It has been analyzed that climate change affects the health of the individuals and also it is
bringing change in the human activities. One of the major concerns in the United State is related
with the global warming. According to the American government climate change program “the
continuous heat waves and also downpours has enhanced the health issues of the people who are
living in USA. Due to this the Individuals living the USA society has to face the health such as
Asthma. The rate of Asthma is increasing every year and also due to this more than half of the
individuals (53%) are suffering from the asthma attack in 2008. There are more than 57% of
children and 51% of the adults who had an attack. The cost of asthma faced by the people is
more than $3,300 per individual in relation to the entire medical expenses (Coutts and Hahn,
2015).
Due to the change in the environment, one of the major health issue faced by the people relates
to the Heart disease. It is considered as one of the major that takes place due to the rise in the
global warming. The risk of heart disease in USA has been enhanced and it is estimated that
approximately in every 43 seconds people are facing the risk of heart disease. Obesity is the
other health issue that is faced by the people who are living in the USA. Due to global warming,
the citizens are not able to get the fresh fruit which affect their health as it can be stated that fresh
food is important for the health of the people. The extreme waves in the USA have also killed
many people living in the society and it targets mainly the elder and poor people in the urban
areas. So, it can be stated due to climate change the issue such as heart disease, asthma and
obesity has been enhanced in the USA (Baer and Singer, 2016).
How does climate change in USA affect biodiversity?
It is analyzed that climate change is affecting the biodiversity of USA and also includes the
variation in the changing season and also with the different species. Loss of Artic sea ice has
affected the biodiversity and it is examined that the pressure of ocean acidification has enhanced
the focus of the carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere. Biodiversity outlook report states, the
water 30% acidic and also it is depleting the carbonate ions that build blocks for the different
marine organisms. The effect of the ocean biological diversity and ecosystem functioning has
affected the biodiversity. The level of CO2 level has been enhanced and today it is changing and

creatures that are growing thinner in relation to their shells. The best example can be of the tiny
sand grain sized plankton who are responsible for the sequestration of 25% to 50% of the overall
carbon that is absorbed by the oceans and it is enhancing he ocean acidification. The tiny
Plankton has an important role in keeping the atmospheric carbon dioxide at the low level as it
helps to reduce the overall impact on the bio diversity. There are also major problems that take
place due to the climate change (Sunday et al., 2017).
It has been reported by the Inter press service that there are ocean areas and also there is a
decline in the costal plants and forests such as mangrove forest has been reduced because of the
carbon absorption. Just because of the change in the climate the biodiversity has been declined.
Also, the climate warms the oceans that also create difficulty for the marine species to live in the
water. This has also impacted the tiny drifting marine organisms named by Phytoplankton. It can
be stated that these are the species that are affected due to the weather change or it can be said
that due to weather change (Urry, 2015). Therefore, it can be stated that climate change affects
biodiversity and also human beings.
