Individual learning needs
As a healthcare professional, I am willing to emphasize my clinical
practice experience on cardio pulmonary resuscitation [CPR] . In this
regards, focus of would be given on basic life support and advanced
cardiac life support . The reason of opting, the particular clinical
experience is because of my previous working experience in my home
country in emergency department as a staff nurse . The exposure in
emergency department has helped in realizing the significance of CPR in
the service delivery .
The chosen clinical practice experience and associated learning
contract would turn out to be beneficial in enhancing my skills and
knowledge to improve my efficacy while operating in emergency
department . It would also allow me to provide care users with holistic
patient care and deliver quality care services (Aqel & Ahmad, 2014) . In
addition to that, gaining specific knowledge on basic life support and
advanced cardiac life support and incorporating it in learning outcomes
would help in specialising in CPR .
Learning objectives
1 .In order to learn the skills associated with CPR and ensure that
it is provided to patients suffering from cardiac arrest, emphasis would be
given on learning the signs of sudden cardiac arrest. Through this object is

basic in nature, but it is essential in forming the edifice of service delivery
in CPR and ensure that CPR is given at the right time . Under this
objective, symptoms associated with breathing status of the patient and
responsiveness can be determined, based on which it can be decided if
CPR is required for the particular patient or not (Roh & Issenberg, 2014) .
Thus, this objective, in spite of being preliminary in nature, forms the
basis of service delivery .
2 . Another learning objective is to gain necessary information and
skills associated with basic life support [BLS] . This would turn out to be
beneficial in providing care services and turn out to be life saving for
patients of cardiac attack, outside the hospital .
3 . The third learning objective is associated with advanced
cardiac life support [ACLS] . Having an understanding of BLS would be
beneficial in acquiring knowledge in ACLS . Thus, the skills and
knowledge gained with its help would be beneficial in providing with
clinical interventions in cases involving stroke, cardiac arrest and life
threatening cardiovascular emergencies and provide with urgent treatment
Pande, Pande, Parate, Pande & Sukhsohale, 2014) . Thus, in such cases,
necessary inventions can be provided as a professional nurse .
Conceptual reflective Framework
In order to analyze and reflect on the effectiveness of the chosen
clinical practice experience, Gibbs reflective framework would be used .

This would help to reflect the learning from the clinical practice
experience and skills and expertise gained with its help . Thus it would
turn out to be beneficial in this project (Jasper, 2011).
Exploration of resources
Human resources- It would involve my course coordinators,
educator and Australian registered nurses with whom I have acquaintances
. Their skills and knowledge in the field of expertise can be considered as
a significant source of information and help me in acquiring knowledge on
healthcare system and develop skills on the chosen clinical experience .
Literature sources- Reliable literature sources like online
resources- PubMed, IHM online library would be beneficial in acquiring
relevant information and knowledge . Sources like journal articles,
magazines would also be helpful .
Learning activities for achieving learning objectives
In order to achieve the learning objectives, the following learning
activities would be undertaken:
Fact finding- In order to find required facts and knowledge
associated with learning objectives, conducting literature and web search
would be helpful . It would help in acquiring evidence based knowledge
and gather first hand sources .

100% attendance in classroom discussion- This would be helpful
in engaging in classroom discussion and clear queries from the instructor .
Self-commitment to the goals and independent self-study-
Commitment towards the goals and giving effort to it, would help in its
accomplishment .
Clinical project
The focus of the proposed clinical project would incorporate
gaining an in depth understanding on CPR along with developing
necessary skills associated with BLS and ACLS . The focus herein would
be to develop necessary skills, take necessary steps and provide with care
services to patients with urgent cardiovascular conditions (Bingham, Sen,
Finn & Cawley, 2015) .
Timeframe
This time frame involved for this project is end of the first
semester .
