation mainly
depends on understanding of researcher and inaccurate understanding can affect research.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of above discussion it can be concluded that research methodology
developed for research can help in effectively achieving goals and objectives of research. With
help of this research, researcher will be able to identify motivation, behavior and expectations of
people who attend Christmas market and give this information to Christmas market attraction.
