Introduction
This part of the report covers the requirements needed in Assessment 3. The report is created
for showing the evaluation of the interfaces created by a different group of students.
Analyzation of the interfaces is done here on the basis of various principles of Heuristic. The
main purpose of the analyzation is the interfaces are providing the appropriate understanding
for the Principles of the interfaces. It helps the students as well to improve the designs of their
interfaces.

Evaluation of the Interfaces
I. Examining the Interface Design
Cinema Application is the topic on which the evaluation of the interface is being done. The
design of the interface made and provided by the group of students helped the users as well as
customers to communicate easily (Villavicencio, M., & Izquierdo, E. 2016, April). The
examining of the designs of the interfaces that are actually developed by different students is
done and issues are being evaluated. Guiding the students for the correction to be made is
done here.
II. Heuristic Principles used for the Evaluation
Numbers of principles are mentioned in the guidelines to support the examining of the
interface designs. The principles being used for examining are Heuristic Principles that were
given by Jakob Neilson and Rolf Molich in the 90s century whereas the final principles were
introduced in 1994 (Faranello, S. 2012). These principles support and provide a proper
understanding of the creation of appropriate interfaces that could be effective and efficient.
The evaluation is done and the corrections that are provided are purely based on these
principles mentioned.
III. Various issues, as well as Heuristics, are present in the designs of the
Interfaces.
Various standards and the arrangements regarding all the issues that are purely based on the
various mentioned principles of the Heuristic are mentioned in this part (Lorente, J. D. S.
2017). These parts include defining the various locations of issues present in the interface,
their characteristics and various remedies that are required to rectify them.
Document Page
1. Visibility of the System Status
a. Some major issues are -
i. The headings of the Page are absent that is used to specify the Page in
the Page named as “Seat Screen”, “Facilities”.
ii. Proper instructions are not been provided in the screen such as
“Facilities”.
b. Evaluated by Triveni.
c. The issues and problems regarding these screens are that they are not
providing the proper explanation regarding the content and scenario. The user
has to understand the things on its own.
d. The issue is just moderate.
e. Few instructions, as well as the addition of the proper headings, can be
provided in order to make it look effective.
2. Match between the System and the real world
a. Movie time page is hard to access and also the functionality of the Continue
button is not working.
b. Identified by Mounika.
c. Proper instruction would be required in order to use this screen by the User.
The functionality of the button is not mentioned properly.
d. The status of the Problem is major.
e. The functionality must be shown properly and proper links to each of the page
must be provided.
3. Freedom and User Control
a. None of the Screen contains the footers for providing the proper navigations.
b. Identified by Mounika, Triveni, and Shiva.
c. In case if the accessing of the page is done by the user and he/she wants to
move onto the other screen then proper navigations are not provided.
d. This issue is considered to be Major.
e. For solving this issue proper linking of the page must be done.

4. Consistency and Standards
a. A different screen such as Seat Screens is properly found as same and
identical.
b. Identified by Triveni.
c. The pages such as seat screens for various shows at different timings are made
exactly the same and identical. These pages confuse the user.
d. Minor.
e. This fault has to be removed and this can be done combining all of these
Pages. So, this would clear the confusion.
5. Error Prevention
a. None of the Screens contains the proper showing of the pop-up screens in
order to help the user to use it efficiently.
b. Identified by Mounika, Triveni, and Shiva.
c. The issue occurs because of the absence of the alert windows when something
wrong occurs.
d. Problem is considered as Major.
e. Proper alert windows must be shown in order to show the proper use of the
screens.
6. Recognize rather than Recall
a. Various pages for logging in such as using Google+, Facebook, Twitter are
shown separately and repeated actions are made (Khorrami et al., 2017).
b. Identified by Mounika, Triveni, and Shiva.
c. The option for searching as well as various options for logging in identifies the
already performed actions but in order to remove this feature, such actions
would have to be performed again.
d. The issue is Moderate.
e. Properly the various login pages must be used to tell during the time of the
logging in.
7. Aesthetic & Minimalist interface design
a. Pages such as “Movie Screens” provide a lot of information and also the
alignments of the components are not provided properly.
Document Page
b. Identified by Shiva.
c. Unnecessarily a number of information is provided at a single place that
confuses the users and things are not kept clear.
d. Moderate.
e. The issue can be easily removed by making the alignments of the components
properly. The appropriate and useful information must be provided other than
the unnecessary information.
8. Flexible and Efficient Use
a. The Facilities, as well as the Parking screen, lacks here.
b. Identified by Triveni.
c. Both these pages do not contain the scroll bar. This issue is found in these two
pages and creates trouble for the user.
d. The issue is Minor.
e. Using the scrollbar helps in accessing all the information and data.
9. Help the users to recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors
a. In the page such as Login Page, the message for the incorrect passwords or the
username is not displayed.
b. Identified by Shiva.
c. In case of any wrong credentials, no messages are popped up.
d. This Problem is a Major problem.
e. In case of the incorrect credentials, notification for the incorrect credential will
be popped-up.
10. Help and Documentation
a. This Principle is also having not been followed in the login page. No policies
and instructions have been defined in the Mock-ups.
b. Identified by Mounika.
c. Not providing help or the different policies related to the application is not
provided in the Mock-ups.
d. The Problem is Moderate.
e. The required policies must be added to the Mock-up.

IV. Usability Plan for Teams
The plans for the usability purpose must be followed in order to be a successful team. Few of
the steps are mentioned below as:
1. Things on which the initiation of the design depends
a. The proper strategy has to be designed.
b. Tasks must be arranged accordingly.
c. Past problems must be considered.
d. New features are to be understood.
e. The proper blueprint must be designed.
f. Proper timings must be set.
g. Priorities of the functionalities must be set.
2. Considerations while making design
a. Targets must be made.
b. Key values must be understood.
c. The created design must look real.
d. Growth must be checked at regular intervals.
e. Changes done must be evaluated properly.
f. Missing issues by comparing the different designs are checked.
3. Considerations after design are created.
a. Linking must be checked properly.
b. Testing at the initial must be done.
c. Help from the different members is taken to get the proper evaluation.
d. New functions must be implemented properly.

Conclusion
The made report is purely based on the evaluation done. The report is made on Assessment 3
and entire documentation is done and based on the application created on the online ticket
booking for the movies. All the assessment is done in various stages and the whole interfaces
made by the different members are properly examined and evaluated.
