Introduction
Prior of conducting the business research, I attended a learning course of 12 weeks. The
intension of this 12 week learning course was to develop my research learning experience so that
I become able to conduct any business research successfully in my academic life. The learning
course provided me with best experience in my life. With the learning experience, I became
capable of successfully completing the literature review and research proposal on the topic
“advantages and disadvantages in cloud computing”. This reflective journal will discuss my
learning experience throughout the 12 week learning course in weekly manner.
Week 1
This week was related to the learning of different types of nature, strategies and processes
of business research. In this week, I came to know about the general research principles and
strategies that can be applicable to all kinds of researches. From my opinion, such experience can
be highly valuable for me to conduct every kind of researched in my future academic life. On the
other hand, I understood the significant difference between the academic research and business
research. Hence, such learning experience would surely be useful for me in conducting effective
business research in my near future. Apart from that, the learning experience regarding the
business research can also be helpful for me to understand the factors associated with the
businesses.
Week 2
In week 2, I learned the ways of research planning and research design of different kinds
of researches. I realized that research method is completely different from the research design,

which serves different purposes in research study. Most interestingly, I learned about the
concepts of experimental, cross sectional, longitudinal, case study and comparative research
extremely significant for completing the research study successfully. Such learning experience
can be extremely useful in the selection of right research method and research planning for
completing the business research effectively. The learning about business research can not only
help me in my academic life, but is can also help in establishing my professional life. Moreover,
I gathered wide range of practical experience regarding the business research, which can help in
establishing my professional life in business field. The learning course was the best experience in
my academic life.
Week 3
In week 3, I came to know regarding the writing process and review of business research.
I realized that reviewing the prime research ideas and continue researching based on those ideas
is the central factor of any business research. Furthermore, I understood that clear and concise
research structuring is highly valuable for smooth research conduct and reaching at accurate
research result. In this week, I also learned about the social norms to be maintained in the
process of business research. Such learning experience can be important for me in my personal
life to understand the personal valued of the people surrounding me. It will help me in having
broader insights in my personal life. Apart from that, I realized the immense importance of
researching abilities towards reaching at authentic research result. Such experience will be
helpful in enhancing my searching abilities that is extremely important for my further researches.

Week 4
This week was linked with the leaning of research ethics and ethical principles for
completing the research study successfully. In this week, I learned about the ethical principles
and codes associated with business research and professional association that can guide me
throughout my business research process towards its successful completion. Such experience can
also be helpful for me for personal as well as professional life to maintain ethics in every aspect.
In all the aspect, I would be able to complete my work with honesty and ethics. I become aware
regarding the boundaries between ethical and unethical business research practice. In this way,
such experience will encourage and help me to choose right and ethical practice in every aspect.
The learning experience was highly valuable for gaining business research learning experience
and unparallel experience regarding the research study. The learning experience was also helpful
for me to develop my entrepreneurial skills.
Week 5
In this week, I learned about the details of qualitative research and preciously read the
qualitative research process. I noticed that the qualitative researchers are mostly inclined towards
preferring visual materials and observing the behavior of the research participants for reaching at
the authenticity level of the research study. I properly understood the difference between the
qualitative research and quantitative research and their actual contribution in enhancing the
quality of the research result. Apart from that, this week was extremely vital to understand the
types of interview questions to be asked to the research question. I realized that it is preferable to
ask open ended questions to the research participants for getting the details information
regarding the business research topic. The read several lecture notes and watched YouTube
videos for understanding the topic of cloud computing for better conducting the research. In this

week, I searched a lot regarding the research topic on different websites for coming up with the
best information for conducting the business research.
Week 6
This week was associated with learning of interview method to gather most effective
qualitative data from the research participants. The realized the flexible nature of qualitative
research and understood that the researchers need to apply random sampling method for
gathering the research participants at their convenient place. This learning experience has
enhanced my interpersonal skills to interact with others. I attended several sessions on the topic
of focus group data collection. Furthermore, I was read about this technique on the different
websites, but I face extreme difficulties in understanding the focus group method. I identified
several issues associated with this research method. I had no idea about conducting business
research prior of attending the learning course. However, after attending the learning session and
reading and watching the combination of lecture slides, websites and YouTube, I became able to
prepare the assignment 1 and assignment 2 of my business research.
Week 7
This learning course of this week was linked with the learning is qualitative data analysis.
Moreover, it was associated with extracting the right meaning of the data collected from the
selected respondents. One of the most significant things that I learned in this week is the codified
rules for assessing and governing the qualitative data gathered from the research respondents.
The business research was quite helpful for me to get practical experience regarding the analysis
of qualitative data. Moreover, such research thought me the increasing and prominent usage of
secondary analysis associated with qualitative data. The business research allowed me to think in

