Introduction
In this assessment report, the concept of the solutions based on cloud computing will be
discussed. The benefits and drawback regarding the cloud-based solution will be discussed. The
report will also discuss specific agile methodologies like rational unified process and scrum. The
recommendations will be given according to the discussion.

Cloud-based solutions
The cloud-based solutions are the applications, the on-demand services, the storage, the
computer networks or the resources which are accessed by using the internet and through the
service providers. There are many benefits of solutions based on cloud computing. The benefits
that are provided to the businesses and the end-users access of more scalability, high amount of
storage, various functionalities and low maintenance cost (Deputy, 2019). The solutions based on
cloud computing gives the company the privilege to only focus on the initiatives that are driving
the revenue and not wasting time by doing activities that are non-Core and time-consuming. The
cloud-based solutions are very convenient for the companies and these models, sites and
applications are operated by the servers. Visually the cloud providers offer subscription at the
same time you pay for the solutions which let the companies manage their cost according to their
needs.
Cloud-based solutions are available for small-sized businesses and big businesses are also. The
growth of cloud based solutions is because these solutions can be accessed using the internet
connection from anywhere in the world.
The advantages of cloud-based solutions are as follows:
1. The implementation is easy
the cloud facilities provide businesses the capability to hold the applications that the
company was using before and retain the business processes irrespective of delay with
technicalities of the backend. The cloud infrastructure is easily manageable by the
Enterprises as it is accessed via the internet and the management is quick and easy.
2. Accessibility: by using the cloud-based solutions one can have access to his or her data
anytime and anywhere. The cloud infrastructure increases the efficiency, the effectivity,
the productivity of the company as the application is accessible anytime conveniently.
The management system becomes more effective and efficient as the data is shared
across a single platform and is accessible by the users located in multiple locations.
3. No hardware: as the application is hosted in the cloud there is no need for physical
storage but there should always exist a back of the book and the processes in case
anything goes down.

4. Cost solutions are very affordable to the company's due to which the cost per head is very
low. This gives the company a relatable profit without exploiting the employee.
5. Flexibility the cloud-based solutions are scalable and can adjust to the growth of the
company.
6. Recovery the downtime of the cloud computing applications are less which makes the
recovery efficient and faster with more accuracy.
The disadvantages of using cloud-based solutions are listed below:
1. No control when the data and the processes are moved to the cloud it is no longer in
control as the data has been handed over to the service providers (Clear Spider, 2019).
2. The difference in features the majority of the cloud services is different. Not every
service provider offers all the premium features sometimes the service providers’ offers
only the Limited features but the recommended ones which deprive the client of using
every feature or to do customization according to their needs.
3. Issues related to bandwidth the clients should plan how much amount of data will be she
sent to the service as some service providers do not have enough bandwidth to process a
large amount of data and give an ideal performance.
The basic warehouse system is not appropriate for the case study that is mentioned above as it
will only be useful for or locating the stock ok and leveling the stock of the goods in the
warehouse. The case study that is mentioned above requires an advanced warehouse
management system which is dynamic and runs on cloud computing services. The backbone and
the support of any business are their warehouse operations. The warehouse operations should be
efficient as the whole business relies on it.
The cloud-based warehouse management system will assist the business perfectly as it will
include various features like automated maintenance of stock levels, real-time inventory
management system, management of orders, routing the orders, etc. (Unicommerce, 2019) Using
the cloud-based solution there will be benefits like,
1. Increase in the productivity of labor
2. Better utilization of empty space in the warehouse better inventory management
3. Increase in shipment on time

Agile Methodologies
The Rational Unified Process and the scrum methodologies are the agile methodologies. These
are the projects that are followed by the project when carrying out the respective activities
according to the project plan. Rational Unified Process is the method in which there is a formal
definition of the project milestones and the scope with their associated dates. Whereas on the
other side the scrum methodology does not use scope but instead uses backlog to meet the
project requirements. The backlog egg is redefined at every end of the iteration. The Rational
Unified Process divides the life cycle of the project into four important phases. These four faces
are Inception, construction, transition, and elaboration. In fact, SCRUM coordinates that the
entire "standard" lifecycle fits into one accentuation (Smartsheet, 2019). By the day's end, a
remarkable weight for one accentuation at some random minute is settled and after that, the
entire cycle occurs inside one accentuation (for instance the necessities for a particular segment
are assembled, recorded as a customer story, by then coded, attempted and presented for the
customer overview).
Criteria Rational Unified Process SCRUM
Approach Iterative Iterative
Cycle The project lifecycle is
divided into four stages
(Inception, construction,
transition, and elaboration).
It uses backlog and iteration
to complete the lifecycle of
the project.
Scope The scope of the project is
predefined. The scoped is
determined before the starting
of the project. The scope can
be later revised for the
clarification.
It does not use the scope. It
uses backlog which is
verified every time an
iteration has ended.
Planning The definition of the project
plan is formal. Multiple

of the project completion is
done by the project owner.
Project Type/ Product Type This methodology is
recommended for the long
term, large industry-level
projects. Usually, the
complexity is between
medium to high.
This methodology is
recommended for the quick
projects and enterprises
which does not have any
deadline.
Artifacts Vision Document, Formal
Definition, Package for
requirements, the architecture
of the system, development
plan, testing plan, etc.
Operational software is the
sole formal artifact.
To maximize the development process and build the most effective warehouse management
system, cloud computing and agile methodology should be combined. SCRUM methodology
acts as the best catalyst between the two technologies and maximizes the output and efficiency of
the system. The SCRUM provides features like flexibility and scalability which are lacking in
the traditional software. The SCRUM is the most appropriate methodology as each and every
production which is done in the development results in a feature of the product that can be
shipped at any time. At the end of every iteration, the client gets a new, fully functional and pre-
tested component of the software.
With Scrum, you're re-arranging your errand list before every creation run. This accomplishes
three things that serve to change your entire progression process:
1. It empowers you to react and respond quickly and adequately to new necessities, centered
forces, and fundamental exercises.
2. It enables you to dispatch a concentrated on a subset of your item much sooner, with the
objective that you can amass veritable market information and manufacture your thing
out reliant on that input.

3. It ensures that paying little respect to what's gone already, you're ceaselessly managing
whatever the business considers is most huge around at that point.
