Introduction
Cloud Computing is the method by which the data can be stored on the online portal. This is
online facility that can be used by the different for storing the data of Finance, customers and
other operational practices (Khanagha, et. al., 2014). In this assessment research proposal is
made on the basis of different goals that are decided in this research. For the better analysis BHP
is taken as organisation. This is Australia organisation that used to provide services and products
of mining. The research is being conducted in the different steps. The accomplishment of the
research practice is performed in the effective manner.

The different objectives are: -
 To analyse the productivity of cloud computing for organisation.
 To evaluate the efficiency of cloud computing in facilitating organisational practices.
 To determine the impact of cloud computing on the performance of employees.

Project Scope
The scope of this research project is quite wide. There can be different impacts that can occur
because of cloud computing on the particular organisation like BHP. This can be analysed in the
descriptive manner in this research project. There can be analysis of factors that can facilitate the
use of cloud computing in the organisation. This will provide the information about the project in
accordance with that are decided for this research project. The operational improvement that can
occur with the help of cloud computing can also be analysed in the exploratory method.

Literature Review
Cloud Computing is the method by which the data for the particular thing or process can be
stored online. This is the computing technique that can be used by organisation like BHP. The
specification of the materials that are processed for the mining can stored in the effective manner
because of cloud computing. Cloud-computing provides the facility of storing the data that is
beneficial for accomplishing the operations in actual proposed way (Ramgovind, et. al., 2010). It
is facilitating the administration of BHP.
The proper analysis of the particular material meeting all the standards is the operational function
of the mining. It is very hard to analyse the particular material that is being explore for the
mining (Ramgovind, et. al., 2010). It is the cloud computing that can facilitate this type of
function for the organisation that is involved in mining. With the data is stored in the cloud
computing it can be easily analysed that the particular explore material is suitable for further
process after mining or not.
The information about the customers is also stored in the Cloud Computing. There are different
types of clients that are associated with the organisation like BHP. The client companies are also
associated with this organisation (Khanagha, et. al., 2014). The client company used to take the
material from this organisation in bulk. The data of the finance and the data of purchasing that is
accomplished by the clients can be stored with the help of cloud computing. This can be helpful
for accomplishing the business of this organisation (Zhang, et. al., 2010). The targeting of the
customer can be accomplished with the help of data is stored of the client.
According to Beloglazov, et. al., 2012, The investment that are accomplished by this
organisation can also be stored on the platform of cloud computing. This data can be useful for
the accounting purposes. The different decision making process can be accomplished with the
help of investment that are taken place. The future decision making can also be accomplished
with the help of cloud computing. In this way it can be said that Cloud Computing also helps in
decision making process for the particular organisation like BHP.
According to Peltier, 2016, There are different type of limitations that can be the result because
of cloud computing. The entry of the malware can be possible. The particular Malware can affect

the data that is stored in the cloud of BHP. This can result in total destroy of the data that is being
is stored. This will affect the functioning and working of this organisation.
The situation in which hackers can hack the important data that is stored in the cloud of BHP. In
this situation the hacker can sell important data to competitor of BHP. The data will be
purchased by the competitor of this organisation (Jadeja & Modi, 2012). Then this data can be
used in targeting of the client of this organisation. This will provide the competitive advantage to
the competitor of this organisation.
Therefore it can be said that Cloud Computing is impacting positively as well as negatively on
the organisational practices and performance. The main reason behind the negative impact of
cloud computing for the particular organisation like BHP is security threat to the data that can be
possible because of Malware and hacking (Bayramusta & Nasir, 2016). There can be possibility
of the deliberate threat in which the employee of the particular organisation like BHP can breach
the data of this organisation and give it in wrong hands.

Research gaps and hypothesis
There can be possibility of the different exploration that can be possible for this research. There
are different types of Technologies that are associated with Cloud Computing that can be
discussed and analysed for the research project which is not done in this research project
(Baskerville, et. al., 2014). There can be the analysis of factors that are responsible for data threat
that can be analysed that are associated with cloud computing is also not discussed in the
descriptive way for this research project. There is more scope that can be targeted like data
mining process in the cloud computing which is also not determined in this research project. The
accomplishment of the objectives that are decided for this research can be done with the help of
assumptions. For these there can be different hypothesis that are: -
Hypothesis 1 Cloud Computing is facilitating in functioning of organisation like BHP which is
resulting in good productivity.
Hypothesis 2 cloud computing is increasing the efficiency of organisation like a BHP and its
practices.
Research questions
Primary question
 How cloud computing is facilitating the practices of organisation in accomplishing
productivity and efficiency?
Secondary question
 What can be the different impacts of cloud computing on organisation?
 Is cloud computing is beneficial for BHP like organisation?

Research Methodology
The research is being accomplished in the two methodologies
Qualitative methodology
The data is collected from the different relevant sources. This is making this research
meaningful. The data is collected from the different websites, magazine and journal articles. All
the data that is used in this research is making this research significant in nature (Jayanthi, 2017).
Quantitative methodology
In this methodology different views and opinions are collected. On the basis of different views
and opinions different results are analysed. A particular population is included in the research.
The particular population belongs to a certain domain for which the research is being
accomplished. For this research a total number of 40 respondents are taken into consideration. A
questionnaire is made that is having different questions relating to topic. Then different
responses are collected.

Research findings
Total number of 35 respondent believe that Cloud Computing is productive for the organisation
like BHP 10 respondent believe that Cloud Computing is not enhancing efficiency of the
organisation like BHP. 29 respondent believes that there can be different Threads that can be
possible because of cloud computing. 11 respondent believe that it is not so that there can be
threat possible because of cloud computing. Most of the people believe that privacy of clients
affected because of cloud computing. Most of the employees also believes that employees
performance improved because of cloud computing.

Research limitation
There was very less time for the conduct of research. Therefore exploratory form of research
cannot be accomplished. The formative and summative methodology of the research is not
implemented in the efficient manner. There can be more questions that can be included in the
questionnaire that can provide more data for this research (Henson & Garfield, 2015).
Technologies that are associated with Cloud Computing can be focused which is not focused in
this research.

Conclusion
It can be concluded that cloud computing is impacting positively on the working and functioning
of the organisation like BHP. This is resulting in enhancement of productivity and efficiency of
the organisation. The overall functioning for the data storing can be accomplished in the efficient
manner for the organisation like BHP. This is impacting positively for this organisation. There
are also negative impacts that are possible because of cloud computing.
