1REFLECTION ON CLIFTON STRENGTHS FINDER BY GALLUP
This is a reflective report on the test Clifton Strengths Finder by Gallup that was taken by
me. This paper will provide an analysis on my top five signature themes and how these themes
would help me in developing my professional career in future.
Clifton Strengths Finder is a test on the strengths and behaviors of the individual that
helps an individual to assess his knowledge, skills and understanding his talents to achieve
success. The signature themes are the dominant talents in an individual that govern the strengths
of an individual in providing consistent success and near to perfect performance (Asplund et al.,
2007). My top five signature themes were significance, futuristic, individualization, focus and
maximizer. From the test, I learnt that I am a person who wants to be admired for the things that
I achieve in life. I want to stand out in the crowd, want my opinions to be heard by people and be
recognized for the unique qualities that I possess. The significance theme will help me pull
myself upwards and strive to be exceptional among others. Futuristic theme suggested that I am
driven by vision and I am fascinated by the future. I am a dreamer who is energized by
cherishing and conjuring future goals. The theme of individualization suggests that I focus on the
individual qualities in each person. Understanding that each individual is different in their own
way, that each person’s style and motivation is different from others, is important (Rath, 2007). I
am focused, set my priorities right and understand whether a particular course will take me
towards my destination or not and work accordingly. I am a maximizer that believes in
transforming a below average performance into an exceptional performance. I do not bemoan on
the aspects where I lack, instead I capitalize on the skills that I am already blessed with.
I was not surprised by the results because the results were almost correct to what I
believed to be the kind of a person I am. I am a hard worker who wants to be appreciated for the
efforts that I put in. I am a dreamer who believes that goals can be achieved when people

prioritize their goals and maximize their efforts in pursuing them. Even in the group coaching
session with the success coach, I had the same analysis of the strengths given out to me. The
results were appropriate according to my strengths. The signature theme that most resonated with
me was significance and futuristic. Proper appreciation for my effort is what I always strive for
and when the presents proves to be frustrating, I paint a picture of a better future that gives me
hope and positivity (Seligman & Csikszentmihalyi, 2014). Taking this test provided me with a
greater insight as to how it would help me in my professional career. As I have a strong focus on
individualization, this can help me in building teams of people possessing unique talents and
draw the best out of them to achieve goals. My ability to conjure new ideas would help me set
goals and be innovative in the workplace. Thus, this test has highlighted the aspects that would
help me in future to climb that career ladder.
