Personal Statement

Proper education is essential ingredient for attaining long term success in one's career.
Normally people do not have any idea about what is their area of interest, what should they
pursue in their life, but I think I have basic awareness of the field in which I am going to make
my career. Civil engineering is a subject where studies related to designing and construction is
done. It includes various areas like maintenance of infrastructure, survey regarding quality of
raw material etc. By analysing my past education and current interest, I am very clear in my
mind that I want to make professional career in Civil Engineering.
When an individual start working, he/she get an opportunity to face real world. An
important thing which I learnt from past few years is that if someone is not enjoying their job
then instead of putting more efforts in it, they should try to find own areas of interest. Like of
every individual, I also have few strengths and weaknesses. I am known for keeping myself calm
in tense situation as my experience help me in making correct decision when things does not
work according to me. I have a nature of ''keep experimenting''. Creativity and out of the box
thinking are few essential requirements for a person who want to study Civil engineering.
Demand of civil engineer professionals is continuously increasing in developing nations like
UAE, China, India, etc. I am impatient person but this weakness may assist me when I start
working on any projects which are allotted to me as than I will aggressively execute my thoughts
in developing quality infrastructure.
My past education is a big advantage for me as it will help me in easily understanding
advanced concepts which I will gain at XYZ college. Previous curriculum helped me in
understanding theoretical aspects while working experience assisted me in improving self -
confidence. There is a big difference between theoretical and practical knowledge. I am happy
that I have both as it is essential for getting into a reputed college. My sketching skills, technical
knowhow of construction material and ability to understand client's need was getting sharp when
I was working with the Real estate industry.
XYZ College is known for quality education and their faculties are also highly qualified.
I am a hard working person and I can assure that you will never doubt my passion for civil
engineering. In my view, this education institution is perfect for me because it will not only
support me in getting desired jobs but it will also teach me new things about which I am
completely unaware. Quality of education is a big concern in UK but I know that XYZ college

can analyse my real potential and educate me for better future. I can assure you that I am better
fit for your college and considering my application wouldn't disappoint you in future.
