This annotated bibliography examines the economic impact of climate change on Canada. The study will then conduct a detailed literature review, focusing on articles published after 2010, and subdividing the topic into specific themes, such as the total effect of climatic change on economic activities. The methodology section will describe the sources of data, such as GDP, and introduce the method of analysis. The results section will present the findings, followed by an analysis and discussion that statistically analyzes the results, comparing them with previous studies. Finally, the study will conclude with a summary of the findings and recommendations for policy adjustments. The research is motivated by the increasing concern over climate change and its potential threat to economic progress, particularly in sectors like forestry, and the author's interest in advocating for a low-carbon economy.

This study analyses the impact of climatic change on average life satisfaction in 79 different
countries using data acquired from World values survey. The research describes climate in terms
of ‘degrees-months’ computed as cumulated monthly deviation from a temperature set point of
18.3oC. The findings of the study reveal that lesser levels of life satisfaction characterize nations
that have greater number of degree-months. A variety of model models the findings. This study
will contribute to the current research by reflecting a case of a specific aspect of climatic change
to the economic characteristics of nations. This will help in understanding how emissions
influence economic growth.

This study uses an integrated assessment model encompassing a climatic module and economic
module to assess the impacts of climatic change on the economy. The impacts investigated
include; rise of sea levels, availability of water, tourism, human health, variation in agricultural
produce, and energy demand. Using two scenarios, a comparison is made. The findings of the
study reveal that economic variables such as real GDP are greatly affected by climatic change,
particularly in developing countries in the long run. This study will be relevant to the current
study because it avails the combined effects of climatic change to economic growth. It will be
particularly helpful in formulating the model used in assessing the impact of climatic change on
the Canadian economy.

This study reviews economic effect of climate change its associated policy implications. The
study provides a current estimate of the likely effect of various aspects of climatic change on
both human welfare and economy in the 21st century. The literature reviewed is found to indicate
that the effects of climatic change could as well be positive in the short run; however, in the long
run, the negative impacts dominate the negative ones. The study indicates that the effects will be
farfetched in poorer countries before proceeding analyzing specific effects of various aspects of
climatic change. This study will be useful in the current research as it will aid in obtaining
information in quantifying the economic effects of climatic change.

According to environmentalists and economic geographers, there are more frequent severe
variations in storm winds, weather, tornadoes, abnormally high and low temperatures, and
hurricanes. According to experts, these changes that are attributed to global climatic change
directly influence economic performance of Canada as a nation.

This study will revolve around economic geography and climatic change. The potential effects of
climatic change on structural variations that influence the financial system and economy will be
investigated in the context of scientific estimates. The critical variable under investigation will be
the physical impact of global warming on the Canadian macroeconomy. The key variable will be
annual gross domestic product (GDP) per capita and comprehensive warming-related measures.
Reasons for the Choice of the topic
Climatic change is a daily concern in contemporary society. It looms as a potential threat to both
financial welfare and economic progress. Various traditional economic practices in Canada, such
as forestry, are likely to be significantly influenced by continued climatic change. Understanding
how climatic change affects financial and macroeconomic systems is of particular interest to me
because of my key interest in advocating for a low carbon-carbon economy and green-banking.
