INTRODUCTION
The clinical leadership and management refers to utilising relevant theories or styles in
terms of conducting medical practices in proper manner for providing care to service user. It
includes the criteria of fulfilling roles of nursing specialisation accurately which facilitate to
improve patient outcomes (Martin and et. al., 2012). The present report is based on Accuro
Home care which provides care including for aged persons, disabled people, social support,
personal care and many more. This assignment will focus on events leading in conflict situation
and measures to seek immediate resolution. It will also include leadership style employed in
management approaches to resolve conflict and changes which helps to eliminate potential for
similar event to arise.
MAIN BODY
a) Explain the events leading or resulting in the conflict situation
In present time, health care department consists with ample number of conflicts which
creates issues while offerings services to patients that are dealing with severe diseases. In case of
Accuro Home care, which is managed by committed people for the provision of home care
services for community have been going through a couple of complex situation and this took
place because management was not been able to perform in full extent. A number of problems
came in front which raised problem for this home care (Yoder-Wise, 2014). Here, a few events
that can be considered as main factors which created conflicts at workplace where staff members
were less motivated towards work. Like nurses were not giving medication to patients right on
time, clearing department was not that effective which created unhygienic environment for the
home care, lack of communication among professional and medical records were also not
appropriately managed (Twigg and McCullough, 2014).
This impacted negatively on overall performance level of Accuro Home Care. Because of
this, management of this home care was not been able to make modifications as per the
feedbacks that were being given by patients. Henceforth, specific reason that is being identified
over here is that less motivation and less communication among superiors. It is needed to resolve
these issues right on time else reputation of this home care is going to get loose which will
directly impact upon profit margins of Accuro Home Care.

b) Explain your position in the institution/ward/ Workplace
A private organisation in Australia named as Accuro Home Care, if offering proper care
for clients and carers in the comfort of their own homes. This company is proud to provide a
range of services at the times and locations suitable to clients and families. I am designated in
this company as Charge Nurse, and my duty is to manage all the records of patients and manage
the staff (subordinate nurses and ward boys), and try to give proper services to patients as per
their requirements. Apart from this, Accuro's main aim is to invoke independence and self-
esteem through freedom in lifestyle choices.
Thus, I have to focus on these terms so that home care could easily deliver right kind of
services to patients so that they can get good experience (Drennan, 2012). At workplace, of this
home care, I give 8 hours daily in my job and try my level best to assign tasks to individuals
(medical staff members) as per their capabilities because mismanagement in that could lead
patients to suffer. It is also required to offer right kind of compensation to staff so that they may
easily stay motivated and perform well because then only all the issues which is being faced by
both patients and Accuro Home Care can be resolved.
It is also required for me to communicate with staff on a regular basis so that, it could
lead me to embrace overall environment of Accuro Home Care. This can be helpful for both
Charge nurse and employees to give suggestions to each other so that improvement can be done
or managed as well at the same time.
c) Describe the measures you applied to seek immediate resolution
When the whole Accuro Home Care was going through a number of problems which
raised conflicts among staff, healthcare providers and patients as well. Charge Nurse have taken
a number of steps which could be helpful in drawing favourable resolutions in specific time
frame. A few steps like undertaking a whole new healthcare information system because this
may aid in working with ethical norms and conditions at the same time. Apart from this, Charge
Nurse have also implemented a fresh electronic medical records system so that information
related to patients can be stored for a longer time frame and it can also be managed as per the
requirements (Ellis, 2018).
This may aid in pulling out improper medications and will help in reducing conflicts
among staff and patients. Another step, which is being taken by Accuro Home Care's charge
nurse is that it started using hierarchical format through which information can go through or

Leadership is a most specific approach that assist in managing working practices within
an organisation. In this procedure, leader play a most important role in terms of adopting
different style that employed the management properly. In a health care sector, leadership styles
and practices play a most important role in terms of managing business practices effectively.
Accuro home care faces numerous issues due to lack of management and leadership approaches.
These activities influence on customer's values as well as professionals outcomes towards
services users. Major issue that arise due to this mismanagement is lack of proper
communication among professionals, improper maintenance of medical records of patients and
incorrect medication due to lack of trained staff (Rozenblum and et. al., 2013). Therefore, leader
of Accuro home care needs to implement transformational as well as servant leadership for the
betterment of their service practices as -
Transformational leadership – This leadership styles is basically requires to analyse
vision of Accuro home care to shared values that are necessary for the development of
positive relationship with services users. By implementing these leadership style, leader
can provides technical knowledge and training to their staff member for enchaining their
abilities and skill properly. Through this, employees of the firm can easily analyse values
of the clients as well as their requirement for providing better treatment. All these
approaches assist in managing positive relation between clients and professionals.
Transnational leadership approach resolving some major issues as improper maintenance
of medical records as well as inappropriate uses of medication as well. Main objectives of
this approach is to determining clear vision to services provider by enchaining their skills

particular patients so that leader of medical team can take correct decision for welfare of them.

which impact positively on respective outcomes. It is also recommended to implement servant
management approach is required to be used for solving conflict of give hospital as it considers
to take views of service users (Zydziunaite and Suominen, 2014). It includes the criteria to take
opinions and feedback of patients and then make objectives to improve patient outcomes along
with resolving their problems in proper manner. Moreover, these technical and management
changes are mandatory in accuro home care in order to resolve desired problems faced by
infected people and provide then treatment correctly. Additionally, appropriate technical aids and
devices can also utilised to provide support for disabled and aged people to make their lives
comfortable.