calculative and strategic manner regarding the usage of cloud computing and directed my mind
towards the managerial direction for business progress. In this way, the business research was
extremely helpful for me to enhance my entrepreneurial skills.
Week 8
This week was completely related to the learning of quantitative research and its
associated sampling process. The measurement process associated with the quantitative method
suggested the search indicator for the business research. I read about several types of sampling
process and their association with the business research. From my perspective, probability
sampling can be extremely useful in reducing the errors and biasness in the quantitative data that
is collected from the selected research respondents. While conducting my business research, I
clearly set accurate research sampling method and sampling size for collecting information
regarding the cloud computing. Hence, it can be said that the business research, especially
assignment 2 provided me hand on experience regarding the survey and interview method. Such
experience would be quite essential for me to conduct better research in near future. Through my
business research, I also understood several research variables based on cloud computing, which
can help me in taking better business decision for my organization in future.
Week 9
In this week, I learned the ways of conducting structured interview that is highly
important for standardizing the ways of conducting interview with the selected research
participants. The data retrieved through the structured interview can be damaged with the
response sets. Apart from that, I studied regarding the manners of designing self-completion
questionnaires, which can have many similarities with the structured interview. I prepared

assignment 1 of my business research for collecting core information regarding my business
research topic. I learned the theoretical study regarding the research topic in highly
comprehensive manner. Furthermore, assignment 1 and assignment 2 provided the opportunity to
gaining the practical insights into the research filed. The sampling experience gathered from
assignment 2 has enhanced my judgment and decision making abilities. The practical initiatives
assisted me in determining the data interpretation and experiencing the experimental method for
conducting the research study. Moreover, I became capable of understanding the research report
only after conducting the business research.
Week 10
In 10th week, I discovered the alternative of survey method, which is structured
observation for gathering the data set from chosen respondents. The method is generally
associated with explicit rules for recording the behavior of the participants involved in the data
collection. In this week, the learning process majorly focused on the importance of reactive
affects to assess the collected data in appropriate manner. Apart from that, I also studied about
the ways of content analysis associated with qualitative data. The clarity of research question has
been highlighted as the most important matter in such analysis. In assignment 2, I selected the
most appropriate research methods for collecting the authentic research information. Hence, the
purpose of conducting business research was to provide me with the best and real life experience
on the field of business research.
Week 11
The learning course of this week was linked with the secondary analysis towards
conducting the research successfully. This kind of analysis always deals with high quality data

set in reasonable manner and large set of research representatives. I also discovered several
advantages associated with secondary data analysis. Moreover, I realized that official statistics
are less likely to lead erroneous research result. The practices learned from the practical research
allowed to use those experiences in promoting the business values. On the other hand, the
strategies learned from the business research can help me to initiate cloud computing in my
future business areas. The learning experience was also useful for managing the people with new
business initiatives for exploring new business opportunities. Furthermore, the learning
experience gathered from different types of data analysis can facilitate in successfully
completing my research program.
Week 12
In week 12, I understood the increasing significance of mixed method research for
finding best and authentic research result. However, I recognized some issues associated with
mixed methods like ontological impediments. The learning experience that I gathered from the
mixed method research can assisted me in conducting several types of business researches in my
academic research. The knowledge generated from the learning experience can be high essential
for me to identify any kind of issues associated with business research. Furthermore, throughout
the research learning, I learned effective ways of solving several challenges associated with the
business research. Such kind of learning can be highly essential for me towards resolving several
challenges associated with my personal as well as future career life. The learning experience
through the survey and interview method can be quite useful for me to enhance my
communication and interpersonal skills. It can facilitate me a lot in building great relationship
with people in my personal and professional life with smooth and warm interaction with them.

Conclusion
While concluding reflective journal, I can declare that the 12 week learning course can be
highly valuable for me in developing my personal skills as well as professional skills. From
assignment 1, I learned the ways of assessing scholarly information regarding any particular
research topic. Hence, such learning experience would be helpful for me in gaining quick
insights in any business research in my future academic life. On the other hand, assignment 2
provided me with huge experience regarding the interacting with the research participants to
collect research information. In this way, such learning experience can be extremely essential for
enhancing my interpersonal and communication skills, which is high significant for developing
personal life as well as processional life.
