INTRODUCTION
Business environment and green agenda is the essential to business which impact on
directly their operations and functions (Ferguson, 2015). In order to that, climate change is also
effected on overall business. This study id based on hospitality business in the UK. Report will
explain the two climate changes which effect on business.
MAIN BODY
Two climate changes effect hospitality business
The hospitality industry is the backbone and wide resources of UK economy. It is the
largest and diverse industry. It is the third largest sector which provides the employment. In this
context, there are many environmental issues which are affected on hospitality industry such as
global warming, air pollution and so on (Conca and Dabelko, eds., 2018). These environment
issues directly impact on objectives of hospitality which is consumer feedback and their
satisfaction.
Global Warming: It is the long term emergence in the average temperature of the Earth climate
system. It is an aspect of climate change displayed by measurement of temperature and multiple
effect on the warming. In terms of hospitality industry, there are different sectors such as hotel,
travel and tourism etc. so that global warming affects on all sectors in different manners. In order
to that, there are many consequences of global warming such as melt the ice caps, rise the sea
levels, low lying coastal areas flooded and so on. Due to global warming, rising the sea level
which is growing concern areas for hospitality industry. Due to the big rank, hospitality industry
is contributed to global warming (Mishra and Sharma, 2014). If the climate change constantly, so
that hospitality industry will face expected devastating which is the major contribution to global
warming. In the hotel sector, they evolve and integrated an industry wide and enforceable system
to deal with global warming. Due to global warming, hospitality industry appears to be
dreadfully lacking in proactive initiatives to reduce their contribution. The effect Global
warming are environmental and social changes which is caused by human emission of
greenhouse gases. Therefore, hospitality businesses ensure that high contribution in global
warming by focusing on environment. If the hospitality industry is highly contributed in global
warming, so that its impact positively on growth of UK economy. The government of UK will be

help to reduce green house gas emission through clean growth strategy in the future time. It
involves increasing the value of natural resource and accelerating to shit the low carbon transport
(Ferguson, 2015).
Air Pollution: It refers to presence of chemicals in the air which are normally not present and
lower quality of air. The cause harmful changes to the quality of life. In this context, hospitality
industry includes broad range of services and activities such as lodging, foods and beverages,
convenience centres and so on. The lodging sector involve hotels, resorts and other operational
activities. This sector can realises pollutants into the air and also contribute to health concern in
the people. The toxic air pollutants and ozone-depleting substances that kind of pollutants come
from lodging sector. In this context, lodging sector can contribute in reducing the air pollution in
different ways such as evaluating and improving work practices, decrease emissions, decrease
operating costs and protect employees and health of public (Norton and et.al., 2015). For
reducing the air pollution, hospitality business improving their working practices specially
lodging sector businesses such as utilization of non-toxic products, buying cleaners with lower
toxic air pollutant and volatile organic compounds content and select pump style sprays etc. If
the hospitality industry is contributed in reducing the air pollution, so that it effects positively on
operations and their objectives. The objective of hospitality industry is the improving the
consumer feedback and increasing their satisfaction. The hospitality businesses must have
maintained cleanliness standards in terms of air pollution specially hotel sector which help to
increase customer engagement within the company (Ferguson, 2015). In the food and beverages
sector, businesses are highly made efforts on utilizing the high quality food and drink products
that aid to increase consumer experience and their satisfaction. Therefore, all the businesses are
ensuring that offering the high quality products and services through focusing on health and
safety of consumers.
CONCLUSION
This report has summarised that global warming and air pollution effect on hospitality
business. Global warming involve rise sea level and air pollution involve toxic and ozone
depleting substances that are effected on hospitality industry. Therefore, hospitality businesses
are highly contributed in both elements for growth of economy of UK.

INTRODUCTION
Career planning is the procedure where an individual explores their interest and skills, strategic
planning their career goals and make future work success by designing learning and action plans
to achieve their goals and path (Spurk and et al., 2015). My ideal career is to be a hotel manager
by identifying all the success in today's competitive market. I am selecting this career, because I
know everything about this field and liked this field. For achieving the career, I am developing
the skills and learning as well as knowledge. The essay will explain the external and internal
factors effects that may affect my decision to choose my ideal career as a hotel manager who
handles operations or activities of hotel, motel, resort and lodging-related establishment.
External factors such as digital marketing or media. These are also directly affected on my career
path, goals and development (Neureiter and Traut-Mattausch, 2016). I can highly research on
different technology which helps to develop the learning abilities and knowledge as per their
requirements and needs. Through identifying all factors, I can get only focused on their research
and achievement of career goals and path that is becoming the hotel managers. Internal factor
involve legal department, career progression and salary scale. As per internal factor, career
progression and salary scale also affected my career achievement. For achieving the ideal career,
I am joined small hotels for learning the work and activities which are operated in hotels like
function of front office, food and beverages department, human resource, finance, sales or
marketing and logistics division. I am trying and give the best efforts for understanding all
functions of every department in the hotels. According to that, I will develop and improve the
abilities, skills, competencies, knowledge and capabilities for handling the each and every
functions of all departments within the hotel. As per my skills, I will join the different training
sessions for developing more skills and competencies. This can help to achieve my ideal career.
For that, I will focus on the research and development of skills and knowledge which help to
achieve my ideal career. Utilization of digital market or media such as Facebook, LinkedIn etc
(Poynton, Lapan and Marcotte, 2015). These kinds of media impact positively on my decision to
select ideal career. With the help of it, I am searching different jobs relating to my ideal career. I
am identified various informations relating to hotel manager jobs and hospitality industry. By
utilising the digital media, I am developing my skills, competencies and capabilities which help
