Quality improvement framework
A quality framework is a key factor that ensures the medical facilities are accountable
and committed to providing quality healthcare services through continuous evaluation and
monitoring of the patient’s welfare. Like any other medical facility, strategic management
is a key component for improvement of services for X Healthcare facility for ensuring
quality services to the patients. One of the strategies is through clinical audits that are
reported to facilitate the implemented strategies governed by the clinical policies and
frameworks. It has been reported that the clinical internal auditing is essential for
comparing the current practices to the evidence-based approach. This will boost the
management strategies for acute heart failure for persons above 50 years thus managing
the risk of congestive heart failures

Step 4- Audit indicator development
This involves the mapping of resources required, the practical aspects, and the impacts the audit
will cause to the outcomes.
Step 5- Method
The chosen model for this research study is the audit-intervention-reaudit technique. The model is
aimed at promoting assessment of compliance levels against the existing practice standards,
implementation of improvement strategies and the tests for continuous improvement of care through re-
audits

Step 6 - Sampling and data collection
Sampling is done for medical records for the period of 12 months with the use of mixed methods for data
collection.
Step 7- Data analysis and evaluation
This would require the selected audit team to perform a comparison between the quantitative data for the
current practice against the indicators or the practice standards identified in the first assignment.
Step 8- Feedback
The survey team would be obligated to present the findings to the healthcare team with the period of six
months after the retrieval period of the data is over through a meeting. From the meeting, the identified or
existing gaps or any means of non-compliance will be addressed according to the X healthcare facility
guidelines.
Step 9- Implementation of the best practice standard
After the findings of the audit have been compiled, the success in implementing the audit recommendations
would depend on the factors such as employee motivation, the clinical management practice in place, and the
reliability of the findings.

Step 10- Re-audit
This will occur to evaluate if the changes implemented to the practice have been successful
or effective. During re-auditing, further data is collected to determine whether the
improvement has been achieved to the initial practices by highlighting the areas where the
expectations have been met and those that are lagging behind the expected standards
Ethics
The nurses code of conduct seeks to maintain the patient’s confidentiality and must be up
hold at any costs. All the relevant stakeholders must be aware that the data confidentiality
must be given a high priority and the patients to be informed that any data collected is
aimed to improve the care given to the patients diagnosed with acute heart failure through
evaluation of the documented information. Furthermore, all the respondents to be involved
should be notified that participation in the exercise is voluntary
