Report
AI Summary
This report provides an overview of climate change, addressing its causes, consequences, and potential impacts, with a specific focus on the United Kingdom. The introduction highlights the growing global concern over climate change and the need for proactive measures to protect the environment and ecosystems. The report delves into the causes of climate change, emphasizing the role of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, and their relationship to human activities such as burning fossil fuels. It also examines the consequences of climate change, including melting ice, rising sea levels, increased temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns, and stronger hurricanes, all of which pose significant threats to the UK. The conclusion emphasizes the urgent need for the UK government to address these concerns and implement effective mitigation strategies. The report includes references to books, journals, and online resources that support the findings.

INTRODUCTION
Climate change is becoming a major concern for all countries. Since past few years
there has been frequent change in climatic condition of globe. Due to that in many nation there
has been a drastic impact on their weather conditions and ecosystem. So, it is necessary for all
nation to take several measures to save environment and protect ecosystem. If measures are not
taken then it will result in creating such a harsh conditions that it will be difficult for human to
live in. similarly, UK government should also focus on impact of climate change and then
appropriate measure to save it. in every region there has been impact of climate change observed
(Jansson. and Hofmockel, 2019)
It has been evaluated that there are several impact of climate change. This can be found that
there will be rise in risk of forest fire, reduce snow in mountains, flash floods, rise in
temperature, etc. however, there are some real examples as well of these impact which has
occurred. The forest fire broke in Amazon and Australia, flash flood in Chin, US, and many
other nation, rise in temperature in France etc.
Causes of Climate Change
Climate change that has become a major societal issue and environmental concern has
several reasons causing it to take place. Some of the reasons for climate changes are as follows-
Greenhouse Gases
This means that greenhouse expansion has caused climate change this means that
warming that result when atmosphere traps heat radiating from earth towards space. This can be
explained that there are certain gases in atmosphere that block heat from escaping. Gases that are
long lived remains semi-permanently in the atmosphere and do not respond physically or
chemically to changes in temperature have been described as forcing climate change. These
gases that contribute and force climate change are H2O water vapour, Nitrous Oxide (N2O),
Carbon dioxide (CO2), and Methane (CH4). These greenhouse gases are causing change in
climate and human activities are significant contributors of these activities (Blaum and et.al.,
2017). This means that burning of fossil fuel such as coal, oil has contributed in increase in
concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide. As per one of the report of Intergovernmental

Panel on Climate Change, concluded that there is more than 95% probability according to which
human activities over past 50 years have warmed the planet. This involves industrial activities on
which modern civilization is based have raised level of carbon dioxide from 280 parts per
million to 414 per million in last 150 years. This report also included that much of the increase in
Earth’s observed temperature have been produced by human through greenhouse gases.
Consequence of climate change
It is stated that there will be major consequences of climate change on UK and entire
globe. They are described as
Melting ice and rising sea level- climate change will led to melt of ice and glaciers in arctic
region. So, due to that there will be rise in sea level. So, as UK is situated near sea level hence
there is increase in risk of flood. The ice is melting due to rise in temperature.
Continuous rise in temperature- there will be frequent rise in overall temperature of globe year
by year. Thus, for UK it will led to increase in extreme weather condition . this will bring more
heat waves for UK.
Shifting rainfall- there will be change in shift in rainfall in UK. It means that in some region
there will be high rainfall whereas in other there will be low. It will continue to occur in UK.
Hurricane will become stronger- the intensity of hurricane and other cyclone will become more
powerful and stronger. so, as UK is near arctic ocean thus it will have to face more strong
hurricane which will adversely impact on their climatic conditions (Seidl and et.al., 2017).
Thus, the combination of these changes will led to major consequences on climate of UK.
It is found that increased heat, drought and insect outbreaks, all linked to climate change, have
increased wildfires. Declining water supplies, reduced agricultural yields, health impacts in cities
due to heat, and flooding and erosion in coastal areas are additional concern. Therefore, UK may
have to face these due to change in climate in future.
CONCLUSION
It can be summarised that climate change has become a concern in present time as its
impact is observed easily. there is need to take some measures by UK government to address
these concerns. However, consequences of it are rise in temperature, melting ice, etc.
