Introduction
The aim of the report is to evaluate the cloud computing concepts. The report will focus
on evaluating the different structures that are offered with the cloud computing models. The
models that are selected for the purpose of evaluation include IAAS, SAAS and PAAS. The
report will focus on highlighting the features of these three models. Apart from this the report
will also focus on outlining the features offered with SaaS model that can help in accessing the
local and remote data from different data sources. The second major concern of this report is to
evaluate and justify the reason behind selected AWS for SellOn Company. This has been
discussed in the assessment 1. Lastly the report will conclude by providing suitable
recommendation for enhancing the performance of the organization.
Part 1:
IAAS (infrastructure as a service)
Infrastructure as a service is referred to the model that helps in delivering the services
over internet. The main reason behind using IaaS is that it offers the users with load balancers,
disk storage via virtual machines, software packages and ensures better performance towards the
organization. the major advantages that are likely to be offered with the use of IaaS cloud model
is that it offers easy access over the structure and allows the users to have full control over the
computer resources along with better portability. The organization offers the easiest control over
the system. This model allows the customer to pay as per the needs of the organization. IaaS
offers take and bake service. In this type of model the IaaS provider owns the infrastructure, for
providing transparent services towards the customers. IaaS provider ensures that the service is
provided completely based on the policy. This are responsible for mainly providing housing,
operating and maintaining the equipment towards the respective organization. Clients are
allowed to pay based on their use. The characteristics that are associated with Iaas services are
that it offers dynamic scaling, ensures automated administrative tasks, internet connectivity and
platform virtualization.

model that offers distribution of software towards the respective customer’s access. This allows
the software access over the internet. The major features that are offered with the SaaS vendors
are that it allows the system to update the database automatically without the need of customer
intervention, the service is purchased on a subscription basis, no hardware is required to be
installed by the customer, and lastly the SaaS is also known to be hosted software or on-demand
software.
Platform as a Service (PaaS)
PaaS uses the Internet connection for the purpose of hosting the software applications.
PaaS is one of the cloud computing architecture that ensures better performance of the system
throughout the organization. Platform as a service is referred to the cloud computing model in
which a third party provider. PaaS provider hosts the hardware and software components on its
own infrastructure. The main principle behind developing a model using PaaS is that it offers
simplicity.
The main feature that is offered with the SaaS architectural model is that it offers
effective deployment options and ensures that there is a proper balance maintained between the
data security and application. This helps in ensuring that proper data storage is provided towards
the customer and ensures that it becomes easy to track the local data that are stored within the
system.

services for the purpose of using in already existing applications, or design. So that the user can
ensure proper development, deploy, test and host applications.

to ensure that the system is being developed with proper technologies. The main services that are
offered with the implementation of AWS in an organization are that it helps in identifying and
accessing the management that will securely control the access over the AWS resources. Beside
this the system also needs to include the AWS artifact that will enable the organization to
download the major security compliance for carrying out the activities within the organization.

operational and risk auditing of the organization so that they can address all the essential
components associated with the organization.

AWS. This offers a virtual server computer that has the ability to provide better opportunity for
enhancing the performance. This will be beneficial for the security level as it ensure better
performance throughout the system. The most suitable approach for the SellOn Company is the
SaaS architecture. The main reason is that it offers huge flexibility at the time of use and ensures
that the cost is being reduced to a great extent. Apart from this the computing also ensures
availability of a great data storage along with a personalized computing and on demand scaling
feature.
