Introduction:
The impact of climate change is observed to be pretty significant on the social and
business context of the world. The urgency shown by majority of the governmental agencies
and the business organizations in the effective management of the environmental
sustainability clearly reflects their understanding of the detrimental impact of the climate
changes. According to the comments of Baland, Bardhan and Bowles (2018), majority of the
modern companies operating in the modern world of business are observed to put strong
emphasis on the effective management of the environmental sustainability which is evident
with the urge shown by them in complying with the environmental legislations framed by the
government of their host nations. The concern over the changes in the climate is pretty
prominent amongst the scientists and environmentalists. A group of Spanish scientists of
NASA claimed that the climate change is having visible impact on the environment and that
is prominent with the shrinking of the glaciers along with the rise of the temperature (Jackson
2020). As per the comments of Edenhofer (2015), the detrimental impact of the climate
change will continue to affect the environmental sustainability of the world in the form of
loss of ice, increasing the intensity of the heat waves along with the acceleration of the sea
level. The study discusses the causes and impact of the climate change from international
point of view. Along with that, the study discusses regarding a current ecological solution
that have the capability to limit the detrimental impact of the climate challenge in a
professional manner. Along with that, the study discusses regarding the impact of the solution
on the economy and society.
Climate change:
With a precise consideration towards the concept of the climate change, it is
understandable that the environment or the atmospheric configuration of world is associated

with frequent changes in recent years. The consequences of the climate change is also getting
intense with each passing day and the increasing rate of changes in the climate is one of the
main reason for the same. According to the comments of Baland, Bardhan and Bowles
(2018), the concept of climate includes various parameters starting from the rain,
temperature, wind to snow. Baland, Bardhan and Bowles (2018) further added that each and
every place in this world is associated with a particular rate of these parameters, however, the
rate of these parameters are observed to change and that is regarded as the climate change. As
per the comments of Urry (2015), the climate change is forcing people to change their
practices for the efficient management of the changes in the environment. Along with that,
Edenhofer (2015) claimed that the changes in climate clearly reflects the environmental
degradation which reduces the sustainability of the environment. The climate change is
observed to be dependent on various factors which includes natural factors and man -made
factors as well. As per the evaluation of Bulkeley and Newell (2015), the factors related to
the activities of mankind are observed to be the major concerns for the environmentalists and
governmental agencies responsible for the professional management of the environment.
Causes of Climate Change:
According to Urry (2015), one of the prime reason of climate change is the variation
in the sun’s energy reaching out to the earth’s surface. As the temperature is one of the
important parameter of the climate, the changes in the temperature certainly signifies the
change in the climate. In addition to this, the temperature rating of earth is completely
dependent on the temperature entering and leaving the planet’s system. Hence, it is
understandable that the rate of the incoming energy from Sun to Earth is the main element
that increases their warmth of it. Hence the changes in the incoming of the energy from Sun
is one of the main reason responsible for the climate change. According to the esteemed

Salman (2017), one of the main reason of the changes in the temperature is the incapability of
Earth in reflecting the required share of the energy. As the energy gets reflected through the
atmospheric layers, the role of these atmospheric levels in letting the energy pass, is pretty

dynamics of thee atmospheric levels is a major point of concern in achieving appropriate
reflection of the energy from the surface or system of Earth. In addition to this, Zehr (2016)
stated that the expansion of these layers due to the inclusion of impurities has the potential to
block the reflection of energy.
As the energy is to be reflected through the layers, it becomes difficult when the
existence of the pollutant substances are significant in these layers. Heck, Farrauto and Gulati

contributing to the phenomenon is known as greenhouse gases. Hence it is understandable
that the existence of the greenhouse gases plays a significant role in increasing the
temperature. Hence, it becomes important to identify the gases that contribute to the
greenhouse phenomenon. As per the comments of Freije, Hussain and Salman (2017), the
carbon dioxide might be a considerably minor component of the atmosphere, however, it
blocks a great share of energy and r- radiates it to the surface of earth. The human activities
such as the deforestation or burning of the fossil fuels are the main causes that contribute to
the development of the carbon dioxide. Along with that, methane is also considered as one of
the prime constituent of greenhouse phenomenon. The development of the hydrocarbon gas is
observed to be dependent on natural activities and human activities such as the agriculture of
the wastes in the landfills.
Apart from this, the existence of the water vapour in the atmospheric level is seen to
have the potential of blocking the fluent reflection of the heat to the space. Having said that,
Blasing (2016) claimed that the water vapours act as an important feedback mechanism for
the greenhouse effect. On the other hand, Freije, Hussain and Salman (2017) claimed that the
nitrous oxide is one of the most powerful greenhouse gases which limits the reflection of the

With a precise understanding of the causes of the climate change, it is evident that the
continuation of the same will have a tremendous negative impact on the planet earth and the
entire solar system. As per the opinion of Classen et al. (2015), the detrimental impact of the
climate change has the potential to introduce considerable amount of detrimental changes in
the ecosystem. The changes in the ecosystem are expected to introduce considerable amount
of variation in the human activities and the desired sustainability is expected to get disturbed.
Other than this, one of the main concern for the environmentalists with such significant
climate change is the desertification. As mentioned earlier, the consequences of the climate
change will be the increment in the temperature, changes in the rate of rain. As the
greenhouse effect increases the temperature of Earth and at the same time it is expected to
change ate off rain in the majority of the regions, it will certainly limit the scope of the
greenery and that will lead earth towards an increased desertification.
In addition to this, Bakun et al. (2015) claimed that the increasing changes in the
climate plays a substantial role in melting the ice of poles. The melting of the ice of poles
increases the water level of sea and that in many of the cases, is a significant concern for the
local and national governments in maintaining the security of their citizens. The rise in the
sea level has the potential of causing flood which threatens the security of the general people
and at the same time, the flood affects the agriculture in majority of the regions in a
detrimental manner. As a result of the climate change, the earth is expected to face the threat
of extreme weather phenomenon. The occurrence of the storms or the natural calamity has

Considering the intensity of the issue, it becomes important to identify a suitable
solutions for the management of the detrimental impact of the climate change. The proposed
solution will be the usage of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as the fuel for the vehicles
used for the purpose of transportation (Haryanto 2018). The usage of the traditional fuels in
the vehicles create a noteworthy amount of greenhouse gases and gives rise to the greenhouse
effect and on the other hand, the usage of the CNG will be significant in reducing the creation
of greenhouse gases. Hence, the usage of the CNG gas in the transportation vehicles will be
important for the maintenance of the environmental sustainability. Considering the potential
impact of CNG on the society, it is visible that it will improve the environmental
sustainability of Earth and at the same time, it will help the people in having a better future.
Other than this, the utilization of the CNG is observed to be pretty significant as it is
considered to be an economical replacement of the traditional fuel (Haryanto 2018). Hence, it
can be purchased easily which certainly increases the attractiveness and the scope of
application of the same.

On a concluding note, it can be said that the climate change is a major menace for the
modern citizens as it has the potential to contribute to the decline of their health condition.
While some natural activities, majority of the reasons that lead to the change in climate are
due to the human activities. Several scientists are observed to consider the greenhouse effect
phenomenon as the main reason responsible for the climate change. Considering the
ecological solution, the transportation companies are required to utilize the Compressed
Natural Gas in place of the traditional fuel as that will certainly limit the scope of the
emission of the vehicles contributing to the formation of the greenhouse gases.
