INTRODUCTION
The changes in the earth’s climate have remained unequivocal. In the last 600,000
years, the earth has experienced several cycles of glacial retreats and advance. The modern
climate era was marked by the abrupt end of the ice age in the last 7,000 years (Thompson
2010). This gave room for the age of human civilization. Most climate changes evident today
are associated with small variations in the orbit of the earth thus changing the amount of solar
energy received on the planet. The current trends in the global warming have associated with
the human activities that have proceeded the decades of millennia. Scientific evidence
regarding the climate warming system remains unequivocal. There has emerged a scientific
consensus on the issue of climate change. For instance, 97 percent of the scientists have
acknowledged that the current climate-warming trend is because of the human activities
(Thompson 2010). Many scientific organizations and scholars have endorsed this position.
Nonetheless, this issue of climate change has attracted the attention of many scholars who
have invested in unraveling and disseminating relevant information regarding the trend. This
annotated bibliography has focused on the research topic and findings of different scholars
across the continent.

In this article, the journalists have identified the efforts the Mexican government has made
regarding climate change. The authors have identified the Fourth National Communication to
the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The authors have further introduced the

Economics of Climate Change in Mexico and the Fourth National Report to the Convention
on Biological Diversity to the situation and step Mexico has taken towards the climate
change. The three documents address the aspects of climate change. The Mexican
government highlights the climate change policies related to the impact of the climate
change. According to these documents, Estrada, Martinez-Lopez, Conde, and Gay-Garcia,
have highlighted the mitigation strategies that the country can use to build a national position.
Through these documents, Mexico has the potential of achieving the post-Kyoto international
agreement.

Critique

methodology that countries can use in addressing the climate change situation. Without a
doubt, this article provides the best models that many countries can use to manage their
situation. However, some of the information provided are region-specific thus becomes
irrelevant to other countries. The findings are biased because they favor mitigations that can

including suffering, adaptation, and mitigation. This makes the current global warming
unusual, especially when the scientists use the millennial perspective. Thompson has used the
results based on over 35 years’ study. The ice-core recovered by the research team has
determined the environmental and climatic variations from low latitude high-elevation ice
and the Polar Regions from different countries. The environmentalists are worried about the

glaciers. The increasing warming of the ecosystem has become unusual thus forms the basis
of research. Thompson’s findings are in tandem with other studies, which indicate that the
society is doing the least to address the increasing carbon emission and global warming
issues. This article has insignificant biases. However, the skewed analysis of the global
climatic and environmental changes has benefit to the research. It information provided are
relevant to this study because the authors have given evidence of climate change.

The findings are generalizable because the effect of climate change is widespread. Thompson

points addressed by the researchers. Indisputably, it has offered relevant information by
defining climate change. The scholars have affirmed their position by depending on various
studies to understand the underlying psychology and temperature abnormalities to making a
judgment. However, the scholars have experience lack of sufficient information to understand
and analyze the trends of climate change.
The research presents the positive side of the efforts involved in eliminating climate change.
In fact, the scholars have failed to provide the positive aspects of this topic. Nonetheless, it
has offered the generalized findings. The study sample used by these authors is few because
they have conducted their research based on five studies. With the study across the five
studies, the evidence justifies the information regarding climate change and global warming.
The world is becoming hotter and warmer today than usual. Therefore, this article has fit the
research topic.

risks. The author has relied on various academic exercises to enhance the creation of policies
for the locations susceptible to this menace. The climate change impact needs redress and
mitigation because the humanitarian society is at risk. The author recommends target
adaptation assistance to mitigate the humanitarian conflicts associated with climate change.
Based on the hotspot s mapping efforts, it is possible to overcome the issues affecting nearly
every sector of the society including water resources, humanitarian conflict, crisis, food
security, and vulnerable population. The resolution to address the situation would benefit the
society and improve agriculture.
The author has used timely assessment to identify the current hotspots. In fact, De Sherbinin
has used strategic analysis approach which involved the identifying the strengths and
weaknesses to improve future efforts. The study combines a low adaptive capacity and high

the mapping of the climate change hotspots has proliferated. This implies that some regions
have become vulnerable to the climate impacts thus expose the ecosystem to risks. The

The researcher has relied on other studies to justify the significance of his research. It meets
the expectations and research questions because of the compelling evidence regarding the
climate change. De Sherbinin has reviewed and compared his findings with other scholars
thus making the article relevant. This research has provided important information regarding
the hotspots of climate change through mapping. The regions experiencing high
industrialization and commercial activities seem to increase the CO2 emission leading to
global warming. The article is biased because the author has failed to highlight the positive
aspects of the global warming. The information provided in this article are valuable to the
study because De Sherbinin has identified the hotspot mapping to justify the existence of

review has identified climate change hotspots as explained by De Sherbinin (2014). Zaval et
al. (2014) have also predicted a worse situation in the future given the increasing warm days
thus justifying the global warming. Thompson (2010) also highlighted the evidence and
options regarding climate change. The evidence is in tandem with the arguments of De
Sherbinin (2014), who identified the hotspots mapping to encourage caution. Estrada et al.
(2012) have provided the documentation and records regarding the new national climate
change as evident in Mexico. Estrada et al. (2012) have shown the picture of regional climate
scenarios to demonstrate the threat of climate change.
This is a demonstration that the increasing surface temperature is compelling evidence
showing the uncertain future regarding the climate change. All the scholars seem to agree that
climate system shows that something unusual is happening to the climate thus justifying the
level of warming. For instance, the Arctic sea ice has declined and the surface of the earth
continues to warm. The atmosphere beyond the troposphere is incomparable while the
stratosphere is cooling systematically (De Sherbinin 2014). Therefore, the fabricated global
warming is soon consuming the society through the burning of the fossil fuels.
CONCLUSION
The annotated bibliography highlights the findings of different scholars regarding
climate change. This study has reviewed the findings based on the definition of climate
change. The evidence for this situation is compelling that the society needs to make efforts to
