Classical music concert in Canada-
Name of the classical concert- Komitas: A Canadian tribute
Date of performance- 25th October 2019
Venue- Telus centre for performance and learning, Toronto, Canada
Type of performance- the performances included were of symphony, chamber , Music , opera,
vocal recital, and choral concert. Some of the terrific dance performances were also presented
that enthralled the audience.
Programs- it was the tribute to Canada, which was led by Serouj kradijan that presented the
spectacular performances of Armenian music composers, spectacular dance performances by
Hamazkayin Toronto Dance Ensemble, terrific performances by singers of Elmer Iseler, and
Lynn Isnar. There were some other interesting performances of music that included :
a. Father Komitas- it included Folk songs, Divine Liturgy and serouj Kradjian children song
b. Tigran Mansurian - Piano, cello , Violin, and Agnus Dei For Clarinet
c. Claude Debussy- musical performances in the classical and modern format
The other popular performances was form Amici Chamber Ensemble that included David
Hetherington, Serouj Kradjian, Joaquin Valdepeñas (.Boudreaux & Klein, 2019)
Some of the special guest of the Concert were Russell Braun, young voices Toronto and
Canadian opera company for children.
6. Background on some of the composers-
Tiger Manchurian- he is a 81 year old Armenian composer who graced the presence in Komitas
: A tribute Canada, concert where he gave several orchestral , chamber , and choir performances .
he is leading Armenian artist who is into music and film composure (Cinimagestudio, 2014). He
is best in the classical area of Armenian music who gained is knowledge of music form Romano
Millikan Music school.
Claude Debussy- the performances in the remembrances of Claude Debussy was the French
music Composer born in 1862 with the deep interest in composing music who composed several

great music in his life time that had won the hearts of many around the world. His works have
been of great influence to many artists in his times. The Claude Debussy group performed in the
name of the artist several spectacular performances (Anacleto, 2014).
Komitas- he was the American priest, composer, musicologist, arranger, singer and choirmaster
thus leading to high degree of understanding between them. The performances that were
organized in the name of Father Komitas who was composer were truly spectacular in approach
thus resulting in high degree of remembrance of his works. Most of his works were connected to
divinity where the singers have the revelade that part in the most amazing and inetersting manner
(Sojourner Truth, 2019).
7. Interview of the performers-
The interview of one of the singers of group Elmer Iseler was taken she described the
arrangement for their practice was well organized. They were given proper equipments to
perform and to test their voice so that they become confident with the practice in the best manner
possible. They even praised about the banquet facility where they were given with healthy meals
that included breakfast, dinner and brunch facility, in between they also get various types of
energy drinks so that they fell quite energetic during the practice. One of the challenges that they
faced were convenience facility as cabs used to get a little late at night thus making it
uncomfortable for them sometimes.
The second interview was taken from one of the members of the Hamazkayin Toronto Dance
Ensemble where the dancer experiences that the facilities of practice at the event are great as
they were taken care of in the bets manner. They are also provided with one of the tactful
instructors to teach them some alluring action to gain the applause from the Canadian Audience.
Every facility in the practice is great except sometime they have to face the availability of the
great costume
Subjective impression of the performance- the performances held at the concert were alluring
as there were various singers group who performed in a spectacular manner. The signing of the
Amici ensemble who had David Hetherington, Serouj Kradjian, Joaquin Valdepeñas took away
the hearts of the audience with the rhythm and the lyrics chosen by them for performance. The

dancing ensemble also attracted the high attention from the people as the sceneries and the
attractive dresses used for performance made the audience extremely mesmerized by it.
From the guests, there was young voice Toronto who performed extremely well o various
classical songs that gave the audience the chilling effect and magical energy from it. The Russell
Braun once again won the hearts of its audience by singing the newly released Canadian with the
classical ones evoking high emotions of the audience at the concert. These experiences have
been of great help to understand how actual classical concerts are held.
