Discussion Board Post
AI Summary
This discussion board post delves into the multifaceted realm of cloud computing, examining its various service models such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). It critically analyzes the advantages of cloud solutions, including scalability and cost efficiency, while also addressing the drawbacks, such as security vulnerabilities and data privacy concerns. The post explores the apprehension among IT professionals regarding cloud services, specifically focusing on data security and control. Furthermore, it identifies and discusses the greatest risks associated with adopting a cloud-based solution, such as data breaches and service disruptions. The post is well-researched, utilizing APA style formatting and providing web references to support its claims. The assignment provides a comprehensive overview of cloud computing, making it an ideal resource for students studying computer science.

CLOUD COMPUTING
1. Following are the different types of Cloud computing:
SaaS: SaaS refers to Software as a Service. This means that cloud computing can help in
providing software as its one of the services. Cloud computing has been helping in providing
expensive software as a rent from cloud service providers (Botta et al. 2016). The applications
are facilitated on remote servers, and customers get to the applications through the Internet. SaaS
enables the applications to be introduced and kept up in a solitary area instead of requiring the
applications to be introduced and kept up on every customer PC. The upkeep and bolster costs
are lower, and the underlying expense of programming licenses can likewise be decreased by and
large.
PaaS: PaaS refers to Platform as a Service. This means that cloud computing has been
providing different platforms as their services to various users and organizations. In this service,
platforms are grouped together as entire cloud solutions can be integrated to computer of user.
The benefit of PaaS is that applications can be introduced in the virtual condition and made
accessible to the majority of the clients in an association in a steady and cost-proficient way
(Hashem et al. 2015). All clients are given similar applications with similar alternatives. Backing
and preparing costs are lower with PaaS, and clients can get to the majority of their required
applications and information from any area with Internet get to.
IaaS: IaaS refers to Infrastructure as a Service. It means that cloud computing has been
able to provide infrastructure as their services. Information storage, correspondences,
applications, and other systems administration administrations are given. With IaaS, associations
maintain a strategic distance from any immediate inclusion in the buy, establishment, and upkeep
of system administrations.

2. Following are the benefits and drawbacks of cloud computing:
Cloud computing provides services that can be accessed from anywhere and anytime with
the help of internet. The services have been scalable and reduces the usage of hardware for
storage of data and information. It also helps in minimizing the initial cost of hardware.
However, there have been various cloud security issues prevailing in the cloud solutions.
Data and solution are directly uploaded to the cloud server and no back up is stored at local
server (Ali, Khan & Vasilakos, 2015). Therefore, transferring data from local hardware to cloud
server become risky.
3. Any application that is information and figuring concentrated will be a decent contender
for a distributed computing based administration. Imagining huge scale datasets is one such
application. Imagining vast scale datasets includes two perspectives: substantial scale
information preparing and a perception interface (Chen et al., 2016). To utilize the distributed
computing condition for expansive scale information handling, arrange execution issues, for
example, "the unevenness of data transfer capacity of PC sets" should be considered. A model
structure has been proposed for the plan of perception administration to huge information
originating from the distributed computing condition that bolsters the accompanying end-client
usefulness.
4. Confidentiality and privacy of data and information have been the main security issues
faced in cloud computing. There is no instrument to guarantee the security of the information.
The information should just be open by the applicable gatherings (Almorsy, Grundy & Müller,
2016). There are an excessive number of conceivable outcomes the information will be
investigated by the not significant gatherings.
