junior nurse” Clinical skill fro the Neonatal care for the junior nurse is important because A
Neonatal nurse provide the care for the newborn babies during the first four weeks foe their
life which needs proper care and the babies in this stage are very sensitive and their born are
also not that strong, so they should know how to hold the baby, the times of feeding and other
important things. Their are some of the skills which makes the Neonatal Junior Nurse a skilful
like they should be well-educated, communication skills are also important for them, they

Overview of the topic and its need
Neonatal care is a type of care which majorly deals with care of baby born who are either
sick or premature who receives proper care within Neonatal care (Afulani and et. al., 2020).
Neonatal care I one of those department of the healthcare settings which requires a greater
number of advance clinical skills especially with nurses and doctors who take care of such kind
of babies. This is majorly because nurses in this care unit are the one who take care of most
vulnerable and little members of the society who require crucial and top level of care so because
of this it becomes extremity important for nurses to enhance their clinical skills so that they can
take care of such babies in a more proper and appropriate manner (Shao and et. al., 2018). This
is one of the main reasons because of which it becomes extremely important for junior nurses to
develop clinical skills so that they can fulfil their roles and responsibilities towards baby care in
Neonatal care. This is the main reason which helps in developing and identifying need of this
study i.e. to promote better clinical skills of Neonatal care for junior nurse. This project will help
in explaining project topic in a clear manner, aim and objectives of the research, background of
the project, brief of the project study, evidence and proof of the study, overall budget in which
this project will be completed, Gannt chart which will help in explaining overall schedule of the
project and activity bifurcation. Other than this in this project leadership and change
management model will be explained, success evaluation criteria will be explained,
recommendation and conclusion in a proper manner.
BACKGROUND
Neonatal care are specialized nurseries that are basically designed as an intensive care
unit for taking care of babies who are either sick or premature (Marc-Aurele and English, 2017).
So, for the first 28 days of the life cycle they are take care of in intensive care which is
specifically developed for their care known as Neonatal care. This project will basically focus on
promotion of clinical skills within junior nurses working in Neonatal care units. This project will
also help in explaining reason because of which it becomes important for junior nurses to learn
and develop clinical skills for Neonatal care, not only his, this project will also helps in
explaining role of junior nurses within Neonatal care unit and what are their main roles and

readers understand role of junior nurses in Neonatal care, different types of clinical skills that
should be known and understood by junior nurses and different ways in which healthcare setting
can develop or enhance required clinical skills so that they can effectively fulfil their roles and

2019). For fulfilment of this main, this project will also help in explaining challengers faced by

JUSTIFICATION
The researcher in this research will focus upon explaining types of clinical skills of
Neonatal care are required and importance of these skills in a much better and appropriate
manner. These clinical skills and their importance will be explained by evaluating role of junior
nurses in this field. It is a qualitative type of study in which both primary and secondary data
will be collected and evaluated for analysis of ways to promote clinical skills of Neonatal care.
For primary data a sample population of 50 children has been selected of Neonatal care unit in
children’s hospital. All the collected data will be analysed for answering the main research
question and fulfilling basic need and requirement of the project. This project will be completed
within a time period of 8 weeks. At the end of this project researcher will identify and explain
different methods for promotion of skills and ways in which those skills will increase efficiency
and overall performance of junior nurses in a proper and appropriate manner. Completion of this
project will further help in creating more opportunities for other researcher who want to carry out
research in this field further (Sawyer, Loren and Halamek, 2016). Not only this, with the help of
this project researcher will be able to enhance their leadership and management qualities with the
help of a specific model or approach.
