The primary object of this paper is to summarize the case study followed by the discussion
related on the accounted challenges which are faced due to the work outsourcing to India.
Along with describing the challenges it will also discuss about the more effective approaches
in which both India and U.S teams can work together. Hence, it can be stated that the brief
description on the case scenario of Cisco and High Performing Teams, including the above
mentioned aspect will be delivered.

Summary
After thoroughly investigating the case scenario it has been noticed that there is a
significant ups and downs on the business profit of the organization Cisco. As it is mentioned
in the case scenario that the organizational has initiated its journey as worlds one of the
largest technical sector. However, from the year 2000 the organization has faced several
problems related to their business growth which has impacted on their financial profit.
Followed by the year the organization has effectively rescued their financial dropdown by
giving a tough fight to their competitors. While considering the business losses of the
organization it has been noticed that the organizational nature of Cisco was similar to the
wild-west cowboy type culture during the time of their financial downfall. The organizational
culture has been termed as the wild-west cowboy culture because in the conventional
business structure of Cisco it has been noticed that they has followed the master and slave
process they had to strictly follow their top authorities decision. Along with that it has been
also determined that there was a significant lack of leadership skills in the higher authorities
and the lack of communication between the employs present in the organization. Since, the
organization is an international organization there was a significant impact of the work
outsources to India.
Challenges of Outsourcing
While discussing the above mentioned aspect several challenges had been accounted
which are listed below:
From the analysing it has been observed that in order to meet the customer
requirement most of the organizations are outsourcing to India. Followed by this
aspect one of the significant challenges in the outsourcing is to find an appropriate out

sourcing partner as it has been noticed that critically analysing the benefits of the
outsource was quite impossible for Cisco (Nacer et al., 2019).
Followed by the above aspect the limitation related to the uncertainty of the
organizational services holds a significant impact towards the outsourcing to India.
Considering the fact that India is one of the most enthusiastic country while dealing
with product designing thus, it has been noticed that there was a significant problem
related to the product designing and delivering the desired product to the clients
(Bogoviz et al., 2019).
Apart from the above challenges one of major problem is meeting the customer
deadline as due to outsourcing it is very difficult to determine the accurate product
delivery time.
Followed by the above limitations the difference in language preference also holds a
significant impact related to the business growth while considering the situation of
outsourcing (Zakariah, Janom, & Arshad, 2015).
Along with the it has been also determined that the Cisco tech organization has also
faced several problem related to their communication with their stakeholders as it has
been noticed earlier that previously the organization was not well structured, thus the
communication of the higher authorities with its employs as well as its stakeholders
were very poor which has significantly affected the business process of Cisco
(Kakabadse & Kakabadse, 2017).
Last but not the least the impact of the cultural differences also holds a significant
impact while considering business outsourcing to India.
Cisco has been looking for enhancing their products and services in all over the world.
The expansion strategy has been developed by Chambers in order to manage their expansion.
Cisco has always focused in their quality of products and services provided to customers in

the market. Technological advances have been primary aspect for Cisco and they have been
focused on this for a long time. Cisco has been looking for new technologies to enhance their
operations in the market. Cisco has put a new financial incentive system that has encouraged
executives and rank employee for working together. India has a bright future in the
technological development I the market. India has been a developing nation in a rapid pace.
Technological development in the country has been increasing at a rapid pace. Cisco has been
looking or entering not the market of India (Bogoviz et al., 2019). Cisco has been using
technology that sells switches, routers, servers, telephony, digital billboards and data centers.
Cisco has developed tolls like WebEx Connect that are not only used by Cisco employees’
for helping them in collaborating with partners and clients. The business model of Cisco has
demonstrated the size of global e-commerce opportunity has been big for justifying corporate
investment and rolled out to be prioritized based on store revenue in more developed e-
commerce markets.
Digitalization in India has helped various companies to use their technological
background in the market. Big companies including Cisco has looked for entering in the
Indian market (Sandhu, Shamsuzzoha, & Helo, 2018). There are huge variety of services and
products provided by mentioned organization Cisco.
The mentioned company has been developing products in Internet of Things (IoT),
networking, Mobility and Wireless, Security, Cloud Computing and data centre. These
technologies are one of the latest technologies that are helpful for developing nation
including India. There has been huge opportunity for Cisco to develop their market in India.
