Abstract
In recent discussions, the cloud platforms have formed a major area of discussion
and thus have become one of the most widely discussed topics within research areas.
Wide the broad suite of advantages supported by the platform, the cloud has become
one of the primary areas of use within the data storage market as considered by
leading organizations. Based on focusing on the aspects of data storage, the data
recovery and data backup have also formed integral parts by associating them with
the cloud platforms. The rise in the number of cyber-attacks and data breaches
within the cloud platforms have also raised concerns for incorporating security
systems within the cloud platforms. Every organization would require an efficient
business continuity plan that would be backed up with high-end data storage and
security systems. Hence, businesses and industries using the cloud platform have
also focused on the implementation of efficient form of security measures during
storing useful data records and files over the cloud platform. However, along with
the importance of data backup and recovery, different other aspects should also be
considered before the full implementation of cloud computing facility for industries.
The discussion within the research would thus lay emphasis on the wide ranging
benefits and pre-requirements based on the implementation and use of cloud
computing platforms within the industries. Thus, the primary aim of conducting the
research is based on presenting a brief overview of the techniques to be used during
data backup and performing disaster recovery within the cloud environment.
