Clinical research or evidence based research is an important aspect which is followed by
the nursing professionals so that they could deliver quality care to the patients and could obtain
improved patient outcome through enhanced patient satisfaction (Govranos & Newton, 2014).
There are several means using which, the nursing professionals conduct guided research in
clinical setting. Evidence based practice is one such method using which nursing professionals
research for developed and reliable intervention so that patients could be provided with effective
and accurate interventions for their health ailments (Schiffman et al., 2014). The process, which
is followed for guided clinical trial included five steps such as acquiring evidences from latest
and reliable research articles, appraising the evidence depending on the type of use of
intervention and its pros and cons and finally assess the evidence so that the outcome of the
process on patients could be quantified and adverse effects could be mitigated (Schiffman et al.,
2014). The process of conducting clinical research or evidence based practice is inclusive of
systematic review of latest research articles, conducting randomized control trails or quasi
experiments for assessment of effectiveness of any process and conducting interviews with
experienced healthcare professionals and registered nurses. These are conducted so that through
their clinical experience, new and improved interventions could be developed and applied on
patients (Govranos & Newton, 2014).

clinical setting management so that using the systematic approach, they could analyze the
performance of the professionals and improve their performance (Melnyk et al., 2014). Recent

quality improvement process, occurred in the healthcare facility was focused on eliminating the
defects or malpractices present in the healthcare facility regarding culturally competent care and
inclusive care. Further, replacing those malpractice with appropriate culturally competent care
and inclusive holistic care was assured (Al-Abri & Al-Balushi, 2014). For this quality
improvement process, the healthcare facility implemented the six sigma method using which a
roadmap of problem solving and implement improvement was assured, as the five steps of six
sigma is associated to define, measure, analyze, improve and control. In the quality improvement
process, applied in the clinical settings, had a benchmark obtaining satisfactory feedback from
each patient in case of culturally competency and holistic care. In this process, nursing
professionals played an important role as, they are always in contact with patients and besides
physicians it is their responsibility to take care of the needs of patients (Melnyk et al., 2014).
Therefore, to implement change in the quality improvement process, they should be involved in
the planning to effectively implement it in the process. Therefore, by providing the nursing
professionals with training and educational session would increase their skills to implement the
culturally competent care and holistic care in the working process (Al-Abri & Al-Balushi, 2014).
Further, it is also seen that with the help and assurance of nursing professionals, facilities are
able to implement change in the process and could achieve quality improvement. Therefore, the
role of nursing professionals in the quality improvement process are crucial and effective.

giving proper credibility to the author, a section of their research or the entire research is used
(Foltýnek, Rybička & Demoliou, 2014). Unintentional plagiarism is the process, in which

and citation skills due to which, they are unable to remove the or modify the piece of information
they are using in the process. However while deciding the punishments or deductions applied for
plagiarism, the impact of the plagiarism, intentional or unintentional should be assessed. This is
because, if the plagiarism is unnoticed and the paper is published, the reputation of the author
could be affected and it could affect someone’s hard work for research. as per Camara et al.
(2017), there are many instances, where the writers have intentionally or unintentionally kept the
similar concept as the original author and after the publication of the author the original author’s
credibility gets affected (Carroll, 2015). Therefore, these issues should not be kept in mind and
both intentional and unintentional plagiarism should be punished equally. This would further
help the people, who are making unintentional plagiarism associated mistakes, with development
of abilities related to paraphrasing and citation abilities. Further, it was also seen that applying
penalty on both the type of plagiarism effectively decreases the chances of citing or using
original authors work and affecting the reliability and reputation of the original author (Foltýnek,
Rybička & Demoliou, 2014). Hence, support of penalty for every kind of plagiarism mistakes
has been supported in the discussion.
