2CLOUD BASED ENTERPRISE SYSTEM
Introduction:
The approach towards the adaptation of the cloud-based enterprise systems have been
seen to be at high pace, and along with this the frameworks which were used previously for the
purpose of gathering the information or data are seen to be quite different from those frameworks
which are being used in today’s world (Avram, 2014). The advancements in the technology has
been associated with leading towards the developing of more and more developed enterprise
systems. In today’s world most of the organizations are seen to be associated with the usage of
the cloud computing technology along with the cloud based enterprise system for the purpose of
managing their business operation along with storing of information.
Discussion:
This report would be mainly associated with discussing about the usage of the cloud
based enterprise system by the organization PRO which is one of the division of the BAF
industries which is associated with the creation or fabrication and circulation of the proficient car
care products and services. There exists almost 300 wholesalers in the Distributor Network of
PRO in United States as well as internationally. The headquarters of this organization is situated
in Santa California and they are in need of implementing an Enterprise system (Beaty, 2013).
This enterprise system is needed for the purpose of providing them with assistance in dealing
with the various kind of business procedure of the organization such as for maintenance of stocks
and managing of the flow of work orders. The framework which exists in the organization is not
associated with allowing them in making the required unit of measurable changes in the process
of manufacturing as well as in the procedures of production related to the extraction and
powerful purchasing along with the costing and valuing.

Needs of the organization:
The organization PRO is having a constant requirement related to the level of stocks so as
to have proficient buying and is having expectations related to having a computerized generation
of the suitable records related to transportation. This expectation mainly exists for the purpose of
assortment of the chemical items or the products such as the Product Security Data Sheets or the
PSDS (Lin & Chen, 2012). In addition to all they also needed an upgrade of the communication
system as well which exists between the headquarters and the other units existing in the remote
areas. Besides this the assembling procedure of the different products of PRO is also seen to be
consisting of a complicated synthetic plan. Besides this the local and global shipping is also seen
to be requiring the generation of point by point document related to shipping.
Solution for the needs:
After understanding the entire situation the Director of the organization have been
associated with realizing the fact that with the changing business environment in a rapid manner
has been making it entirely impossible to create a custom-designed programming package which
would be meeting all the requirements (Haghighat, Zonouz & Abdel-Mottaleb, 2015). After
realizing the entire situation along with the needs the CEO of the organization has been
associated with making a decision related to the adaptation of a cloud-based ERP software. This
cloud based ERP software would be associated with offering of solutions related to the problems
which are faced by the functional processes of the organization. The usage of the Cloud-based
ERP software has been associated with helping in completing the multiple levels of the Build of
Material or BOM capacity for the intricate concoction equations of the organization (Leitão,
Colombo & Karnouskos, 2016). In addition to this the adaptable reporting engine has been

effectively completing the simple as well as the easy documentation for the delivery and the
customizations.
For all this reasons the organization have been associated with looking for the cloud-
based enterprise system which would be well-defined such as the ERP also known as the
Enterprise Resource Planning which is associated with enabling of the organizations capabilities
in an easy way by means of making the organization capable of moving from the on premise
Information Technology structure to an cloud based environment (Sun, Strang & Firmin, 2017).
Benefits:
Some of the major benefits of using the cloud based enterprise system has been listed below:
Increased efficiency and reduced cost:
The usage of the cloud based enterprise system doesn’t require huge spending of money
upon the purchasing and the maintenance of the equipment’s. This in turn is associated with
drastic reduction in the associated cost. There is no need of spending any kind of money in the
hardware, facilities, utilities or the building of large data centers so as to grow the business. In
addition to this there is also no need of having large IT teams so as to handle the operations of
the cloud data centers and the reason behind this that all the data would be managed and handled
by the experts present at the side of the cloud service provider (Xu et al., 2017). Cloud is also
associated with reduction of the costs associated with the downtime and the reason is that the
downtime in the clouds is very rare which in turn means that there is no need of spending time or
money in the process of fixing any kind of potential issues related to the downtime.

Security of the data:
Security is the major concern of each and every organization irrespective of the size or
the type of industry. Security of the data is considered to be one of the most important aspect of
any organization. Any kind of security breach or attack by cybercriminals can turn out to be very
devastating for the organization as well as for its revenue along with the loyalty of the customers
and the positioning of the brand. Cloud based enterprise system is associated with providing
advanced security features which are in turn associated with guaranteeing the fact that the data of
the organization is being stored securely and handled (Muslmani, et al., 2018). There exists a
baseline protection for every platform as well as for the data that they process like the access
control, authentication and encryption. And from here different organizations are associated with
supplementing of these protection along with some additional security measures of their own for
the purpose of bolstering of the protection of the data present in the cloud along with being
associated with tightening of the access to all the sensitive information present in the cloud.
Scalability:
The Needs related to Information technology or IT is seen to be varying from one
organization to another which means, enterprises having larger number of employees is having
an entirely different IT requirement as compared to an small organization having small number
of employees (López & Ishizaka, 2017). The usage of the cloud is associated with providing of a
great solution related to scalability and the reason behind this is that it enables the enterprises in
scaling up of the IT resources in accordance to their needs in an efficient and quick manner.
