Managing the day to day operations of business activities
The term manager has been considered as a job title that has been used in an organization for
denoting an employee who is liable for acting on some of the prescribed roles and
responsibilities for leading the functions, other employees, and departments. The manager is an
authority that is nominated and appointed on a particular level on in the organizational structure.
The individuals who are having a job title of manager have diverse job duties and responsibilities
and the same are described as follows:
On the basis of the survey, it has been defined that the management is the obligation for
the performance of the group of individuals within the business organization.
A manager is also held responsible for monitoring and leading the group of people.
Most of the controlling powers reside in the hands of the managers and hence all the
decisions are taken by them.
Developing a safe and friendly working environment for the subordinates is one of the
integral roles to be played by the managers.
The below mentioned are the four basic functions that involve the basic business practices for
developing the management process:
Planning: Planning means establishing the objectives and goals of the business
organization and making decisions for attaining the same. In The cleaning company, the
planning process is considered as a process of decision making in which the goals and
setting of the course of future actions and establishing alternatives for attaining them is
done. A plan will be aiding the business firm in increasing the effectiveness of overall
process and operations.
Organizing: Organizing is the process of making or developing plans move closer to
realization. Once the manager is done with the establishment of plans the next step of the
manager is to organize the required sources for executing the operations. This process
includes determining the business practices and resources to be assembled and
coordinated.

Leading: One of the most empirical tasks for any of the manager is to lead the
workforce. Skills for stimulating the individuals or the teammates for attaining a specific
task is the process of leading (Luthans and Doh, J2018). The managers of The cleaning
company are required to provide appropriate guidance to the employees for increasing the
effectiveness in productivity.
Controlling: Scrutinizing the progress towards the objectives in the process of
controlling and measuring the performance, comparing with the current performance and
correcting the deviations are the basic roles performed under this concept.
The managers are required to perform all of the above-mentioned management functions with
the best level of efficiency for bringing the desired level of outcomes. The first role is planning
and for which the managers in the cleaning company can conduct the monthly meeting for
developing plans. The second function that is required to be executed by the managers is to
organize the sources that will be used while executing the operations. The management
authorities are required to perform the leading functions effectively so as to ensure the team
efforts are directed in a right direction. The last functions is controlling the operations and the
other business practices so as to make the employees deliver the desired outcomes.
One of the basic criteria through which the managers of the cleaning company will be
consistently delivering exceptional customer service is developing a feedback recognizing
procedure (Pesina and Solonchak, 2014). Under this, the managers will lead and guide the
teammates for prioritizing the queries and problems of customers and solving them ASAP basis.
This will be aiding the managerial authority in delivering the desired services.

The term organizational structure is the typical hierarchical arrangement of the lines of
authorities, obligations and communication process executed within an organization.
Determining how the obligations are assigned coordinated and controlled and also the process of
flow of information between the different levels of an organization is the basic role of
organizational structure. There are various types of organizational structures that can be adopted

considered as one of the most significant components that aids in creating the brand image of the
enterprise. The culture aids in shaping the ways or the methods in which the workforce is
communicating and they remain motivated and loyal towards work. Moreover, the culture

organization is a setup where the individuals indulge together for the attainment of a common
goal (Mgtsystems 2012). According to the Charle’s Handy model, there are four types of culture
followed by the various organizations that are mentioned below:
Power: Under this culture powers and authorities reside under the management hands
and special privileges are also enjoyed only them. The employees do not have freedom of
expression and share their ideas.
Task culture: The team developed an organization for accomplishing tasks and targets
and solving issues are considered as to be following the task culture.
Person culture: The firms in which the workforce considers their value greater than that
of the organization, such organization is following person culture.
Role culture: On the basis of the expertise and specialization roles and obligations are
delegated under the role culture.
On the basis of the research, it has been analyzed that the role culture is the best option that
can be adopted by the cleaning house in London. The business entity has various hierarchical
levels and diverse range of staff working on the different levels (Mgtsystems 2012). And as per
the role culture, the roles and obligations are prescribed as per the expertise and specialization.
For instance, the staff that specializes in maintaining equipment’s will be assigned the role of
handling them.

Communication will enable the managers to motivate the employees by clarifying and
informing the appropriate data (McQuail and Windahl, 2015). An effective communication
