Role and functions of managers with relevant theory
Management is referred as the act in which the main motive of people is to gather for the purpose
of completing the goals and objectives by taking consideration of resources effectively and
efficiently. The major function of management is staffing, leading, directing, organizing and
controlling in which the application of management theory has significant impact over the actual
behaviour. Contingency management approach is a challenge of the universally method of
management (Coccia, 2014). The major reason behind choosing contingency theory for the
company is to elaborate the functions of the manager in the organization to attain the desired
objectives. There is no effective way to manage which can be applicable to all managerial
situations. This approach is dependent on the situations of Clearabee which would be helpful in
giving better outcomes to the company. The major approach of contingency implies a best
balance between management techniques and environmental variables.
Management techniques and principles are considered “then” of management at the time of
environmental variables which considered as “ifs” of management. The major benefit of the
contingency approach for Clearabee Company is that it is a multivariate approach, system

Contingency approach is made on three needs such as individual needs, task needs and group
needs in which the objective of each needs has significant value. Clearabee offers a tool to the
managers in which they are free to make effective groups by changing various variables. With
respect to contingency approach, it has been found that one kind of leadership style is not
referred by this model, but also each leader has right to prosper in the setting of the group. It is
the model that shows various factors in making improvement within the organization in order to

increase efficiency (Chen and Lin, 2008). The company can face challenge of lack of staff as the
work of Clearabee is entirely different from other company for which the company need the staff
that should be perfect in co-operation and ready to do clean specific areas. With the help of
contingency approach, the mangers and leaders of the organization can focus on individual needs
in which they can coach, motivate and direct them to perform in well efficient manner. They can
make group for better communication and conveying message in order to bring change within
company (Johnson,Whittington, Scholes, Angwin and Regnér, 2014). Contingency approach
facilitates top authority of Clearabee to allocate task as per the capability of the employees for
which they divide various section to handle each task step by step so that issue cannot take place
within the organization. Along with that it is helpful in setting the performance standards of the
company for the purpose of bringing change within the company. There are certain benefits of

technology such as mobile and cloud based technology that allowed company to roll out a
worldwide service and stay in control of service delivery. The company incorporated vehicle
telematics that allow company to dispatch trucks on the go which make sure new jobs are owed
to an effective suitable team with less human interaction. Contingency approach helps employees
of the company to fulfil the goals and meet client demands. It has been found that the growth of
the business is relied on the ability to control the behaviour of employees. Contingency approach
is allows employee to make decisions in the context of bringing change within the business. It is

vital for the company to get success that employee should have designated position within the
business on which the company should allocate the tasks (Gelens, Hofmans, Dries and
Pepermans, 2014). The contingency approach permits management to make change within the
roles of employee for the purpose of meeting the requirements of individual as well as group.
The highly made attribute of assignment are liable to increase the opportunities for the company
in order to hire right people for the purpose of completing the goals. The contingency model

leadership style.

There are number of issues that are facing by the company in order to grow in the industry as
there are number of employees within the business who could not grow with the company.
Organizational structure refers as the system which includes the implicit and explicit institutional
rules that explains the roles and responsibilities of the employees which should be controlled and
delegated. It has been discussed that the organizational structure of the company is made
effectively for the purpose of ongoing growth. The major work of the company is on the waste
hierarchy pyramid that covers various services such as recycling, reuse, energy recovery,
prevention and minimization. The customers of the company are more satisfied due to
decentralized organizational structure which is helpful in decreasing the cost an environmental
waste (Drafke and Murtaugh, 2009). There are various organizational structure such as
functional, divisional, matrix and flatarchy in which the motive of performance is different of
each organizational structure. It has been found in the context of Clearance Company that the
company is able to offer same day clearance across the country which can remove waste types.

giving advantages to the customer of choosing whatever they want. Flatarchy is the new
organizational structure for start ups. Matrix is another kind of organizational structure which is
confusing and least used due to lot of complexities in it. Clearabee works on function al
organizational structure by which the company distribute the work as per the qualities of the
employee for which the company has decided the department such as administration, technical
department, operation and cleaning staff.
There are various strategies for waste management in order to clean the location in an effective
manner which is mentioned below:

purpose of analysing the best values of the waste management.
Promotion of the services in order to make people aware about cleaning so that they can
inform in case of seeing waste in their surroundings (Greater Shepparton, 2018).
The company can adopt latest technology in order to elaborate the importance of the waste
management. The major strategy of the company should be targeted on the waste management
education for which the company should target on schools, groups, community and residents.

flow. The role of the vehicle licensing keeps huge importance within the business, but it entails
huge complexities to manage which consume a lot of time to make sure drivers are trained to
handle large trucks. The operational side should be considered by the company until the
company get established in an efficient manner (Chen and Lin, 2008). The company has certain
issues which can be considered as the weaknesses of the company such as limited service line,
use of truck only in removing rubbish and deficiency in marketing strategy. In the context of
increasing the bargaining power of the customer, it is required by the company to keep focus on
the negotiation process of the company so that the customer can attract towards services
(Hossain, Santhanam, Norulaini and Omar, 2011). The suppliers of the company are stronger
which shows the need of the company to spend a lot of time in overall system.
